Guilty Crown: ROB's Wheel c78

As the bright light of explosions in space settled down, Alex and Inori began to walk on the bridge towards the HQ of GHQ.

There were roadblocks along the way, but after seeing what the pair could do, the remaining soldiers and Antibodies are having second thoughts about fighting against these monsters.

“Shoot them!”

“...I said…” 

Before he could comment, the guy became a cloud of small crystals.

As the pair passed, a now extinct roadblock. It didn’t last long before they were in the Headquarters.

“Didn’t expect to return so soon,” Alex commented as he saw the damage they inflicted… was it yesterday? Yes, yesterday. 

For the Virus Progenitor, it was recently. The dungeon diving sessions mess up his perception of time, but even then, it was not long ago.

“Let’s destroy it,” Inori suggested, as this is the place that created her—something she has conflicted feelings about.

“As my lady wishes.” He slightly nodded and then lifted his hand; Inori copied him. The sky in the bay turned deep pink with shades of purple as if something were being created in it.

A few moments later, a massive crystal sword started to descend on the tower that was GHQ's headquarters.

People who knew the danger a while ago began to abandon the building.

“It won’t be that easy to leave.” Alex’s voice spread through the whole building and car parking lot as crystal walls rose from the asphalt and sealed the exits.

Moments later, the crystal sword caught fire, descended like the sword of Damocles, and began to collide with the tower building.

It easily cut through the concrete, cutting it like tofu before swelling up like a balloon and exploding, effortlessly destroying the whole thing.

Alex and Inori watched the whole thing behind a translucent pink barrier with fascinated expressions.

“Not bad. What do you think, Inori?” The Host of the Heavenly Dragon commented as he was impressed by the amount of firepower he could call forth.

Instead of saying anything, the girl simply cuddled into his arm, not caring what had just happened.

“Well, let’s see if there are any survivors.”

He said after accepting her cuddles.

The pair dismissed the barrier and looked around.

“...”

“...”

“...Well…”

It turned out they couldn’t walk far, as the bridges were destroyed, and the bay water started to claim whatever was left and pull it into the depths of the sea.

“...Water… I don’t think they survived this.” Inori commented as she looked at sinking blocks of concrete. The water was slightly purple and pink from the remnant of crystals.

“True.” 

“We should return home.” The girl suggested to him.

“Yes, I am slightly tired.” Alex dismissed his augmented form as the shades of his hair returned to normal, and his eyes lost the rhombus pupils, leaving behind the draconic slits. 

By this point, he wouldn’t be able to restore his eye colours or human pupils even if he wanted to.

Inori followed after him and dismissed her augmented state as well. The pair turned around and started walking towards the city.

“Holy…”

“This is insane!”

The Funeral Parlour observed how a massive sword dropped on the HQ.

An enormous explosion created waves of water that slammed into buildings and streets, washing away cars and anything not attached to the ground. Even large rubbish bins were ripped out and washed away.

The sheer scale of destruction was absurd!

But then, after that, there was nothing; it was quiet. The rebels went to explore to see what was going on, as it was hard not to notice a massive sword falling from the sky.

They couldn’t find a single GHQ soldier or antibody! There was nothing left! Not even the SUV or light tanks remained, nothing! They couldn’t find a single corpse or a clue what happened to them.

Not even bullet shells were around…

“They erased everything related to GHQ.”

“Yes, they did. Let’s explore more. We need to confirm that GHQ is truly gone,” Gai said to his followers. The rebels nodded at his orders and spread out to look for anyone from GHQ.

If this is true, then they have removed the opposition, and there is no one to keep the order in Japan. That could be troublesome and a great opportunity at the same time.

To their surprise and horror, the entirety of Tokyo did not have a single white uniform-wearing individual. This showed them how terrifying the virus can be. 

There were no corpses or even any indication that an organisation by such a name existed; the only indicator was the writings on the boards and checkpoints.

That’s about it.

“...hmm… oh, it's you guys.” A familiar female voice got the Funeral Parlour's attention. The rebels turned stiff as they saw Julis walk over with several weapons floating behind her. She had a knife, a sniper rifle, huge scissors, and an axe.

“...Julis Riessfeld…” Gai turned to face her. He could see her blue eyes were gone. The girl had red eyes, and her hair colour now was similar to the other girl's, which was white and pink. This one had strands of white hair, too.

“Yes, I have dealt with GHQ in this area. There should be none of them left. If some survived, then they most likely were hiding in the depths of the ground.” Julis declared with certainty. Gai noticed that the girl became more unhinged after becoming whatever this was.

“My thanks. With this, Japan will be free from their influence.”

