The Games We Play -Shaman c51
Added 2024-08-08 19:05:11 +0000 UTCRias looked at Grayfia. The silver-haired maid looked tame. Her hair was loose, unlike her usual braided style. Also, she had no courage to look at Rias or Sona.
Such behaviour tells the pair that Lucifer’s maid has been caught doing something naughty.
Well, not naughty, but dangerous. Dangerous for the whole Devil species.
“Grayfia. I thought you died!” Rias was the first to start the conversation, as she wanted to know the details!
“...That Grayfia is dead, and what you see is my Grayfia,” Raynor replied instead of the Lucifuge.
“I see.” Rias nodded at his words, but her eyes were on Grayfia either way.
“Yes. Well, Skadi suggested that I employ you as my headmaid. It's a perfect suggestion. Apart from that, you will also serve me, Grayfia.” Raynor explained to her with a small smile, which made Grayfia twitch just from hearing his voice.
This was what she had feared, especially in front of Rias…
“I-I Understand.” The devil maid bowed before looking at the gathered girls.
“I assume I shall train these girls to be maids of your household?” The Lucifuge asked him.
“Yes. Do so. You may also utilise your Devil magic to improve the castle. It lacks some of the modern infrastructure we are used to.” Raynor thought building a bathroom and installing water pipes and a sewage system was a good idea. Since Grayfia is an Ultimate Class devil, she has enough demonic energy for such things.
“As you wish.”
After getting the instructions, the ladies walked away. Sona was the tour guide this time, while Raynor was left alone to continue working on his lodge house.
~~~
The house was getting along quite nicely with the roof and the window frames being placed next.
The Shaman quickly noticed the increase in the effectiveness of his construction speed.
Carpeting work was done effortlessly as his arm strength easily worked with wood.
In just three days, he finished the roof, window frames, and doors as he started to work on furniture.
But one thing which is bugging him is the lack of windows.
“My Lord, what can I do for you?” Castellan of Dragonstone spoke as he was called by the King of Wolves and the Lord of Dragonstone.
“Myr is the one who makes glass, is it not?” Raynor asked while stroking his chin. He was thinking about what to do. He has no idea how to make glass.
From what he can recall, it's something related to mixing sand with much heat.
He could return to Earth and check glass production online, but he is not taking an easy route in something he has spent so long working on.
It's like building a PC, and at the very last second, he bought a cheaper part to make the finish easy.
Or he collects cards and buys one cheaper card to finish his collection instead of finding the proper card.
It's… doesn't stroke his pride. He started with materials he found in Planetos. He might as well finish with stuff found in this place.
“Yes. My Lord Myr is the only place where you can acquire glass.”
“I see, then send a word to Myr. I wish to hire some of their experts to help me make glass.”
“...My Lord, I am afraid it won’t be possible. Myr doesn’t spread their craftsmanship; they will never allow their fortune to leave the city walls.” Castellan said with a nervous look.
“Oh? That is fine. Send a letter first, and if they decline it, then it will be a completely different game we will be playing.”
‘I need to get my hands on forgers, starting with glass, finishing with Steel.’
“I understand. I shall write the letter in the utmost haste.”
“Yes, and I don’t mind if you use all my titles and achievements to get what I want.”
“As you wish.”
After finishing giving instructions, Castellan left, and a few seconds later, Sona walked in.
She was listening to the whole conversation beforehand.
“I thought that we would expand in Westeros first.” She asked curiously, recalling that they thought about expanding to the mainland and building a city next to the Trident.
“We will, but I want Glass to regain some lost souls and get more manpower here. Mir has everything in one place.”
“You are going to wage war on a city-state?”
“Eventually, yes. But it will take time.”
Raynor recalled that he needed to get Targaryen old vassals like Velaryon and Celtigar.
“Hmm, since you did this before, I don’t need to worry.”
Before Sona left, Raynor replied to her words.
“You should worry, for them, that is.”
Since he can’t finish the lodge, he can work on other things, like the kennels and totem for the wolves.
“Normally, I would worry. This is a war we are talking about, but this is not our old world, and it's not black and white. This whole world is a big chunk of grey.” Sona said with a sigh as she looked towards the dragon-based ornaments.
“Might as well wage a swift and devastating war.” She suggested before leaving the throne room.
“Spoken like a devil.” Raynor was somewhat impressed to hear her say that.
~~~
After ordering a message to be sent to Mir, Raynor sent a word to his ‘vassals’, the Celtigar and Velaryon houses. After he took Dragonstone from House Baratheon, they could declare independence if they wanted, but he knew that smaller houses like these had no chance of surviving.
Well, at least this is what he is thinking. He has no idea about the current generation of these two houses.
So, with things set in motion, he left the castle and went to his workplace.
His eyes went to his pets. He looked at the wolves for a second. He walked over and motioned for Deimos to walk over.
The Shaman proceeded to play with his bloodthirsty wolf, who loves to tear his enemies apart.
However, that part of the wolf is not around at the moment; instead, the big boy is like a dog playing with its owner.
The reason he did this was to figure out the wolf’s exact size.
After all, he is about to make a new totem.
