Pillaging My Way Through Another World c1
Added 2025-02-07 18:53:54 +0000 UTCHe wasn’t expecting his balls to heat up like that! It was strange!
Still, he quickly got over it. Now he feels like he took a gallon of Energy Drink and is ready to party the whole night!
‘Apparently, energy drinks mixed with alcohol are bad for health. Not that I am here to judge or anything.’
Ren shook his head as random thoughts and ideas began to surface. He felt like he was in a sugar rush.
Ready to talk bullshit!
“Yeah… whatever…honestly, show me my stats.”

‘Not bad at all!’
Ren hummed, nodding his head several times before looking around.
His eyes perked up as he saw what the goblins were doing before he attacked them.
What he saw was a large leaf on the ground. On this leaf were berries and mushrooms, a small pile of them.
‘Food gathering?’
He walked over, picked one berry, and tried it out.
The moment the berry touched his taste buds, he knew it was good stuff!
However, he was much more cautious when it came to mushrooms as that stuff could be poisonous and not poisonous for goblins… or something like that…
‘Hell, berries could be poisonous too…’ he wanted to bang his head into a tree!
But thankfully, the mushroom was edible and had some sort of effect.
‘Hmm, energy boost? Recovery?’ As he needed to figure out, Ren bit some of the mushrooms.
‘Of course… drugs, the goblins get high on this and then get on a breeding spree.’
The teen chuckled as he had a particular image in his head about these little buggers being high.
After getting an idea, he collected the leaf with food and walked away from burn goblins to find a place to sit down and finish the food.
Not long after finishing the food, Ren continued his trip.
~~~~~~A Couple Hours Later~~~~~~
“Oh, nice. A freshwater stream!” The teen exclaimed in happiness as he crouched and inspected the water for a bit, then scooped some with his palm and tasted it.
“Damn… this is better than expensive mineral water from a supermarket!”
Maybe, maybe not. He could be overreacting because he hadn’t had any drinking water for several hours…
After getting enough water, he got up and returned to his search.
A couple minutes later, not far from the stream, he found a cavern.
It was…just the right…spot!
He would be happy if not for the fact that it was far too convenient to believe that it was empty and ready for him to use.
‘Nah, I'm far too cynical for this stuff.’
The teen frowned as he got closer. As he did, growls erupted from inside the cave.
Multiple yellow canine eyes looked at him.
“Wolves… oh boy…”
Ren pointed his hand, and waves of lightning rushed towards the beasts.
The beast rushed towards him, towards the incoming attacks.
That’s the thing about this situation: Ren has an advantage. Wolves are pack hunters, and they surround their prey and systematically weaken them with countless attacks.
But this time, they were packed in a single spot, and Ren could just flood them with lightning.
That’s exactly what happened.
As the cave lit up from constant lightning, the grey wolves began to drop like flies from high voltage.
Since they were packed in a single spot, the flow of electricity went from one to another and one by one. They were either killed or paralysed.
‘Oh my, music to my ears!’
The sound of a bell-like chime greeted his ears as he saw notifications pop in front of him.
He just hit the jackpot with this move. After a couple more seconds of electrocution, the teen stopped with the attack. All he could see was smoke and the smell of burned flesh.
“Ugh…”
For a second, he reconsidered staying in this cave, but as the sun was setting, he needed shelter for the night.
After waiting for a bit, Ren walked into the cave, strolled towards the first wolf and activated Pillage.
Dark Purple Aura rushed towards the canine, enveloping it.
[Bite]
[Pounce]
[Pack Calling]
“Ugh…now this is garbage.”
Ren doesn’t even need to read deeper into the skills to know they are garbage.
Bite and Pounce are self-explanatory, and he is not willing to bother with them. Just imagining himself trying to bite someone while being on all four makes him cringe.
He likes pillaging skills, yeah, but he has standards!
But… he does see usage in Pounce. It looks useful in using it to push girls down!
‘Damn, that libido skill made me into a horny bastard.’ Ren realised that the Supernatural Libido skill was affecting his psyche.
Still… he can see…some use in the last skill.
“Pack Calling does sound useful.”
The teen pressed on Pack Calling to see more details.
[Pack Calling:
Lv 1
Description: Ability to communicate with nearby animals (wolves) and call forth them to your location for assistance.
‘Doesn’t sound that bad.’
Ren decided to take it. It sounds not a bad trick to get ‘reinforcements’. But from the looks of it, this skill will be only useful in drawing the enemy with more enemies unless he has some control skills.
‘Now, I need Pack Leader or something like that.’
