Gundam Seed: Kira Reloaded c41

Lacus frowned as the girl kept rolling in her bed. The pinkette was hyperactive, and her mind kept wondering about all sorts of things.

She couldn’t fall asleep!

Eventually, she couldn’t take it anymore. So she got up and looked for a clock…

Finding it on one of the walls, she frowned for a moment when she saw the time.

It was past 2 midnight.

A sigh escaped her lips. Turns out she can’t sleep! Now that the world is at peace, her mind is not!

For a second, she wondered what to do.

Not that it was a hard thing to do! After all, she always sleeps in Kira’s hands when this happens!

The girl recalled that she slept more in his bed than she did in hers aboard Archangel and even Eternal!

So, without wasting time, she sneaked out of her room and walked through the corridor silently before opening Kira’s doors and checking inside.

What she saw inside was a set of LED lights illuminating portions of the room.

However, he was not in the bed.

Her eyes scanned the room before entering it. For a second, she wondered where he was.

But, then she saw that the window was wide open and… Freedom was much closer that she recalled…

She walked over to the window and inspected it.

“Kira?” 

Lacus poked her head out.

“On the roof.” She heard his voice coming from the top.

“The stars at equatorial are not bad.” He commented before Freedom raised his hand and offered for her to stand on.

The girl smiled before stepping over and ending up on the machine's palm. The mech lifted her to the rooftop level, where she saw Kira lying on a blanket. He had a pack of chips and a bottle of soda next to him.

The girl strolled over as she saw enough space for her to prepare!

“...You knew I would join you?” She asked with a curious tone as she ended up sitting next to him. He even got another blanket ready for her cover in case it was cold for her…

“Yep. You have been sleeping with me for months, even complaining that it was hard for you to sleep when we were separated~” He explained to her as he recalled everything she said after they reunited in PLANTs.

Lacus blushed for a second as he ended up hugging her, and the girl ended up partially laying on top of him. She looked up and saw the clear skies with countless stars shinning down on them.

“...beautiful… this is the first time I saw PLANTs from Earth…” The girl commented as she saw the hourglass-shaped colonies alongside the stars and the moon.

Since there are that many of them, they are quite visible even if they are some distance away.

“Yeah, we never had the chance to look at the night sky without any sort of worry.” He said with a relieved sigh.

“Did you often look at the night sky like this when you used to live on Orb?” She asked him.

“Sometimes? I guess I never put emphasis on it. Since I used to be busy all the time, now that I am back after the war, I see it differently.” Kira explained to her as his hand stroked her side.

But then, a small smile appeared on his lips.

“I did wonder if a gorgeous girl would end up in my hands if I looked at the stars long enough~.” He joked with a teasing tone.

Lacus giggled for a second as he, in a roundabout way, told her that he was teasing her.

“Oh. Do you have specific about… this Goddess you have been wishing upon the stars?” Lacus joined in this joke as she asked him with a curious tone full of barely hidden amusement.

“Well… she has cerulean eyes, long pink hair and can sing~~.” Kira pretended to think seriously.

“Hmm, hmm, Hmm… quite a description there.” She pretended to nod seriously. “Anything else?” 

“She looks gorgeous in a pilot suit.” Lacus' eye rolled. “In general, any clothes look great at her.”

His earnest second-half answer made her blush quite a bit.

“Quite a smooth talker.” She slightly moved her head to the side and looked at him before moving in to kiss him.

After a while, the girl fell asleep. In the midst of cuddling, she ended up snuggling into his chest.

Kira smiled, seeing that he slowly stood up with her in his hands and walked to the edge, where his mobile suit picked him up and lowered him to his window. Once inside his room, he laid Lacus in his bed before joining her after cleaning up.

“Well, finally, the whole mess is over.” The Ultimate Coordinator mumbled to himself as he recalled what he did and what was to come.

Like always… he will be ready.