However, his playing with Deimos had an effect.
When Raynor lifted his head, he saw thirty-plus wolves looking jealous at what Deimos was getting.
‘Ah, for fuck sake…’
“Hahaha, that’s what you get! You should bond with your pets properly, seeing that you showing affection to one other puppies wants the same.”
The Leviathan laughed loudly, seeing what had just happened to Raynor.
“Yeah…”
After spending time with his wolves, the Shaman returned to his work.
He proceeded to explore the island for a tree he could use for the Kennel Totem.
Around an hour after exploring, he found a tree that he had a good feeling about.
“This will do.” He summoned an axe and proceeded to swing.
Two swings later, the tree collapsed, and he proceeded to remove the branches.
Once cleaned up, he pulled the tree into his inventory and brought it back close to his lodge.
With the main material acquired, I proceeded to cut.
First, he cut it in half and then used one of the portions for the kennel totem, and the other half was used for the kennel itself.
‘I do need to think of a way to use only this tree as building material; otherwise, I will need to look for a tree that has a synchronisation effect with this tree.’
For a couple of minutes, he pondered, but then he stopped.
Wolves often stay around caves, so why not make a pseudo-cave for them?
With a swift solution, he returned to his work.
He decided to carve a wolf statue which would look similar to Deimos.
As well as his signature symbols. Some of the symbols will be carved with his Godsgrief to add Godslaying effects, as well as other effects, and he has enough souls to kickstart those effects.
…
…
…
“You should take a break.” Skadi walked over to his side.
“Hmm, sure, since you came to pick me up.”
Raynor got up from the wooden stump and stretched himself.
“Yes, well, it's getting late, and I heard you summoned human lords from other islands.” She commented with crossed arms.
“I can assume you are plotting something.”
He nodded and then looked at his lodge.
“I need glass. So I will conquer a city which makes glass.” The Shaman explained to her.
“Wouldn't it be better if you just exchange something for it? It feels like a bigger hassle.”
“Depends. I do want a foothold in Essos, and I need to replenish my soul after our fight.” He smiled after mentioning their fight.
“I suppose. Then it's a war. It will give me a better grasp of how this world works.” Skadi didn’t mind. Conflicts are natural for a Jotun Goddess like her.
And Raynor, he just wants a fight. It has been a boring week for him. All he did was work and fuck.
The pair continued to speak and flirt while they were walking back to the Castle.
Upon arrival, they were greeted by a small line-up of girls dressed as maids.
“Nice. Simply gorgeous.” The Shaman exclaimed with a happy tone. Seeing maids, his maids like this is something else for the King of Wolves!
In a sense, this is a status symbol! Of course, it is. Seeing gorgeous girls like these dressed up in such fashion and ready to serve excites him.
“We worked together to make this happen, Ray.” Rias walked over and proudly puffed her impressive chest.
“Yes, well, since we had no materials to work with, we created it with demonic energy.” Sona walked over with crossed arms. Her voice was proud as well.
“Wonderfully done, girls.” Raynor nodded with a happy tone as he looked at Grayfia, who was standing there as well. She had a poker face.
‘Is she trying to blend in?’ The King of Wolves chuckled to himself as he was amused with her behaviour.
“We started with the installation of a water system in the castle.” Sona changed the theme of the conversation, making Raynor look at her.
“However, this castle is simply enormous. The material they used to build is strange, and demonic energy seems to struggle against it.
“That does make sense. Considering its blood magic mixed with dragon fire.”
“Yes. But with Grayfia’s help, we made some progress.” Rias chipped in as they looked at the silver-haired maid.
Raynor can sense how Grayfia is annoyed that they got attention back on her.
Honestly, her trying to go incognito is simply hilarious.
“Well, we can get an expert in water.” The Shaman raised his right-hand finger as he got an idea.
“...Expert?”
“I might be Goddess of Snow, but all I can do is make piles of snow which can melt into water,” Skadi said from the side.
“Yes. Well, your expertise lies in snow and ice, but I have another Sitri.” Raynor reminded them about the current Leviathan.
“...Big sister? Do You think Serafall is good with this?” Sona asked with a confused frown. She had never heard that her sister was good with plumbing!
At that moment, Raynor simply summoned Serafall, who popped into existence in front of everyone.
She had a pen in her hand and was dressed in a blue dress and high heels. Satan looked like a proper high-class lady…
“...Raynor…”
Serafall realised what was going on. The first thing she did was sigh in resignation.
Her eyes scanned the surroundings, ending up on Grayfia. But the Lucifuge maid pretended that she saw nothing and there was nothing interesting going on.
“...So it was all a ruse? Do you know how big of a scandal your disappearance will cause!?” The current Leviathan was about to unleash her pent-up frustration on Grayfia, but at that moment, she reappeared in front of Raynor and felt a powerful smack into her ass.
**SMACK**
“Owww!?” The Ex-Sitri exclaimed in pain as she felt her ass start burning from pain.
“No one cares about politics, Sera,” Raynor said as he squeezed her ass before removing his hand from her rear.
“I have a mission for you.”
The Shaman brought her attention as she turned around and looked at him.
