Xiao Tianlong stopped walking and turned around. Seeing his first maid look ghastly white.

“Yep, anyway, come with me, show me where is this cafeteria.” 

“...Umm… do you even need to eat?” She asked him with confusion. As far as she knows, Throne could even survive without bodies.

“It's a choice. When you are low on energy, your body is sending you a message of desire. You can ignore it, right?” 

She slowly nodded.

“Precisely, I can ignore it, or I can indulge myself. I used most of my Profound Energy today by practising pill making. So I need to refill my reserves.” 

“But if that's true, then you would need a lot of food. I don’t think the paltry here has enough for you to cover half of your needed energy.” She reasoned, which made sense to her. The food here is for students, elders, and instructors, who indulge only in wine or if there is a banquet.

“Indeed, but this is a good opportunity to taste how good the chefs are here.” 

She slightly panicked after seeing that smile. What if they were bad to him!? The girl is quite satisfied with what they have to offer, but it's not that high class like in the restaurants available in the city!

“Relax. Now come.” He grabbed her hand and pulled her towards where the hall should be.

“...Umm… I can show you where it is…” Ye Hongling quickly realised that he had no idea where he was going.

I looked at the cute girl next to me. My plan for the first maid was successful. I had a cutie for the role in the tournament. Now, all I need is to increase her cultivation to acceptable levels and swindle her into the ranking tournament for Cang Yue.

There was an array of facial expressions going through her when he was explaining.

“Concubine?” For a second, Xiao Tianlong looked disgusted.” No, don’t they like officially breeding cattle for leaders and such? All they have to do is look nice and birth children. In turn, they get resources.” He explained how he sees this ‘role’.

“That is why maid is better; I want to see you do more and prove to me that you have more than a face.” 

The Throne explained to her as he grabbed her chin and made her look at him.

“Isn’t it why you are cultivating? Or do you want to attract a powerful man’s attention?” To his question, she blushed even harder as he hit the nail on the head.

“...Should it be obvious?” She didn’t confirm or deny.

“Hehe…” He lowered his hand.” Indeed, so you will be maid, and reaching Monarch and above won’t be a fantasy to you.”

Her eyes nearly popped after hearing that! D-Did he just casually mention the mythical realm of Monarchs!?

Instead of saying anything, he turned around and walked to his bed. He got on it and sat down with crossed legs.

“You will see yourself. For now, familiarise yourself with this Palace; you will maintain it. Satisfy me, and I will help you reach [Nascent Profound] in a few days.”

After saying that, he pulled out a pill with a monstrous aura from…somewhere and swallowed it.

At that moment, his aura erupted like a Volcano!

Ye Hongling felt suffocating just from being in the room. She used all her strength to leave it; otherwise, she would die swiftly!

The girl barely left the room, closed the door with difficulty, and began walking away.
