Business Tycoon in School c3

Raynor looked at the data in front of him. The wood carpeting company he has invested in will soon open. The news about him reached him quite late, meaning that most of the work was already finished by the time the interview happened.

Regardless, if his math is right with the percentage he owns, he should earn around 20 to 40 grand per month.

To increase his income, he needed to lower the prices of the wood they were buying. To do that, he started buying forests.

Considering that 40% of his nation is forests… well, that number is sharply falling.

He should buy those forests now instead of waiting.

After checking the map and the prices that follow, Raynor proceeded to send a message to his father and, at the same time, figure out about hiring foresters who could set up regrowing those trees.

He is planning to cycle the trees like they do with farmland.

The only difference is that farming land only takes a season or two, while trees take a lot of years.

But that is fine. At least he will set up an income source for his future generations.

After typing everything down on his phone, he sends a message to his father, who, by this point, is like his manager/legal advisor and has a bunch of other roles until he is of age.

Soon enough, his father replied to him.

[I thought we were saving money for that failing dairy company?] He replied a minute later.

[Already have set aside 500 grand.] Raynor replied as he looked at the numbers on the screen.

[That was quick! ’surprised emoji’]

[Apple revealed their iPhone. The stock increased by around 20%] Raynor explained the sharp income.

[Nice, though you should not spend all of that.] Roland, Raynor’s father, reminded him not to play with money like it's Lego.

[I didn’t. I already invested most of it to Apple again and set up to buy more when it inevitably falls…]

[Right…]

Raynor knows what that text means. It's not the first time he's cooked himself in stock, but it's fine! You live and learn!

After rolling his eyes, the teen proceeded to read some more on trees.

He needs to see if he can grow better ones, not just pines.

‘Wait.. what if they have berries and some other stuff like nuts in those forests!?’

His eyebrows went up as he found an opportunity for more cash!

~~~
After spending the whole afternoon on ‘doodling’. The evening arrived, and Raynor assisted his mother with some cooking.
“Oh, right, there will be a two-day trip to the seaside.”
“You will be going, right?” She asked with slightly narrowed eyes.
She doesn’t want him to ‘doodle’ another weekend and thinks of some more ways to make money. Honestly, it's all fine and great, but…
They don’t have enough people to make it all happen. It’s better if he acts like a normal teen once in a while.
“Yep. I got some ideas for that as well.”
Raynor imagined having Elenor for himself the whole two nights…
For that to happen, he needs to get a hotel and buy off most of the rooms. But that was not that expensive. He already checked out the hotels in that area.
They are going to the seaside way before the actual holiday season.
When it's off-season like this, the rents are cheap!
“Don’t overdo it!”
“I won’t! We're thinking of having a barbecue, and if the place we're staying is garbage, I can get a hotel or something.”
“Fine.”
~~~~~~Next Day~~~~~~

“Since last semester is coming, I decided to make some changes, " the homeroom teacher told her students.

She was a blonde lady with sharp glasses. Unlike his maths teacher, she is not as scary or anything, but she doesn’t like nonsense and sometimes pulls some weird stuff.

Like now…

“For this semester, I will arrange your seating. It will be boy and girl combos.”

‘Great… so now she decided to address the issue that we are a dysfunctional class.’ Internally, Raynor snorted. It has been three years since they became her students.

As she named who would sit in the leftmost row, everyone watched to see who would be sitting with whom.

Raynor noticed several gazes at him. He moved his head to the side and saw a couple of girls look away immediately.

Internally, he snorted, "How cute it was!" They all have ‘ideas’ but not ‘plans’. He remembered his uncle telling him about action instead of thoughts.

Well, he might have taken such advice too far, but yeah, it’s cute what they are thinking.

Eventually, he heard his name.

“Raynor and Amber, the first table is yours.”

‘Fuck!!! Why the front!’

Internally he was pissed! How is he going to ‘doodle’ if he has to sit next to the blackboard and the teacher can see everything?

Regardless, he noticed his deskmate as he got into his new seat.

His eyebrows slightly went up!

‘Damn…’

But then he took a breath and wondered what was up with this! He used to recall his homeroom teacher’s ‘pets’. Both of the girls used to sit together, but suddenly, this had happened.

‘Nah… unless I am thinking too much into this.’

The teen thought that the girl next to him went to the teacher and asked for such a ‘shuffle,’ but that's just nonsense.

They are sitting right next to the blackboard…

They can’t chat…

What is the point of such an arrangement? So yeah, he is thinking too much about this.

Besides, he used to sit just one table behind. He used to use Silvia and Amber for cover before!

They used to sit right in front of him, as he used to sit with Paul. But this is just the worst!

“...”

“...”

