I Got Maids in ATG Prologue

‘Why do I have to deal with this first thing in the morning?’ A yawn escaped from my lips as I looked at the drama before me.

It was the main character, the protagonist, who told everyone how he was abandoning his old family name of ‘Xiao’ and taking his ‘true’ name of ‘Yun’!

That’s right! This was Yun Che, the protagonist of Against the Gods. The ‘Devil’ and all those thingies… honestly, I was surprised that I was inserted into Xiao Clan of Floating Cloud City.

I would have preferred something of greater substance, but beggars can’t be choosers.

My name… or more like my new name is Xiao Tianlong, and I awakened today, while Yun Che got reincarnated a week or so ago.

So, he has a head start in all of this…

‘Hmm… so that girl next to him is Xia Qingyue…’ my gaze went to the girl dressed in blue. She was pretty, that’s for sure. It's a pity that she is the ‘First meal’ type. 

What I mean by that is that once she ‘selects’ her person, she stays loyal to that person.

‘However…’

My gaze went up, and I saw another gorgeous specimen. With long black hair and icy spirits dancing around her, dressed in white and blue robes, this woman was like an Ice Goddess. 

‘This is Chu Yueli…’ 

“T-That’s Sky Profound! Unbelievable!” One of the teens next to me mumbled. He looked like he saw a ghost or a demon or something unbelievably powerful.

“To think that Fairy Xia is with Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace!” 

The peanut gallery next to me began mumbling about the unbelievable stuff happening before them.

In this situation, all I could think was that these fairies were gorgeous and that they would look incredible in a Maid uniform.

‘Or maid bikini one. Hah, I do want to see them blushing and stuttering how indecent those clothes are!’

“Ugh… getting excited first thing in the morning?” I mumbled to myself as I waited for this stupid event to finish.

It was not a great time to get excited, as my cultivation was third-rate even in this place, and my gaze already had attracted the attention of the floating fairy.

‘Yep, I should reel it back.’ 

Thankfully she didn’t care as she was flexing her power on those morons from Xiao Sect and the Young Master of my ‘illustrious’ clan.

Their scheme was destroyed, Xia Qingyue returned with Chu Yueli to the Frozen Palace, and Yun Che was exiled as he was adopted.

Yun Che promised to get his revenge for this' humiliation' before leaving the clan grounds.

He walked out with his head held high.

“Finally done. Why does Yun Che think we care about his nonsense?” I said while stretching out. Standing for ages and listening to them speak drove me to the brink of falling asleep.

“I am thinking the same thing, brother.” My fellow Xiao Clan members agreed with me. Now that the big shots are gone, we can relax and say what we think about this situation.

As everyone left the gathering grounds, I was finally able to return to my humble abode.

The identity I have is that of a low-class cultivator with barely passing talent for this clan.

To become a ‘Xiao,’ I needed to abandon whatever surname I had before—not that I had any, as I was ‘spawned’ into this world. 

So, from the beginning to the end, I was ‘Xiao Tianlong’. 

After returning to my bedroom, I dropped into my bed and began to snooze. Honestly, waking up this early to listen to a pervert speak nonsense is draining.

“Ogh! That hit the spot!” I stretched out as I got up. The first thing I did afterwards was to wash my face with cold water and then finally check the powers I was given.

The powers I got from the lottery of the ‘afterlife’ were resources and how to utilise them.

When I read what kind of power I got, I quickly selected a cultivation novel I know extensively. 

Having infinite resources in the Cultivation world is the best cheat it could be.

With a simple motion of closing my eyes, I was transported to an Oasis.

In the middle of the Oasis was a glistering lake; around it were trees, bushes, grasses, and all sorts of plants.

From the Oasis to my north was a frozen version of this Oasis. Behind me was a flaming version of it, and to my right was a windy one and on the left was an entrance to a cave…

‘Where is darkness or light?’

My gaze went to the cave entrance, where I began to walk. Several steps later, I was inside, and my gaze ended up on a subterranean version of the oasis with plants growing from the walls. However, there were two more tunnels to the sides.

One was warm and inviting, and the other generated supernatural coldness. It was so dark that the light from the crystals on the walls couldn’t even show what was inside.

“Guess I know where my darkness or light is.” I looked at the pair of tunnels before turning around and walking back to the main Oasis, which is ‘neutral’ in its affinity to elements.

This is the best for me until I decide on the element.

“Let’s see~”

I walked to the grasses growing extensively on the outskirt area. They were separated by usages, from boosting effects to gathering to bonding of other elements.

While it would take me decades to learn all of this, thankfully, I was given knowledge. That is why I can test it and see if it's true…

My hand went to a small bush and pulled some out. 

