Chapter 32

“W-What the hell is that! It’s coming our way!” A pilot of a patrol GINN said to his partner as they noticed something extremely fast moving towards them.

“Mobile suit?”

Before they could comment, their heads were cut, disabling the main monitors.

Kira passed them as he was testing out the specs and the high-mobility system HIMAT. 

[Sir, the machine has some interesting systems.]

“We can play with them once we are back in Orb. For now, let’s end this war Lacus want so much.” Kira said to his AI as he rapidly rushed towards where Genesis should be.

“S-Sir! It’s an emergency!” An officer rushed into Patrick Zala’s office.

“What is it?”

“It's F-Freedom! Kira Yamato took Freedom!” 

**SLAM**

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE TOOK!? What is this!? An ice cream shop!? How can someone just enter R&D and take a secret project like that!?” Patrick started to rant as the officer began to feel that he was in the wrong place.

“How it happened!”

“Its…Lacus Clyne.” 

“...What?” He calmed somewhat as he was confused about how this connected.

“We have video.” The officer walked over and showed footage on a laptop.

What they saw was a brown-haired teen standing close to Lacus. They talked until they kissed, and Lacus moved away while Kira boarded the mobile suit.

“...Traitors! All of them! Arrest the girl! Siegel too! All of them! If they resist, you can kill them.” 

“R-Right, as you command!” 

The man swiftly rushed away. The moment he was gone, Patrick turned pale and started to panic. Their state-of-the-art mobile suit had just been stolen—by that freak, no less! This was a catastrophe!

Minutes later, he got another call.

“S-Sir, an unknown mobile suit is rushing towards Genesis construction site!!!”

“Shoot it! Shoot it down! That Kira Yamato! Destroy him! Now!!!” Patrick started to scream at the phone.

“R-Right!”

“Send everyone! The entire defence line, if need be! All of them!”

“Y-Yes!”

When the call ended, Patrick Zala brushed all the stuff from the table to the floor and started throwing a huge fit!

Forget the Earth Alliance. Forget Blue Cosmos. This brat is the biggest threat to his world, free of Naturals!

After calming down, he swiftly called one of his top commanders.

“Rau, take Providence and hunt that freak Kira Yamato for me. He stole the Freedom and is flying towards Genesis construction site!” 

“Yes, sir.”

Once the call had ended, the Supreme Chairman ended up sitting in his chair and thinking about how to quickly get rid of this nuisance!

Freedom was rushing towards an asteroid field that had been used to mine, but behind it were arrays of Nazca-class destroyers.

“Oh, my first test dummies. Let’s see how good of a buster you are, Freedom!” As Kira said, he rushed right to the warships.

Sure enough, the five Nazca-class opened fire and started to launch GINN and the GINN successors, GuAIZ. 

Kira swiftly checked the database on these mobile suits.

[ZGMF-600 GuAIZ]

“The successor to GINN and developed from GAT, just cute.” 

The mobile suits opened fire on Freedom. This time around, the weapons are no longer physical but beam-based, so even the remaining GINNs use beam rifles, which shoot green beams.

Sadly for them, with the HIMAT system, Freedom is simply too fast for them to shoot him.

With Kira's borderline auto aim, he easily blasted his way through the first wave of GINN and GuAIZ, but there was a second wave, and they tried to surround him. Still, the pilot of Freedom simply threw the anti-beam shield at the first machine and holstered the beam rifle before pulling out the beam saber and showing them how to fight at close range.

Slicing through mobile suit heads and taking legs and arms.

