Tuna's Redemption Part 6

Raynor could feel Kiana’s gaze. She kept staring at him throughout the classes. It was both refreshing and concerning.

He kept on thinking about what was with that over-the-top commitment.

The teen can understand that after actually dating and spending a couple of years together.

But this was different. They just flipped one day and started to act differently.

As he was pondering this, the long break started, and he could hear murmurs from students. He looked towards the source and saw Mei was waiting for him.

He proceeded to get up and walked towards her.

“Got your lunch box.” She showed him a wrapped-up box.

“Nice. Let’s go to the roof?” He offered her as he took the offered box.

“Yes, that place is the best for that.” The girl nodded as she offered her hand with a small blush.

Raynor smiled and took it.

When students saw that, they started to whisper. It appears they realised that Mei was dating him!

Kiana, who was still sitting in her chair, looked around. Look who is talking trash. She is making her mental hit list.

She will make sure these people get into ‘incidents’ like getting water sprayed on them or something.

‘I thought you ‘grew up’. Here you are, being all petty.’ Her Herrscher persona wanted to mess with her again…

‘I might take things more seriously, but there is no excuse for them to talk trash about Mei-senpai!’ The white-haired girl huffed.

‘Hah… I am pretty sure your ‘boyfriend’ will do his job. Instead, you should focus on making sure HE doesn’t awaken.’ 

Kiana slightly nodded her head. It appears the Void Queen is more terrified of Herrscher of Stars than she initially thought. But he is years away. There should be no way for him to awaken now…

‘Yes, I know. But our situation is different. Mei already has her Herrscher persona, and you and I remember the future. This is not normal!’

‘Sheesh, relax. It’s not like he will awaken randomly. There are signs for that!’ The girl rolled her eyes. She never expected her to be such a coward.

“This is good!” Raynor was stuffing himself with prepared food, and Mei smiled, seeing him like her cooking.

Her gaze slowly went from him and towards her food, but then her eyes ended up catching a glimpse of something on another building.

‘Is that… Fu Hua?’ 

The Thunder Queen’s eyes widened as she completely forgot about Herrscher of Sentience!

‘If she gets close, then it will be game over!’

That Herrscher can awaken anything dormant! And if Mei’s theory is right, Herrscher of Stars could be potentially sleeping inside of Raynor.

Her reason is that they could be either in some bubble universe or specifically altered past. Either way, the normal rules should not apply.

There won’t be Herrscher after a Herrscher, considering she and Kiana have their Herrscher personas, which don’t care about ‘taking over’ and have much more self-awareness. 

She is certain that Fu Hua has Herrscher of Sentience power. 

“Are you okay?” Raynor placed his hand on Mei’s forehead.

“Ugh!? Y-Yes, I am fine. Just thinking what I should cook next.” Mei smiled sweetly. 

“Don’t overthink. There is no need for that.” He removed his hand and returned to his food.

“...True.”

‘He is right. The moment she gets close, we can push her back.’

The Thunder Queen said to the girl. 

