Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded c34
Added 2024-09-19 17:30:15 +0000 UTC“H-Hold it, kid! It was a joke!” Mu La Flaga sensed danger, so he started to run away from the ZAFT uniform-clad Kira, as the Ultimate Coordinator was screaming ‘murder’.
As the pair started to run around, the leaders of the two nations looked at each other confusedly.
‘What is going on here? Are these two truly the ace pilots?’
Kira composed himself after a couple of minutes and returned to the group. The whole time, Lacus nervously laughed. It was embarrassing for her.
“Mr. Clyne—”
“You can call me Father-in-law—”
“Father-in-law, can I ask the mechanics in Eternal to work for me as we prepare for the last couple of conflicts? I need to improve my freedom before we engage in battle.” Kira seriously asked the blonde man. He didn’t hold back by calling him ‘father-in-law’.
“Improve? Freedom is a state-of-the-art machine!” Siegel was in disbelief when he heard the request.
“Not quite. My Strike has better power output.”
“...”
“But…”
“I have developed a range of technologies myself. Some of them can migrate to Freedom. The more damage I can dish out, the less chance other soldiers have to get overwhelmed.
Considering we will be engaging one of the major superpowers.” Kira commented.
“Very well. I will leave mobile suit expertise in your hands.” After agreeing, he turned towards his followers and instructed them to bring the mechanics and engineers into the station.
Kira smirked, seeing that. He finally got a bunch of Coordinators to help him!
“Is it just me, or did the kid have a wicked smile?” Mu La Flaga returned to Orb's side and asked Captain Ramius.
“No doubt he is happy to have a bunch of Coordinators working for him.”
“Yeah… they can work longer hours…” The Buster’s pilot nervously smiled as he realised what this meant.
~~~
The mechanics of Archangel and Eternal looked confused as they followed Kira into the space station. One of the big robotic cranes was moving Strike and Freedom into the workshop aboard the Ame-No-Mihashira.
“These facilities are equipped for mobile suit development and construction. They have everything we need to improve my machines.”
“Kid, isn’t this one a brand new machine?” The head Mechanic commented.
“Yes, but it doesn’t have an improved motherboard and processing power, or my 360-degree panoramic view, or my Mirage Colloid thrusters, " he explained with a shrug.
“I will ‘fuse’ Freedom and Strike to make Strike Freedom.”
The mechanics looked shocked at first before becoming terrified.
‘What an unholy combination!’
Strike’s legend has terrified the people of ZAFT. Now, the kid is going to merge their brand-new machine with that devil!
“Now then. Shall we?” Kira pulled out an array of cutting tools.
“...Yeah, I guess. It has been a while since we did something crazy.” Murdock, the head mechanic from Archangel, stretched out for a bit.
“Good to see you in high spirits.”
Kira smirked, seeing his favourite mechanic ready for some action!
…
…
…
First, the pair of machines was disassembled. Kira was confident about this, as Freedom is based on the four GAT series ZAFT stole from Heliopolis.
The internal part, the neural link, the servomotors, and the joints were literal rip-offs of those GAT machines.
Making a ‘Strike Freedom’ is almost like putting those Lego parts together.
As the mechanics assembled the parts, Kira inspected the nuclear power source and the Neutron Jammer Canceler technology.
‘Oh… now this is an interesting technology.’
Kira realised that ZAFT invented a literal assistant in atom fusion.
The Ultimate Coordinator realised that this world has no understanding of Nuclear Fusion.
They had, or they had, but it never came to fruition. He could use the Neutron Jammer Canceller tech to make it happen at a better level.
Considering they use a special metal that is extremely rare on Earth but very common on Mars.
‘I could develop mining operations in the asteroid belt. As far as I am aware, the Mars colony is not that big.’
Kira pondered as he started inspecting the schematics of the nuclear power source. He can’t do much now, considering they only have a few days to work. It's not enough time to manufacture something; it should be just enough time to put together a mobile suit from those two.
As he pondered the designs, a pair of slender fingers blocked his eyes.
“Guess who?”
“Lacus?”
“...Hmph! You are not fun.” She complained with an amused tone.
“I do have a sixth sense when it comes to you, darling~.” He swiftly turned around and pulled her into his hands.
“Is it time for a break?” He asked her.
“Hmm, yes. The dining facilities in this place are impressive.” She commented as she looked at what he was doing.
“Are you planning to do something with the nuclear reactor of Freedom?” the girl asked in a slightly concerned tone.
“Not in a literal sense. What I am planning to create is a Fusion Reactor.”
“...Fusion?”
“Opposite to Fission. Fission is used in nuclear power plants and nukes. Fusion is even better as it is considered an infinite power source as it creates energy from bonding atoms.
We could use those to power nations and facilities planet-wide.” He explained while hugging the pink princess on his lap.
“Hmm, so you already have an array of things you want to do post-war.” She sounded slightly pouty.
“Don’t worry. I am not thinking of working 24/7. With my Lacus around, I will take proper days off and finish my work day at 5.” Kira slightly panicked as he considered marrying his darling. He does need quite a bit of free time to be with a girl.
“You better! I need my future husband at home. You can’t allow people to abuse your talents like this.” Lacus huffed.
“I won’t, after all. I am only doing things I like.”
“Good. Now let’s go get something to eat.”
~~~~~~
[Beginning Mirage Colloid empowered HIMAT stress test.]
Legion spoke via comms. Freedom’s HIMAT thrusters ignited in a test room in blue flames, releasing particles in red-ish purple colours.