Once they were dealt with, he rapidly flew over to the warships and started to take out their weapons and engines before blasting through the security and towards where Genesis should be.

~~~~~~Meanwhile, in Aprilius One~~~~~~

“...What is going on? I thought there would be more security.” Clyne faction soldiers looked confused as they found minimal security in the R&D block where the Eternal, the ship meant to carry Freedom and Justice, is located.

“Yeah…”

As people boarded the pink-coloured warship, half of the crew were forced to leave as they were not part of the rebellion. As the half of the crew was leaving, Lacus and her faction were boarding the ship.

“Commander Waltfield, it’s good to see you back in action,” Lacus exclaimed in a happy tone, seeing the familiar commander in the captain’s seat.

“Yes, well. It appears people are not allowing me to retire early, " the Desert Tiger commented as he looked at Siegel Clyne enter the bridge as well.

“It appears we are all accounted for.”

“Yes, well, Kira Yamato is making quite a distraction. Patrick is sending everyone, and I mean everyone, who can pilot a mobile suit to stop Freedom.” Siegel commented as he got into his seat.

“Not a surprise there. He is one hell of a pilot,” Andrew Waltfield commented as he motioned for the ship to launch. The AI overwritten the gates, and the warship left without any hassle.

Soon enough, it proceeded to accelerate forward.

[Sir, Miss Lacus has left Aprilius One with a prototype warship.]

Legion notified Kira, who was dismantling another Nazca class destroyer.

Before he could comment, his instincts flared as he dodged several green beams from different angles.

He looked around and saw a bulky Gundam rushing towards him.

“Ha! Finally! A worthy challenge for my Freedom!” Kira exclaimed happily as he started to feel bored blowing the same garbage for over half an hour!

“If you are piloting a Gundam, you should be a decent pilot! Show me what you can do!” The Ultimate Coordinator proceeded to open fire at the bulky Gundam, which had Dragoons.

Sure enough, he was contacted by the machine pilot.

“Kira Yamato! We finally met! You have been a thorn in my side.” 

The Ultimate coordinator saw the masked man dressed in a white pilot suit.

“Duh, that's what war is. I am supposed to interfere in your plans.” 

Kira tried to shoot him again, but the bulky Gundam dodged and tried to shoot with his dragoons.

“True, but there is more to that. Do you know your origins? Mister Ultimate Coordinator?” 

“Hah, is that supposed to shock me or something? Because I know I was designed to be the best.” 

Kira closed his eyes for a second and then opened them again. In his consciousness, a purple lotus flower shattered, and his Seed mode was activated.

At that moment, he proceeded to shoot the dragoons.

With his beam rifle, then the mounted CIWS, and the hip railguns, and lastly, he threw one of the beam sabers.

Like that, five dragoons were destroyed, and the masked man grimaced for a second.

He pointed his heavy beam rifle and tried to shoot, but Kira threw his other beam saber and destroyed the beam rifle before rushing forward and smashing his knee into the bulky Gundam’s face.

That impact disturbed the main camera as Kira used the HIMAT system to rapidly flip before grabbing the floating beam saber and ramming it into the cockpit of the bulky mobile suit.

“Damn… you…cough...” The masked man coughed some blood as he was pierced by a beam saber.

Kira swiftly pulled back as the machine inflated before blowing up into a big… atomic explosion…

“...Damn…” The Ultimate Coordinator exclaimed in a sad tone.

“What a waste of an amazing machine. If only he could have been more reasonable and handed it to me, I wouldn’t mind.”

The brown-haired teen could only dream of such a perfect outcome.

[Sir, not to break your daydreams, but another 37 warships are moving towards your location.]

When Kira heard that, he sighed. He was feeling tired, and he had only taken out 15 warships and about 50 mobile suits.

While Freedom can handle the energy, he, on the other hand, can’t fight forever.

“Well, we did give enough time for Lacus to escape, so we should retreat.”

After saying that, he blasted away from the Genesis site and flew towards the Moon.

The GINNs and GuAIZ tried to keep up but swiftly lost sight of him.

“I didn’t even need to check. It’s quite obvious a pink warship for a pink princess.” 

Kira popped on the screen on Eternal as he saw quite a lineup.

“Oh, Commander Waltfeld. I suppose this time around, we will be fighting on the same side.” The brown-haired teen exclaimed with quite a happy tone to see this man at the helm.

“The same could be said of you. I was surprised to hear that you are the one who is piloting Freedom.” The Desert Tiger sighed. It's quite a dreadful combination.

“Well, Lacus asked for it, so here I am.” Kira shrugged as he made Freedom do a couple of spins. 

“It is good to have you on board.” 

Andrew Waltfeld is much happier having him on board. This kid is a beast.

To have got the attention of the ENTIRE ZAFT military and made them focus solely on him is absurd. It just shows how terrified Patrick Zala is of him.

“Not just me. Archangel is on standby and ready to assist your rebellion.” Kira said that while looking at the commander and the pair of Clynes, who looked surprised.

“Isn’t Orb neutral in all of this?”

“Yes, Orb is neutral when it comes to conflicts between nations. But this is no longer that. Genesis is a superweapon that can incinerate Earth’s atmosphere or burst it like a bubble.

That means it’s a threat to the world, and for Orb’s survival, they are joining the fight.” 

As Kira said, he entered the coordinates and sent them to Eternal.

“Fly there.” 

“I got the coordinates, " the comms officer told the commander. The Desert Tiger looked at the Clynes.

Lacus looked at her father.

“Set the course for that location.” Siegel agreed as well. He had no choice, so he used all of his resources to make sure they escaped and obtained cutting-edge tech along the way.

“Oh, and can I dock? I am a little bit tired. Taking out nearly 30% of all active duty members took a toll on me.”

“Sure! Let him in!” Lacus swiftly agreed as she rushed out of the bridge towards the hangar bay.

“Ah, so young and in love,” Commander smirked while saying that.

“... it's quite concerning. Lacus used to be more composed, but with him around her, she is more proactive.” Siegel is trying to understand how they are rubbing on each other.

But this was a good thing. With Lacus tempering him, the teen wouldn’t go on a complete killing spree.

“Ha! Young love! You realise he saved her and ensured she was saved inside an Earth Alliance vessel! The very same vessel which never even consider to use her as hostage even against absurd odds they were against.” Andrew reminded Siegel that the Desert Wolf had no idea if Lacus had ever told him about what she had gone through inside Archangel.

“Yes, I heard some of it. But, it appears my daughter downplayed many things.”

“If I knew, I could have tried a different approach, but I only learned that she was aboard that after I was taken prisoner.”

“It’s fine. That is something you could have had no idea of.” Siegel shook his head.

“Regardless, we all should be thankful to him. If not for his AI, I would be dead, " the older Clyne said with a sigh. If not for Legion and its monitoring and intelligence-gathering capabilities, he would be dead. Patrick Zala had the secret services on him, and they were ready to kill.

“...I suppose, well, I do want to thank Earth Alliance for betraying him. It's the stupidest thing they could have done.” The Desert Tiger laughed while saying that.