‘We should tell this to Kiana to make sure she is ready.’

~~~~~~Later, Same Day~~~~~~

Eventually, the classes ended, and Kiana ‘glided’ to Raynor’s side.

“Let’s go! This time, I will be the one who will pay for the expenses!” She grabbed his hand and proceeded to pull him towards the doors.

“Alright.”

‘Damn, she is strong…’

Raynor realised that she could effortlessly pull him. What kind of training does she!?

As they left the classroom, the white-haired girl looked around as they walked towards the mall.

“You do realise no one is going to take me away? Or more like I won’t be running away.” He slightly joked as he saw how she was looking around. As she is looking for some sort of threats…

“True~ you could have easily declined my offer~” Kiana smiled as she focused on him instead. She took his hand and pressed her breasts into his hand.

She could only grin when she saw his reaction. Mei may have her talent for cooking, but Kiana knows that she is still the one he is attracted to the most!

That is why she will abuse it as much as she can!

As they walked to the mall, on the school grounds, there was something else that was going on…

“Mei…” a blue-haired girl called the Thunder Queen in front of her.

This was Fu Hua. A martial artist from a long past era… she has seen first-hand how merciless Honkai and Herrschers can be. After all, she witnesses the destruction of her civilisation.

“Fu Hua. What are you doing here?” Mei asked with a serious tone.

“Don’t cover for him. He needs to be put down. You are just like me, are you not? You came from the future and saw what he did.

You experienced what he did.” Fu Hua removed her glasses and took a martial arts stance.

“That is why we need him for the future threats. He is the strongest of them all.” In Mei’s hand, a purple katana appeared, and she took her stance.

“It's a gamble I can’t let happen, and you will not stop me.” The martial artist rushed towards Mei, who did the same. The pair proceeded to fight.

Fu Hua swiftly realised that Mei could tap into her power.

‘Stop playing around and do the same! Damn it!’

An annoyed, bratty voice said in Fu Hua’s head.

With Mei’s speed, Fu Hua was in defence, but then black feathers started to fall, and the martial artist's eyes turned red.

“...I knew it.”

The Thunder Queen looked around. She can sense that Fu Hua has Herrscher powers. It appears that Herrscher of Sentiance and Fu Hua are one and the same this time around.

A bunch of weapons dropped from the sky, and it looked like there were two of them.

‘Don’t mind the other one. This is all a mental trick. Leave those to me.’

At that moment, one of Mei’s pupils turned red with a purple undertone.

She is tapping deeper into her Herrscher powers.

With a blast of red lightning, they proceeded to fight, but the fighting was starting to get quite destructive.

‘We can’t continue to fight here!’

‘Then you need to finish the transformation if you want to overwhelm her. That fossil is similar to you. Resisting her powers.’ Thunder Queen commented as Mei grimaced before two horns emerged from her forehead.

‘Fine!’

With far more explosive force, Mei grabbed Fu Hua and then yanked her from the school and the city altogether.

As Lawmaker of Thunder, her speed and the distance she can cross in a ‘single’ jump is enormous, as with a powerful swing, Mei threw Fu Hua into a mountainous forest.

With several flips and spins, the Martial Artist ended up on the ground in a very ruffled state. Her eyes went up as she saw something bad.

‘Well, that is not good.’

‘You don’t say! You damn geezer! Tap properly into my power! Otherwise, she will cook us!’ Herrscher of Sentiance complained in her mind.

The pair of them looked at how Mei transformed into her Herrscher of Thunder form. Her clothes turned black, pieces of red samurai armour appeared through her body, her hair got longer and darker, and lastly, two red floating arms appeared on her side. One of them had a long Katana.

The Thunder Queen has returned!

‘She has fully transitioned!’ 

‘I can see that! Damn it all! Do something!’

“Here I come, defend yourself!” Mei said in a cold voice as lightning crackled, and she was gone. The next second, she appeared in front of Fu Hua.

‘Fast!’

The martial artist summoned a sword to block the strike, but it sent her several steps back.

“You should embrace your power; otherwise, I will kill you, Fu Hua,” Mei said while taking her stance and then dashing forward.

Red streaks of lightning accompanied her as it looked like she was at several places at once while delivering her strikes.

‘Damn it! Stop holding back, you geezer. She will cut you in half!’

After overwhelming her defence, Mei delivered a powerful kick, sending the blue-haired girl flying into a tree.

After coughing a couple of times, the Martial artist left the tree and looked serious.

“Fine… if this is what you want, Mei.”

Fu Hua’s eyes turned red, and her hair turned greyish white, and it got much longer.

‘Now you did it. I doubt we have enough power to face this…’ Herrscher persona said to Mei as they saw a red aura swirl around Fu Hua.

‘Maybe so, but I do feel bad for fighting her without power.’

‘Ha, so honour? That honour will beat us up!’

Mei had no chance to comment back as red chains rushed at her, but the girl turned into lightning and disappeared. Reappearing distance away before proceeding to fight her. 

Purple katana collided with gloved fists as the pair proceeded to exchange hits rapidly.

“I can sense that you seriously want to protect him. To the point that you are pushing your Herrscher powers to the limit.”

Fu Hua was surprised that Mei was trying this hard!

“You do know what I know! So just leave!” The Thunder Queen sent her flying away.

One of the floating hands raised its up and created a red orb.

“Come to me, Kurikara!”

The sky turned cloudy as the orb summoned a thunderstorm, which revealed a red dragon that had descended from the sky.

‘She can do that!?’

Herrscher of Sentience exclaimed inside Fu Hua’s mind as the dragon’s tail slammed into the greyish-white-haired Herrscher, sending her flying…again.

‘Damn it! How useless you can be with my powers!’

‘You realise that is the first time I've ever used them?’ Fu Hua replied as she pushed a tree away from her, but then she saw that Dragon and Mei were preparing to finish her off! As in, for real!

She can feel intent to kill behind her!

‘I don’t want to die! So retreat!’

With an annoyed look, Fu Hua created chains which interrupted their attacks before jumping away.

The chains which held Mei and Kurikara swiftly shattered as the Thunder Queen looked at where Fu Hua ran away.

“...For now, we are in the clear,” Mei mumbled to herself as she recalled her dragon and then jumped back into the city.

The girl hoped that this fight didn’t trigger anything inside Raynor!

“Whoa… is that red lightning? Never seen one before.” Raynor looked at the city’s outskirts, where he saw thunderclouds.

Kiana looked there as well, her eyes furrowed as she saw an object descend from the sky. 

But then she realised that she needed to keep on distracting Raynor!

So she grabbed his hand and pulled him to face her.

“You know~ you should be paying attention to your girl!” She puffed her cheeks while saying that.

But then she got a brilliant idea!

The girl leaned forward and got on her toes before kissing him on the lips.

His reaction was immediate focus on her.

“Tehehe~ it worked, didn’t it?” The white-haired girl teased him as he looked at her.

“...Yeah…”

But then his hands wrapped around her waist as he proceeded to pick her up.

Kiana’s now started to panic as she realised that she might overdid it.

“H-Hold it! We can’t do anything naughty! It's only our first date!” She said with a deep blush.

“Is it? Do I need to remind you about the other times?”  He brought his face closer while saying that.

That moment, Kiana had a flashback, how many times she was at his place to freeload on food, and other times when he took her to restaurants and… yeah, she got the picture!

“Tehehehe~~~”

**Gulp**

A nervous gulp escaped from her lips…
