Spirit Farm (DD) c8
Added 2024-07-18 17:51:19 +0000 UTC~~~~~~Couple Days Ago~~~~~~
Tang San walked through the forest as he looked for the right Spirit Beast.
He remembered what Master said about which ones to hunt.
‘Poisonous plants and animals fit me well!’
The blue-haired boy looked around for his prey.
Eventually, he saw movement and then an animal scream!
‘Hmm?’
He walked over and saw a rabbit-like spirit beast trapped in vines!
‘Ghost vines! Thats it! and aura looks like it's yellow!’ What he saw fits him well!
The reincarnator ignored the struggling rabbit and instead charged at the vines, which were working hard to melt the struggling spirit beast.
What Tang San saw was an opportunity, so he rushed at the vines, pulled out his knife, and started chopping them off.
The Ghost vines felt the attack stopped working on the rabbit and tried to defend itself.
But the blue-haired boy was not an easy prey as he was quite nimble.
Midway, the rabbit was able to escape, but seconds later, a passing wind wolf hunted it down.
‘Not Good’
Tang San looked with worry as he realised that he attracted more predators!
‘I have to do this as quickly as possible!’ He pulled out his second knife as his effort doubled.
After slashing and cutting the vines, the plant stopped, and a very light yellow ring with a white tint appeared…
**Tsk!!!**
Tang San saw the ring and slightly clicked his tongue, but then he saw the wolves.
He didn’t have much choice. Those wolves have yellow auras, too.
If he doesn’t absorb it, those wolves will chew on him.
So he swiftly pulled the spirit ring, climbed onto a tree and proceeded to absorb it there.
Midway through absorbing the ring, the wolves were done with the rabbit and looked at Tang San, who was in the tree.
They started circling him.
One of the wolves would ram the tree and then return to circling, the beasts would switch rams and then return to circling, and another would ram.
Not long after that, the tree would start cracking from the constant assaults.
But then the absorption ended, and Tang San got his ring, and his cultivation rose to Rank 11.
The boy stood up and looked at the wolves.
“Let’s see if you like the same treatment!” The boy dropped to the ground, as his rank had boosted his confidence.
“First ring ability! Parasite!” Tang San exclaimed loudly, declaring his attack; his light yellow ring glowed…
But nothing happened!
“...What!?”
He expected to summon grass, which could infect the enemies. But all it does is place parasites in enemies! He has nothing which summons the grass!
‘Damn! The ring was too young! The abilities are lacking!’
Tang San realised that he had messed up!
The wolves started to attack in groups, and Tang San needed to defend himself and prepare to run away.
‘Thankfully, I still have some of that poison!’
Internally, he was grimacing as he realised that he was using Bai Chen’s poison to save himself! Again!
Such an emotion fed his anger as he proceeded to pull out knives with the snake toxins.
As the wolves lunged, he stabbed and cut them before being pushed back.
The wolves hurt him, and in turn, he hurt the wolves.
But that was enough. The wolves realised that the human was poisonous, so they swiftly retracted, bringing back their poisoned comrades.
“Phew…”
Tang San swiftly rushed back to the academy. He needs to cultivate quickly to rank 20 so that he can get a better ring for his second one.
~~~~~~Couple Days Later~~~~~~
This time, I was not alone while exploring the forest. Xiao Wu was with me, and she wanted to explore it alongside me.
From my observations, I already noticed that the farmstead has warped her mind, and not that much time has passed.
Now the question is, what is the limit of the corruption?
‘Can I corrupt Gu Yuena?’
My eyes widened as I realised that I could infiltrate the centre of the forest and kidnap the Silver Dragon King! There is no way I would skip such an opportunity!
Having a dragon like her is a must for someone who lives in Soul Land!
With a new idea in mind, I now have a purpose for training!
‘I need to reach Titled Duoluo with my Ghost Wind Wolf. Then, I can find an animal which could work well for infiltrations…
‘Something unique…’
I pondered for a bit as Xiao Wu grabbed my hand.
“Look, there are wolves over there. Something is going on.”
She pointed at some wind wolves in the distance. They look worried.
‘Well, well, I got a set right there~’
A small smirk appeared on my lips.
I found what I was looking for; it will be enough this time around, even if the reason I am here is wood, not spirit beasts.
“I will be capturing those,” I said to Xiao Wu.
“...If this is what you want. I can help.” She said with a small smile.
“Sure, all I need is to drag them into the farmstead,” I said to her while I merged with my wolf spirit.
“Ok, so I will pin them down!.”
The girl rushed head first into the wolves.
‘Such reckless behaviour, no wonder she was made for that grass idiot.’
With a sigh, I rushed after her as well.
The girl grabbed the first wolf and slammed it to the ground with her legs. She was extremely acrobatic with her movements. Her first skill was a waist throw, which allowed her to get into position and incorporate other moves before activating in succession.
It's an interesting way to use it, but then again, it's natural for her because she is a spirit beast.
After taking two, the third one didn’t resist. It was quite meek.
Xiao Wu stopped before she grabbed the last one as she looked at the animal.
“I think he wants to show us something.” The girl said to me.
“Yes, I can see that. They already wanted to say something to us in the first place.” I said to her with a sigh.
