As Alex was watching Inori practise her hand blade work, he summoned his phone and checked his inventory.

He had two Rare tickets and one Epic…

‘An epic…’

‘One of those could give you a power with incredible growth potential, don’t they?’

‘Yeah, technically, the Danmachi falna system could make me into a god.

Not that I seen one reach such a thing.’ The White Dragon Emperor commented as he tried to recall if this was true.

‘Gods are broad term, and being a dragon is better anyway.’ Albion rolled his eyes at the whole being god nonsense.

‘I guess? Not that I can compare…’ Alex sighed as he went to the lottery app.

First, he did some exchanging, converting 700 common tickets into 7 uncommon tickets and 100 uncommon tickets into 1 rare ticket.

He got quite a few uncommon tickets after slaughtering a bunch of wolves Amarok summoned.

Now that he had 3 rare tickets, he could pull something impressive. 

Maybe…

‘Let’s see what is on the table.’

As the ticket merged with the wheel, it turned blue, and the prizes appeared on it.

The list was diverse, and Alex was quite interested in it. There were some Marvel powers, interesting-sounding grimoires, and even bloodlines from what looked like cultivation-based stuff.

It's quite potent if he does say so. Imagine having a thunder-based physique alongside his dragon blood…

After checking the prizes, Alex spun the wheel and waited for it to stop…

‘Well, this is…’

The White Dragon Emperor didn’t know what to think about his first prize.

‘It appears you will be delving into Martial Arts, partner’

‘Yeah…’

‘For a rare manual, this should have more than just basic stances.’

Alex tried to reassure himself.

‘It should. I saw in the uncommon section manuals that they looked like from Shaolin and the Taoists, and this onr should be Taoist ones.’

When the Host of Vanishing Dragon heard that, he immediately summoned the manual. What he got was a medium-sized book that looked quite heavy and had a certain aura around it.

The teen started to skim through the pages. There were stances, breathing methods, meditations, and…

‘Chi Kung? Well, well, now this is a surprise!’

‘Yeah, these are energy-based attacks.’

‘Not just that partner! This is Chi-based martial arts! But that’s not all! This is mastery over Chi or, as people say, Ki. But from the looks of it, you won’t just use Chi to attack but defend, heal, and buff yourself.’

Sure enough, Alex double-checked. He learned about ‘Yang Arts', which includes using Chi to temporarily buff and rapidly heal wounds.

‘Holy… this is like a game character!’

Alex needed to double-check the whole thing, NO! He needs to read everything closely!

‘...You can do that later… you still have two rare spins and one epic.’ Albion reminded him that he had those three.

‘Right.’

The Host of the White Dragon Emperor took a deep breath and calmed himself.

He used the lottery app again and made it spin. The next one he got was… meh?

‘Not bad, you could utilise this with your Dragon Thunder.’

Alex shrugged. He was more interested in getting himself to read the manual on White Tiger arts...

He then rolled his last rare ticket.

[You Got: World Travel Ticket (Rare)]

“...Oh? Interesting.”

He swiftly used the ticket, and to his surprise, the list of worlds was not bad! All of them had mid to high levels of supernatural or superpowered.

Like the Final Fantasy series, he saw 7, 8, and 13… and then Naruto was there as well, alongside Bleach.

‘I thought those will be Epic…’

‘Well, you have to look from a different perspective as well. Just because you can go there doesn’t mean you will flourish. For Naruto, you need their unique chakra. You don’t have that chakra, and I doubt you could utilise their stuff. It's the same with bleach; don’t you need special stuff inside your soul?’

When Albion mentioned that, Alex grimaced. So if he goes to Bleach, he would be useless there! Hell! It's not even a rare ticket! This is garbage! Something like this should be a common or uncommon ticket! So it’s useless!

‘Well, let’s see what I will get.’

The blue wheel started to spin, eventually stopping on a familiar name.

“...well, this game world was not on my menu.”

‘Hmm…’

‘Hahaha, your luck with pink heads is hilarious.’ The Vanishing Dragon chuckled as he went through several memories. In those memories, he saw a high fantasy world with a pink-haired girl.

‘Not funny, not that I can imagine Lightning ending as my girlfriend or something.’

‘Hahahaha…’

“Not funny.” Alex sighed as his dragon laughed like that was starting to annoy him.

‘You have the blood of a Heavenly Dragon. The sheer weight of power in your blood attracts men who want to fight or follow you and females who want your children. That is the simplicity of biology. Accept that already.’

‘I am not denying. I am simply stating that I will most likely have a greater chance of getting punched by her for some reason than getting her attention in a different way.’

The White Dragon Emperor commented as his hand stroked the book he was holding with his other hand: He is treating it like a baby.

‘And that is enough. You realise that as long as you get her attention, that's all it matters.’

The White Dragon commented with a teasing tone, which made Alex roll his eyes. The Heavenly Dragon just loves to mess with him!

‘I would rather think what I could get from such a world.’

For now, the teen host of Vanishing Dragon brushed aside hot Pinkette and instead pondered what kind of power-ups he could get.