“...”

“What the–”

My eyes slightly widened as right before my eyes, the bush regrew…

“Dang…”

I slightly shook my head as this was broken. There is no growth limit, and that is just perfect!

I walked closer to the oasis, where a small alchemist set was ready for me. From bottles to cauldrons, there was everything there.

Since I am still in the Elementary Profound stage, using profound energy-based stuff is a big no-no. At this stage, I need to focus on bodybuilding, as it generates vitality to ‘awaken’ my Profound Veins.

‘Medical baths it is then!’

I looked around…

“Well, shit… I will need to do this outside then.” 

It turns out that I don’t have a bathtub.

But then I looked at the glistering water in the centre of the Oasis…

“Or…”

I walked to the water and looked at it.

‘This is…’

I realised that the water is not simple.

To test it out, I scooped some of it and drank it from my palm. My eyes widened when I realised it tasted extremely nice, and something surged inside me, spreading throughout my body.

“...I just had a breakthrough. Does this water stimulate my vital energy? No… it stimulates…everything?” 

To test it out, I decided to prepare a bathtub. It's not that I need it to do outside; I can simply take the one I have in my house.

It's a wooden one, and I can carry it into my resource realm.

I quickly left the special realm and walked to a room next door. It was a small one with a hole in the middle. There was a simple wooden tube, large enough for a person to lay in it and fully submerge. 

I grabbed it and closed my eyes. The next thing I knew, I was back in the realm, and I rolled the tube close to the oasis.

“Right, I need a bucket…”

Once again, I went back and got a bucket. With the bucket in hand, I began to fill the bathtub.

It won’t have water alone, as I have herbs in mind that will stimulate my muscles and purify the body.

Around 30 minutes later, everything was ready, and I could finally test it out.

“...ohhh…”

The moment I submerged, I could feel the herbs' medical effects rush into my body, sap into my muscles, and flow through the whole body.

What followed next was a surge of vitality that spread through my body…

‘Another breakthrough.’

I realised that I had just reached [Elementary Profound Five], and it was not the end, as I could feel that the medicine was not done.

The process repeated itself for a while until the herbs ran out of energy.

My cultivation has stopped at [Elementary Profound Eight]

After the surge was over, I got out of the bathtub and inspected myself. I could feel my body burning with vitality, and a small smirk appeared on my lips.

The water did the trick. I could say it's very special. Well, it should be since it's in the middle of the resources realm.

However, my happiness was short as the contents of the bathtub were disgusting and full of dirt.

“Ew…”

I quickly grabbed the tube and reappeared in my house. I promptly took it outside and decided to get rid of it.

Midway, my stomach rumbled as I was feeling hungry.

‘Yeah… time to get some food.’

I quickly realised that my casual stroll to the Food Hall was being noticed by…pretty much everyone.

‘It would seem my incognito only lasted a couple of hours.’ 

If possible, I would suppress my cultivation base, but I have no idea how it works! Not to mention that I can’t, as it's Elementary Profound!

So yeah, I went from side character to main character in a mere couple of hours! 

I could hear whispers from older clan members who were slightly stronger than me. They all looked at me with calculating gazes.

For now, they haven’t asked anything; instead, they just watch me.

‘Well, that is fine with me. I want to eat, not talk.’

Once I arrived at the Food Hall, it was a place where regulars eat. There are no elders here. Xiao Elders and their children have their own mansions, pavilions, and all that stuff. This is where the plebians of the Xiao Clan eat.

My gaze went to the front, where the food was. The whole place reminded me of hotels in my previous life.

I grabbed my plate and went to get some food. While I did gain the attention of everyone, the positive aspect of this was that no one was getting in my way. There is not a single stronger person than I am in this hall.

After all, [Elementary Profound Eight] is something only an inner member at my age should be, or precisely a member of the main family like Xiao Yang or Xiao Yulong…

Regardless, my dinner went without a hitch, but by the time I returned to my humble abode, I realised that the doors were wide open.

“Oh, you got to be kidding me.” 

I swiftly rushed over and got inside. The place was ransacked.

‘These guys work quick…’

I was only away for less than an hour, but they already checked everything.

As I began to clean up my place, I noticed that something was burning in the distance.

“The protagonist is on the loose.”

For a second, I watched as the pyres consumed the medical hall. I wondered what I should do. If I stick around, these guys will continue to be a nuisance.

It's not that they will be a problem for long. All I need is [Nascent Profound] before consuming much more potent herbs and rapidly increasing my cultivation base.

By the morning, I will be unstoppable. 

However, at the same time I don’t want to be here either way.

I was in the cultivation world! There is a bunch of stuff to see and taste, all sorts of foods!