Raynor and Amber did not speak as they sat in their seats while the teacher placed the rest of them according to her fancy.

‘It's either case of nepotism or arbitrary as it comes.’ He sighed as he pulled out his doodling notebook and placed it under his regular school book.

He still needs to do some maths on trees…

Oh, and buy some trucks…

Check out the additional investments he will need to make in the failing dairy company, like more freezers and expansions. So far, it's just a simple milk processing facility; he needs to add stuff for cheese and creams.

Anyway… more doodling for him…

“The class is starting to pay attention.” The girl next to him slightly hissed.

Raynor rolled his eyes as he stopped and looked at the teacher, who was back in her seat.

The lady started with the trip he heard yesterday.

“Let’s get some things out of the way. In a month and a half—”

She went on about money for the trip they would need and how they would be seeing some sites.

Honestly, he forgot there are a couple of things to see, not just overpriced restaurants and the beach.

Like a museum, a super old lighthouse, and some other things.

Eventually, it came to the part about where they will be staying.

It was a cheap place with bunkbeds in each room. They will rent a couple of those rooms. In total, they will pay around 40 euros per person.

When Raynor heard that, he was surprised that it was that cheap, but a bunch of students sighed loudly, and some complained that it was expensive.

‘Hmm, now that I think about it, the last zoo trip was about 12 euros.’

After thinking for a bit, Raynor lifted his hand.

“Yes?”

“Leave the accommodation to me.” The teen said to his teacher.

“Are you sure?”

“Yep, I can get somewhere nice to stay, with breakfast included.”

“Hell yeah! Ray!” Some of the guys got excited about that.

“In that case, the trip’s price will drop to 24€…”

The teacher smiled as the teens mumbled around. This was more acceptable.

“I will assist him in arranging things,” Amber said after raising her hand.

“Do that.” The teacher happily agreed with that. Raynor slightly raised his eyebrow. His bullshit senses were tingling.

His suspicion returned with force.

‘Are they cooking something behind my back?’

“Are you okay with that?” The girl next to him asked.

“Sure.”

In the end, he agreed with her. She could do all the math, including how many rooms they would need, how many would come, and so on.

“Since this is out of the way, speak with your parents after the classes. Tomorrow, we can have a list, and Raynor can book the place where we will be staying.

We can arrange our visits to those locations depending on how it goes.”

As she said that the regular classes resumed.

~~~
With the bell ringing, the class finished, and everyone started to pack their things for the next one.
According to the schedule, it will be History, and that one is one of Raynor's favourites.
As one after another left the homeroom class, Raynor had an opportunity to speak with Elenor.
“You still haven’t given me your number.”
Her lips trembled as she realised that she had been caught. The girl was thinking the same thing. She realised that she fucked up, she wanted to chat with him.
One could say that after giving her virginity to him, she wants to speak with him more!
The girl didn’t realise yet but was digging a grave for herself.
One way or another, she is getting attached to him.
“Here.”
She gave him a small paper with her number on it.
Once that was out of the way, she walked out of the classroom.
Their short interaction was noticed by a certain girl who was paying attention to the pair.
A small, annoyed glint passed through her eyes as she went out of class after them.
It appears she needs to do more.
Raynor didn’t realise, but that single interview was like poking a hornet’s nest.
All sorts of things are happening he didn’t consider in and out of school.
As the students arrived at the History class, Raynor looked at the maps hanging all over the room. No matter how many times he sees them, he never gets enough of them.
He references historical events often when making certain decisions regarding the wealth he is trying to build.
One of the things he learned is resource management. This is the most glaring aspect of Napoleon's and Hitler's historical losses.
That is why he wants to secure raw resources first before spreading out.
As he was thinking about the importance of History, he ended up sitting in his regular chair.
For this class, he has the best spot at the back. From time to time, Paul would sit with him. But this time…
Once again…
“Can I sit with you?” Amber asked him, but she was already sitting in the free chair.
“...Any reason why?” Raynor asked her with a slightly concerned tone. The girl is acting way too strangely and out of character! In these two days, he spoke with her more than he did in the past seven years!
“...hmm… Still need to think for a proper answer.” She sort of replied to him. There is no way she will tell him that she is jealous! That’s just not her!
“...Right…” He rolled his eyes at that response as he pulled out his doodling notebook and returned to do some maths on his future Dairy products.
He includes the percentages he will need to pay for taxes, farmers, workers, and the financed vehicles he will have.
However, he did realise that he would need to buy more machinery for the dairy products.
His doodling is like painting. In a sense, one da,y he addresses one thing. Next, he adds another.
One by one, it all comes together. He has been doing this for years.
Where one paints stuff through boring classes, Raynor does his things.