“But for now…sleep.” He immediately cuddled his darling next to him.

~~~~~~Next Day~~~~~~

“Mnhnn~ " Lacus’ eyes trembled as she opened them and saw an unfamiliar ceiling. For a second, she was confused before recalling that she was on Earth and the war was over!

An immediate smile appeared on her lips as she turned to the side and saw Kira sleeping there. One of his hands was hugging her. Even in deep sleep, he would hold her close.

‘So cute! No one would believe that this was the boogeyman of ZAFT!’ The girl slowly lifted her hand and stroked his cheek.

It was enough for Kira as he opened his eyes and looked at her.

“Morning~” Lacus greeted him.

“Morning.” He pulled her closer for a hug.

“What are we doing for today?” She asked him.

“Nothing. Absolutely nothing.” Kira said in a lazy tone.

“I might not even leave the house today.” He joked as he placed his head on hers.

“Sounds good. Why don’t we check what we have to eat? Then we can organise something.” Lacus slightly moved his head away as she felt he was behaving like a cat.

“...Oh... I know! Barbeque!” He had an idea! His fiance’s eyes perked up, and she recalled Sahara and the kebabs.

“...You think we could get Kebabs?” She asked curiously after thinking for a while.

“Hmm…well, not to complicate things, barbecue IS Kebabs; it's just that it's different meat, like lamb, and the preparation methods are almost identical.” He began to explain to her in a similar way to how he describes his Mobile suits.

Lacus nodded several times.

“I see, so we need to get some meat and prepare for barbeque.” The girl concluded.

“Yep.” He nodded eagerly as he was already getting excited for some grill action! He always wanted to do that with Lacus!

The Ultimate Coordinator jumped out of his bed, walked over to his backpack with clothes, and began to skim through the stuff he had brought with him.

Soon enough, he pulled out shorts with palm trees, a Hawaiian-style shirt with a similar design to the shorts, and, lastly, flip-flops!

He was ready for the holidays!

Lacus giggled. Seeing his clothes, it would seem like he was ready for the holidays all along!

“And now to see you in a bikini.” He proclaimed with a serious tone as if it was a mission to be done.

The pinkette slightly blushed when she heard that. The girl feels like he wants to dress her up…

“We can think of something…” Not that she can say no to such a simple request.

“Yep, the island is full of beaches, Lacus. Now get up; we can start planning this barbeque!” He motioned for her to get up.

The pink-haired beauty smiled even more as she quickly got up from the bed.

“Should we check with your parents?” She suggested after stretching out for a bit.

“I will do that while you go and dress up for vocation~.” Kira winked at her before leaving his room and going downstairs. He can already hear the TV.

As Lacus descended to the living room, she could already see that everyone was behind the idea of a barbeque.

Not a surprise there. There is an occasion to celebrate…

“We should head to the city and check the meat markets for the best price and quality,” Kira’s mother, Caridad, suggested.

“Yes, we can check with the bank at the same time. I do need to set a couple of things in motion.” The Mobile Suit pilot nodded as he stroked his chin, thinking of something specific.

“At least for a while, you should forget about big killer robots, Kira.” The blue-haired lady sighed as she felt he was planning something with those big things.

She even looked at Lacus, motioning her to assist her with this!

“She is right, Kira. At least for a couple of days, forget about the mobile suit.”

Kira raised his hands as if acknowledging defeat, and then he quickly explained himself.

“It's not mobile suits, okay? I do need to manage the money I have. I need a manager who can begin moving that wealth and not let it rot in one place.

Besides, it won’t take long. All I need is simple information on where to start.” He rolled his eyes at those two. 

“Fine, then it’s settled. We will be going to the city after breakfast.”

The pair of coordinators nodded at Haruma, Kira’s stepdad.

A quick breakfast later, the group left the house and went to get into a car. The Ultimate Coordinator looked at the modest family car. It had quite a big trunk.

“Say, Kira, is your mobile suit fine for being parked like that?” Haruma asked as Freedom was before their eyes as the car left the driveway.

“It’s fine. The artificial Intelligence constantly monitors everything that is happening around it. No one would be able to steal it.” Kira explained as he was sitting at the back with Lacus.

“I see. But it's a military asset. Shouldn’t it be kept in a warship?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.

“It's fine. I sort of built the machine after Lacus gave it to me as an engagement gift.”

Lacus stiffed when she heard that! She looked at Kira with wide eyes. Why is he saying that!?

“Oh…hoho, that’s quite a gift.” Haruma was impressed while Caridad looked at her with new ‘light’.

“...This…well, it's because of the circumstances?” She tried to explain herself.

Kira has put her in a tight spot!

“Relax~, it's fine,” Kira whispered into her ear as he wrapped his hand around his waist and pulled her closer.

“You do know that I stole it!” She hissed into his ear.

“And I stole you.” 

He clarified to her.

The girl stopped for a second as she pondered what he meant.

“...When you put it like that…” 

Lacus realised that she stole from Patrick Zala, and Kira stole her from Athrun Zala.

It was quite a realisation!

“What? It is what it is. War spoils~” he joked, making her cheeks puff up from embarrassment.

“Hmph!”

She huffed for a second before pondering on the consequences of this war.

Not that she had much time to think as she began to look at Orb's countryside.

The war did not touch this land; she could see it, unlike other areas she saw while aboard the Archangel.

Less than half an hour later, they were in the city. It had skyscrapers and was quite advanced. It's not as advanced as PLANT’s, as the space colonies are special. The cities over there are designed, while Orb is much more natural in its growth.

After another ten minutes, the car was parked in a car park in a shopping mall.

“It has been a while since I have been here,” Kira said as he exited the car.

“It was, wasn’t it? It's where you got your first computer and robotics set.” 

The moment he mentioned that Kira had a flashback. Yep, it was a while.

“I do wonder if those stores are still around.” The Ultimate Coordinator mentioned that with a nostalgic voice as he walked over to his Fiance before taking her hand.

“Let’s go shop~” He said to her.