‘Well, from what I can understand, it has a crude magic system related to crystals that can be accessed through tattoos.’

‘Yes, something like that. The only high point is the Eidolan. A summon that can transform.’

‘With the current stuff you have, you could mutate that magic, or at least that is what I think. Their system is crude and underdeveloped, something you could do once there. With your power, you could rule that place.’

‘...you kidding?’

‘Not at all! It's a paradise. They have everything there. You could replace that fake pope and rule it. Well, you would need to rewrite those maintenance machine thingies they have. It’s better than living with noisy devils.’

Alex sighed again as he stored the book away, got his phone back, and then used the only available Epic ticket he had.

The wheel turned royal purple, something he had not seen for quite a while. The only time he saw this colour was when he got the ‘noob’ starting gifts.

The teen carefully inspected what he could get. There was some seriously powerful stuff, like psychic powers at Omega class or Sharingan with Eternal Mangekyo potential.

Honestly, the stuff is powerful but not… Legendary? 

After all, there is stronger stuff, like Phoenix Force and Rinnegan… Well, those will be Legendary, no doubt.

‘Well, here it comes.’

The teen Host of Vanishing Dragon pressed the spin button, and the royal purple wheel started to spin. Moments later, it slowed down and eventually stopped on something unique he hadn’t paid attention to before.

[You got: Grimoire Maker (Epic)]

“...”

‘...’

‘Well this… I do wonder what it is…’

‘Knowing the system, it won’t give you a guidebook or notes. So it beats me. But,  I suppose, considering its Epic rank, it could provide you with means to make grimoires. I guess you could make some impressive magic-capable books.

Alex pondered on Albion’s words. However, magic and grimoires are not his thing. He already has a martial arts manual. He doesn’t have time and will delve into that nonsense.

“Alex! I leave you for a minute…” Julis walked over with puffed cheeks but quickly deflated and asked the most important question.

“So what did you get?”

“Here.”

He went to inventory and summoned a purple card.

“This one is for you.”

He handed it to her.

Julis' eyes bulged out as she saw an epic card in her hands. She swiftly read its name; the picture was of a book with magic circles floating out of it.

“Grimoire maker? What does it do?”

“Beats me. Albion doesn’t know either, but it could be an actual system power, like from those Korean-like novels.”

“...Hah? A system power?” She looked confused but then looked at him.

“And you just giving me this?” The pink princess looked perplexed. While not as proud now that she is living with Alex, she still thinks such a powerful gift is too much.

“I have this.” The Vanishing Dragon’s Host summoned a Manual with a Yin & Yang symbol.

“This is a Martial Arts Manual that is full of techniques. It will take me months, if not years, to master all of it. I don’t have patience or interest in grimoires. That is why I will leave it with you. If you could, make a grimoire for me.” He shrugged while showing his new favourite book.

“...I guess…”

“And magic is your thing. You even wanted to be a devil for more knowledge.” He joked with a smirk.

Julis grimaced as she recalled that moment in her life.

“Let’s forget about that.”

She shrugged it aside before asking him.

“What about the other rare ticket?” The pink princess asked curiously. 

“Two, actually, I took out all those wolves Amarok summoned.” 

Her eyes perked up when she heard that.

“I got a world travel ticket to a high fantasy world based on a video game and Superhuman power of perception.”

He summoned a blue card that pictured a human in a room, perceiving everything in it.

“This one, you should keep it. Something like this should work well with your Thunder Dragon Force.” The girl suggested the same thing as Albion.

“I know.”

At that moment, he focused on the card. The blue card glowed and shattered into glass-like pieces that merged with him. 

“...”

“...”

‘...’

“Well?” Julis asked him.

“I don’t feel any different…” He said with a small frown.

“Obviously! You need to do something physical, make blood flow to trigger it… I think.” She suggested.

“Right.”

He walked over to Inori, who, over the blue glow, stopped practising and looked at Alex.

“Let’s spar a little bit, Inori. I have something to test out.”

The girl slowly faced him while nodding. The girl created her crystal blades and took her stance.

Her hair got wilder, and her eyes turned red with rhombus pupils. The girl lunged at him without waiting for him to take a stance.

Alex slightly smiled, seeing her learning quickly how to fight. Not only does she know that enemies won’t allow her to prepare, but she doesn’t allow others to prepare.

“Good.”

As she was about to slice at him, Alex’s eyes widened. He felt the world slow to a halt, and he could zoom in and out while looking at Inori. He could see her from the side and the back, pick up all the details and see what she could try to do!

It was like a pause function in those tabletop RPG games like Baldur Gate and Dragon Age.

Not that it lasted as he swiftly intercepted her, catching her crystal blades effortlessly. When Inori saw what he did, her eyes trembled in disbelief.

“H-How did your speed increase like this? I didn’t see you call forth your lightning!” She asked with a confused look.

“I did use it, but only for a small moment.” He replied with a small smirk. It turns out that this power-up is not completely ‘meh’.

“I see. Then all I need to do is get faster.” She slowly nodded to herself.

“Indeed you do. Small bursts of power are the best way to conserve energy in long fights.” He explained to her while letting her blade go.