[Pack Calling has been added. The name changed: Pack Calling (Wolves)]
‘Fair enough, not to confuse when I get something different.’
[Pillage has Level Up!]
“Oh? Nice!”
Ren dismissed the notification and checked out the level-up on his Pillage Skill.
[Pillage:
“Umm, okay? Apart from the number, nothing happened…” The teen was confused by this. He expected some… changes!
Regardless, he dismissed the skills window and checked other wolves.
Ren dismissed these; all of them had the same set of skills. At the same time, he realised that his Pillage skill was not improving; he needed to finish the pillage process.
Not that he was dissapointed, as it made sense to him.
Midway, he used the skill on the last corpse.
[Pack Calling]
[Pack Leader]
“Oh, so the leader dog.” With a nod, he checked for more information on this skill.
“Now I am assured that more effects unlock after the skill level is up.”
Ren is certain that stuff like Leader Aura or something similar will manifest after he grinds the skill.
Same with Pillage.
‘Now I am curious what else I can pillage…’
As he pondered that, he added a new skill to his growing list of skills.
He called forth his status bar; it was time to see what he got.
‘Not bad at all, the growth looks steady.’
Ren smirked for a second as he was ready to continue his grind, but this was impossible as the sun was going down.
He needs to make a campfire and get something more to eat.
“Hmm…”
His gaze went to the wolves. They have fur…
‘I suppose I could start a test with alchemy. Get a feel for how this works.’
First, he pulled the charred corpses outside and activated the skill.
A white light began to glow around Ren’s hands, and he got an idea of how does this work.
“Hmm…”
…
[Alchemy has Level Up!]
“Oh… I see…”
“Quite convenient!”
[Alchemy has Level Up!]
With a burst of light, the wolf's corpse turned into several pieces of different materials…
Wolf pelt, bones, and meat were all separate…
“Oh…what is this?” Ren picked a very small white diamond-like crystal from the ground.
It was not bigger than his fingernail.
“Is this a mana crystal?” He mumbled under his breath. It appears he has found something interesting.
‘I suppose dungeons are a thing, too, if crystals like these are a thing.
It shouldn’t be a surprise since how game-like is this place.’
After pondering for a bit, Ren went to inspect other corpses, which were his failed experiments.
A short check later, he pulled out more of these crystals from other wolves.
‘Their sizes are slightly different… I guess it depends on levels.’
Ren inspected five crystals he had received from the five wolves. Unfortunately, his fascination with alchemy caused him to forget that the sun was setting.
“...Damn…”
He looked around and realised it was getting far too dark for his liking.
Thankfully, he got lightning magic to the rescue.
The teen quickly went to the closet tree and tried out his new strength. He pulled several branches off; it was quite easy as he yanked them off.
Then, he brought it to a single location, rendered it into smaller parts, and then used his lightning magic to start a fire.
After several tries, he got a proper fire burning, and a campfire was finished with a couple of modifications.
‘Now to get myself a proper seat.’ Ren complained to himself as he realised he had nowhere to sit close to the fire!
‘Hmm…’
His gaze went to the bones.
‘Oh… that could work…’
He quickly went over, grabbed several spine bones, and used his alchemy to make a weapon.
Bones melt and reform into a short blade. Ren then tried out using Lightning Magic to channel lightning through the blade.
Sounds of crackling lightning spread through the area as the blade was glowing with golden lightning.
A couple of swings later, Ren walked to the closest tree and tried to swing the short blade into the tree trunk.
The blade sunk in without much difficulty, but the issue came after when the bone-short sword got stuck in the trunk.
“...”
“Yeah…”
After several more tests with lightning magic, Ren was able to continue. He focused his lightning magic to boost cutting power on the weapon’s edge.
He ignored the pop-up notification as he wanted that tree down!
Eventually, the tree collapsed on the side, and Ren began to render the wood into smaller parts.
One of those will be his seat!
A couple more minutes later, he was done and prepared some wolf meat to cook.
“I would prefer a herbivore, but beggars can't be choosers.” Ren sighed as he stabbed the meat with a stick and placed it above the campfire.
He could finally check his skill level as the meat was getting roasted.
‘Yep… this is BS! The numbers went up, but nothing happened or improved! This is bullshit!’
If the progress continues like this, then the skill cap level will most likely be 100, and skills will improve when they reach a specific number.
‘Like a milestone.’
With that realisation, he dismissed the game windows and looked at the roasting meat.
A small grimace appeared on his face: roasted meat without spices? That is just…
“Ugh…”