“Tehehehe…” they laughed at her over-the-top actions.
I walked over and collected the knocked-out wolves, motioning for the meek one to show me what was going on.
“...Well, normally, he should be running away after seeing how you made his pack disappear.” The bunny girl pointed out the absurdity.
“Well, I didn’t kill them.” I rolled my eyes. What can I say? That my farm corrupts?
Regardless, the wolf still showed us a small hollowed-out tree trunk where poisoned wolves were.
I walked over and inspected them.
‘Those look like cuts?.... More like knife wounds…. Wait…
Tang San? He is the only dude I know in this town who uses knives with poison…’
“Well? What is it?” Xiao Wu asked me as she walked in as well.
“These look like someone used knives with paralysis poison to hurt them,” I explained to her. I decided to add what I think is going on.
“The very same poison I gave to your brother Tang San.”
“...Wait! You think that it was him?”
The girl looked shocked as if she had realised something.
“I do recall that he made some knives. But… to simply force these beasts to suffer like that.” The bunny girl looked disgusted. It appears we have more dirt on the Grass Dude…
“So, it's Datura Snake Poison. You have it on the farm. Can it remove poison?” the bunny girl asked with concern.
“Most likely.” With a hand motion, I summoned my nearly 9-metre-long purple snake. It was close to that ten thousand-year mark by this point.
“Remove the poison from the beasts,” I instructed the snake, who hissed with a nod before moving its tail on the beast.
The beast released its aura, which forced the toxins to leave their bodies.
“Great job!”
The bunny girl exclaimed with a happy voice. After healing the wolves, I send them all to my Farmstead alongside my snake.
Just like that, I have seven wolves! I can start breeding them!
~~~
“To think that Tang San can be this cruel!” Xiao Wu said with a bitter tone. She wasn’t calling him brother anymore.
It's funny how she would be okay with Tang San's machinations if she were with him.
I call this ‘wife’s syndrome’. This means that the moment the girl accepts her husband, she takes his side no matter what.
Even betray her race. That's exactly what Xiao Wu and Gu Yuena did.
And since she is now on the ‘other side’, the girl can see his actions without being blinded by his personality.
“Pretty sure he defended himself when those wolves tried to attack him.”
“I know! But still… using poison like this! And make them suffer!? He could have just killed them! Why make them suffer?” The bunny girl was angry!
‘Oof. I guess this is over for Tang San x Xiao Wu ship.’ Internally, I chuckled. To think how easily this whole thing was dismantled. Well, my intervention was an early one.
“I suppose. But it does not matter anymore. I have a whole pack of wolves now. I can reach my Titled Duoluo Rank without worries.” I shrugged before getting an amusing idea.
“That reminds me. Since you are a 100 thousand-year-old rabbit, how many descendants do you have?” I asked with a grin.
“W-What!?” She stopped in her tracks and looked at me.
“W-What are you saying!?” The girl with a stuttering voice looked embarrassed.
“Well, you are a rabbit. And rabbits breed rapidly.” I pointed it out.
“N-Not Spirit Beasts! Don’t lump me with regulars!” She stomped her feet with embarrassment!
“My mother only had me! And she was like me! A 100 thousand-year-old Soft Boned Rabbit!” She said with a huff as if offended that I had even said that.
“Well, if you say so~” I shrugged again as I continued to walk. The girl swiftly caught up to me.
“I am not lying!”
~~~
After getting the wolves, we went to collect some tree branches. To make it more interesting and diverse, I got branches from several different trees. They will work like saplings. Since I have my farmstead next to me the whole time, I can pull the branches out and then swiftly put them in the dirt inside my farm realm.
Before I even knew it, I had an entire section of small saplings already growing.
Another thing I realised is that the more I add, the bigger the farm territory becomes.
It made me think… Will I be able to have dedicated biomes? Like fire biome, water biome, ice biome and so on…
To do that, I would need materials… Like a bigger pond and more water, and add fish as well.
While I did have quite a bit of ideas, it didn’t change the facts that I will work my butt to make any of those happen.
“It's enough. We should return to the city. It's getting dark.” I said to Xiao Wu, who was thinking of getting more branches.
“Okay!” She nodded before looking serious. “Should I confront Tang San for what he did?” She asked all of a sudden.
“Hmm? What for? It's not that he is important.” I said with a sigh.
“If you say so.” The bunny girl didn’t look convinced.
“Just look at our progress in cultivation and his.” I clarified to her.
“He doesn’t have my abilities, so his growth is slow. It will take him ages to reach Titled Duoluo. That is, if he even reaches it.
So, there is no point in you worrying about what he does.” I explained what I meant.
“Oh, I see, so he is like a fly…” The girl had the look of realisation. To which I looked surprised. To think that she would come to such a conclusion.
“I guess? What I mean is that you should ignore his actions. Unless it becomes unbearable.”
“Okay! But considering how quickly I cultivate, I will graduate soon!” She pumped her fist as the girl was ready to leave the academy as soon as possible.
“I guess. Do that. After that, we can explore the continent.” I suggested with a shrug. The only reason that I need to travel is that I want to diversify my farm and add some unique plants and animals.