“Good for you. Enjoy your freedom fight. I shall return to my boyfriend.” As she said this, a pair of flaming crystalline wings erupted from her back, and the girl rose from the ground and flew away.

‘Just like that, she created an extra pair of limbs…’ Gai commented internally as he watched her fly away. He never imagined such development. Aliens come over and fix his issues, however…

‘Mana…’ The blonde frowned as he realised that Mana was most likely dead if Alex became Adam and took Julis and that other girl as his Eves.

There was most likely a fierce battle for control, but with his dragon powers, the alien defeated Mana and wrestled control of the virus.

‘It's quite amusing that there was no reluctance when it came to the virus. It's like he knew about it extensively. Does such virus exist in other worlds too?’

The leader of the rebels pondered on this as he watched the girl fly away.

Julis looked around until she realised that Alex and Inori were gone somewhere.

‘Damn, where did he go too?’

After looking around, she decided to return home.

As the Pink Princess opened the door of their flat, her boyfriend yanked her into the bedroom.

**Eeep!!!**

The girl’s eyes widened briefly as she felt how she ended up on the bed.

The shock lasted for a second, but then her eyes gleamed as she knew what was coming next.

Alex looked at the mirror in the bathroom. He inspected his body and skin, and with a closer look, he noticed that his skin was made from miniature crystals. It was not real flesh anymore. Now that was saying something!

He was not human anymore by any stretch of the imagination. 

However, he still feels not that different. He might feel closer to some overpowered being as he could easily extend his power and overwhelm whatever was in his path, but he could still feel that he was more or less a warm-blooded human-ish person. Or something along those lines…

‘I think it's time for you to check out what your stats look like. You haven’t checked those since before the dive,’ Albion commented, as he was just as curious as Alex.

‘Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.’

The White Dragon Emperor closed his eyes and activated the Falna system.

‘This whole thing is slowly becoming a wall of text.’ Alex sighed in resignation, though he was happy he got something out of this trip: seven skills and new magic.

‘Interesting new magic you got there. It appears because of the virus, you have two natures now.’

‘Yeah, I noticed, after becoming ‘Adam’, I can cast and merge both lightning and crystals, getting plasma.’

The Virus Progenitor recalled creating a beam that erased the satellite weapon, a weapon in space; his plasma beam was powerful enough to escape the planet's gravity and burn that thing away.

Alex looked at his hand, and it began to morph, turning crystalline. His fingers became sharp like dragons before morphing into a sword, and then light pink, nearly white energy extended from the edge, becoming plasma swords.

These were his blades. He no longer needed to cast around his fingers or hand; his hand itself was a blade now.

Not only that, but he can also hear the sound of plasma! It was like a lightsaber!

“This is so cool,” Alex commented as he swirled his new hand blade several times.

‘Not just that, but your Blade Blacksmith should be impacted by this too.’ 

Albion commented as he watched the whole thing.

‘I know, not just blades like these, I can do much more.’ 

The Virus Progenitor recalled using something like Genesis Field, turning organic and non-organic into literal crystal dust.

Back then, he went on autopilot, but now he can ponder what he did.

For example, he brought Inori and Julis, who are sleeping in his bed.

‘You are a pure dragon now, partner. Once you want it, you could have your way with the entire city’s female population. I am surprised you didn’t, considering you were not born naturally.

This virus consumed your human flesh and rebuilt it with dragon blood as a basis. It appears the virus can’t properly erase supernatural, or you rebuild it purely as a dragon.’ The White dragon pondered on his actions, making Alex wonder as well.

All that stuff was like a blur to him; his instincts as a dragon took over and did all of this.

‘Don’t sweat it. A Lot of times, we just go on instinct and autopilot. That's how we died against the Biblical faction.’

‘Don’t sweat it!? You just told me that you died in a frenzy!’

‘Yes, but you are a Virus now. That means killing you is practically impossible. You can just reform once someone takes a bite of you.’  Alex could feel Albion shrugging without care.

The Virus Progenitor massaged his forehead when he heard that.

‘I think I will study martial arts to see if I can mitigate my dragon instincts.’ He said to his dragon partner. 

‘That’s a good call. That book is interesting, and now that you are this strange being, you could get the most out of it.’

The White Dragon host could hear a peculiar voice from Albion. He sounded like Alex was some guinea pig he was interested in watching.

‘That tone of yours is telling me something I should not be trying to entertain you.’

‘Come now, Partner. It will be interesting to see what you can achieve.’

Albion said in an uplifting tone, but it sounded something like, ‘Come! Amuse me!’ Not the best motivator…

‘Yeah, yeah, I need a shower first.’

‘Sure… but do you even sweat now? Considering you are living crystal now.’

The dragon asked curiously, making Alex’s eyebrows twitch.