She saw that Rias, Sona, and a…freaking Goddess were with him…
“...What is it you want?” Serafall realised that she would get things done if she cooperated with him.
“You are a master plumber, so I need you to help set up! Actual working water pipes in the castle.”
“...You have to be kidding me!” The twin tails devil was in complete disbelief.
But that grin on his face tells her that he is serious!
“But— I have work to do! Sirzechs has completely abandoned any and all external affairs and instead focused on his job!”
“...Isn’t how it supposed to be?” Raynor looked perplexed; he had always thought that Sirzechs was the lazier of that pair.
“It is, but thanks to you, I am overloaded with work!” She puffed her cheeks while crossing her arms under her impressive burst.
“How about this? I will hire a team of construction devils, and they will retrofit the entire castle over a single night?” Serafall tried to bargain with Raynor.
“Nope, Sona and Rias will help you. It will be enough. Besides, you already should have a team of capable subordinates. I recall that I told you to start looking for a replacement as you will be serving me 24/7.”
The Shaman’s reminder made Serafall grimace. To hell with this mess-up! It's going to haunt her for the rest of her life!
“UGH!!! FINE!”
**SMACK**
Once again, Serafall ended up being smacked on her rear. This time around, the entire castle heard that smack.
“OWWWW!!!!~~~~”
The current Leviathan moaned and groaned from pain at the same time.
“Good’ now go to work.”
After smacking her, he proceeded to walk towards his quarters. He left her with Sona and Rias.
“I will stay with them and assist,” Skadi said as she looked at Serafall. It was just an excuse to allow her to speak with the ‘naughty’ Leviathan.
“Do as you want.” Raynor shrugged as he passed the lined-up Maids, and his hand sneaked around Grayfia’s waist.
“The maids will keep me company.”
“...”
Grayfia trembled as she felt his hand on her. Her cheeks started to get rosy, and memories of that time started to rise to the front of her consciousness.
‘Damn it all!’
The silver-haired maid gnashed her teeth as she tried to forget that moment! But her body is being honest with her.
Regardless of what she thinks, she went with him…
~~~~~~Later~~~~~~
“My Lord, I have Lord Velaryon and Lord Celtigar with me.” Castellan entered the Throne Room after knocking on the double door.
“Wonderful.” Raynor nodded as he looked at the two lords with crossed arms, leaning into his seat.
The pair of Lords looked at the small army of wolves surrounding the Throne Room. Seeing so many canine predators made the pair internally shiver from fear.
Something the wolves can pick up with their noses. After all, when someone is afraid, a person’s body releases a specific pheromone which predators can pick up.
“L-Lord Velaron. We have answered your summons.” The first one to speak was a silver-haired man with blue eyes. This guy was a Velaryon, while the other one had Westerosi looks.
“Yes, I can see. The question is, do your houses pledge themselves to me, or do you two think that it will be better to go alone?
It won’t be long until my… children wil have dragons, wolves and other animals under their control.” It was strange to say the word ‘children’, but he used the ‘Westerosi language’. And children mean stability.
“I have heard that you have saved Daenerys Targaryen. Is it true?” Lord Velaryon asked him.
“Indeed, bring Dany.” Raynor motioned to his Castellan.
“At once, my Lord.” The man motioned to the guards, who proceeded to fetch the girl.
“I had saved her before she was married off to some horde horse fuck lord. I used his life to bring back my dragon. So he had some use before he died.” The Shaman casually told how he used a barbarian as a life sacrifice for a blood ritual…
“I-I see. I have heard rumours about this.” Lord Celtigar said with a nervous look. This King of Wolves is… dangerous, just as rumours were around him.
“Indeed, and Viserys was very gleeful in selling his sister. It's amusing, considering he thought that he could get 100 thousand barbarians under his control. He completely forgot that they follow different customs.”
“It’s disgusting.” Lord Velaryon looked disgusted before expanding on it.
“You have my loyalty, Lord Velaron. My house follows the dragonlords. You may not be Targaryen, but you were able to bring Dragons back, and that is enough for me.”
After saying that, the doors opened, and Daenerys, dressed as a maid, walked in.
“My Lord, you wished to see me?” She looked confused for a second.
“Lord Velaryon wanted to see you.”
“...Princess! You are alive! I was the one who helped you and your brother to escape—.”
As one could see, there was a whole ‘catching up’ thing going on.
But the Dragon Princess looked nervous and somewhat uncomfortable with the amount of excitement she was getting.
However, the time to swear fealty arrived, and Daenerys basically told the pair of lords to drop on their knees and beg that Raynor take them as his vassals.
“My Lord! I—”
The pair proceeded to swear, and just like that, Raynor got his first naval and manpower vassals.
House Velaryon have ships, and Celtigar have soldiers. However, their numbers are quite low.
Velaryons only have 13 Galleys, and Celtigar can only employ around 1300 soldiers.
But this was fine. The Shaman has money, and he can order ships, while Celtigars can recruit more men. Gold is the best incentive.
You should soon tame and make clear the elusive Sona Sitri as she is missing out on the carnal experience she should be fulfilling as a descendant of the demon Sitri.