[20%]
[35%]
[47%]
The thrusters were around 50% before the AI needed to turn off as the metal frame couldn’t handle the emission.
[Finishing the stress test.]
“Holy, the thrusters couldn’t handle the emission!” a mechanic from Eternal exclaimed while checking the test behind a glass wall.
“It was similar to Strike when Mirage Colloid was first added. But these HIMAT are far more intense.”
“They are because of how they are constructed. These were designed by people who consider deep space exploration in mind.” The engineer from Eternal spoke with a knowing tone.
“ZAFT acquired this technology from them after the reveal of GAT units. We wanted an edge of our own.” A mechanic from Eternal added two bits.
“I see.”
“It appears without Phase Shift Armour, the thrusters will fall apart,” Kira said with an intrigued look.
“I will consider making a new alloy in future.” The Ultimate Coordinator put a note on his laptop about the stress levels.
“Yes, with Phase Shift armour, the thrusters can take more. But what about the parts which are not covered by it? Internal ones?” Murdock asked Kira.
“No worries, it's the same with Strike. While there is more energy, it should not melt as the mirage colloid boosts closer to the thruster for more power instead of in the machine itself.”
“I see. That’s good. I don’t want my superior to blow himself up in space.” The head mechanic joked, but Kira didn’t find it fun…
“Anyway, I will start working on the OS while you guys put the nuclear reactor back into the frame. Don’t blow up.” Kira joked back…
“Not funny, Kira!” Murdock was sweating buckets as he remembered they had a nuke in the workshop!
“Same could be said to you…”
~~~
As the final assembly is taking place, similar work is being done for Buster and Aegis. Kira shared the tech for panoramic cockpits and the hardware boost. Well, these are not brand-new tech. As the machines simply have more than necessary processing power. Originally, they never considered adding that much processing power. But since they have Legion onboard, they need more computing power.
Since they have that processing power, the Mirage Colloid support system has also been installed with Kira's permission.
“So… you know… can we even pilot these things?” Mu La Flaga asked as he got a similar boost to Strike. His mech parts have been hollowed out for the particles to be stored. Extra batteries have been installed.
“You can run test fights inside the cockpit. I have installed simulation systems for training,” Kira said with a laptop in his hands. He was like the Head Engineer now.
“Cool. I guess I can increase my piloting hours!”
“Indeed, and since we are in the station right now, I can tap in for more processing power and make the enemies even stronger.”
“Damn. Do that! Can you make the enemies at red coat level?” Mu asked Kira.
“Yes, that's no problem. Let me update a couple of things, and then you can enter your Buster.” The Ultimate Coordinator went through a couple of apps related to mobile suits before checking his servers, where he keeps OS packages.
He swiftly uploaded those to Buster and Aegis and recently added Freedom. One could say that he now has the same state-of-the-art technology as ZAFT, thanks to getting his hands on Freedom.
“Great! This is going to be great! I can adjust to the new upgrades, too!”
“Yes, that’s the whole point. Considering our odds are not great…” Kira sighed as he recalled that it could be a blood bath. At the same time, Orb has deployed most of the military to space at the moment. They only have less than a hundred machines; from those, only half are here.
So it's around 50 machines versus 500+. That’s like 1 to 10 odds.
…
…
…
“Guys! Guys! The moon base is gone! Genesis attacked the moon!” Cagalli rushed into the workshop where Aegis and Buster were being maintained
“!!!”
“!!!”
“...Damn! And Earth Alliance didn’t even have the means to deploy forces!” Mu exclaimed with anger. With no Mass Drives, the moon base was a sitting duck! They can’t refuel or get more reinforcements.
The trio rushed from the workshop into the command centre where Orb military established a base.
The trio looked at a live stream from cameras monitoring the moon. They could see a huge pillar of flames clearly visible even from Earth’s orbit.
“Look at that!”
One of the commanders changed the video stream and showed the PLANTs, which they saw as a huge satellite weapon emerging from the asteroid field.
“It's like a huge wave emitter or a satellite dish; it concentrates the radiation and releases it like a beam,” Kira explained to them.
“But it's quite an inelegant way of using Mirage Colloid particles.” The Ultimate Coordinator grimaced.
“They are using Mirage Colloid?” Mu asked him.
“They are, to release radiation like that without it is pointless. That cooked part you are looking at is what allows it to concentrate like that. Since they don’t have AI support like we have, they need to replace that piece each time they shoot.”
Kira explained while turning his gaze to Lacus and Siegel.
“I need the Meteor system. I will engage that thing first. Cut apart a direct line of fire. You can use that to blow it up with missiles and whatever we have.” The Ultimate Coordinator looked at Mu La Flaga when he mentioned that.
“Use the Ultra Impact High-Grade rifle we have developed for Buster,” Kira recalled, that he had a weapon ready to roll out for Buster.
“We could, but the weapon has not been tested.” The blonde only saw that gun being put together! They haven’t even shot it yet!
“Well, we will test it now.” Kira smiled while saying that.
“Yeah… I don’t like the odds if it fails…” the blonde Ex-Earth Alliance ace grimaced.
“Don’t worry, Patrick Zala ‘likes’ me enough. I have no doubt he will focus his efforts on blowing me up.” Kira joked, but at that moment, Lacus squeezed his waist with her slender fingers.
For a second, he grimaced from pain and looked at her.
“I know, I know. I won’t put myself in danger.” Kira explained himself.
“You better!”
Nope, he doesn't have that developed yet
