Raynor was having a great time! He was able to persuade the five people working in his house to join him in this business venture.

He needs only to wire some money to their bank accounts so that they can get licenses as electricians, plumbers, and some of the construction site managers.

Obviously, they didn’t believe it until they saw thousands in their bank accounts.

That made them realise that the kid was serious about his plans for land development.

Realising that quite a bit of money was rolling their way, they all got excited.

This was the beginning, and the foundations were laid to become the bedrock for Valeron Group.

The plan for Raynor is very simple: he is trying to cut down his future expanses in land development. If he were to hire plumbers and electricians, he would need to pay their companies each time there is an issue. So he would rather have those of his own.

That is why he is investing in people who he knows work well.

Like the five his father hired through his connections.

He watched them work for several weeks, doing everything from carpeting to bricklaying to metalwork.

Because of such work ethic, he decided to give them an opportunity to earn more and get more qualifications.

Obviously, he reflected that he would need to have an academy of his own if he wanted to have more people who would work for him.

He realised he would spend around 30 grand on all five of them.

He wants them to know everything. In the long term, it makes perfect sense for him to have an academy of his own, which could train workers and, at the same time, earn more cash by helping others who want those qualifications.

‘Hmm, something for future reference.’

Raynor wrote it down in his notebook.

“...You can’t just stay put…” Roland, Raynor’s father, walked in. He dropped onto the sofa and spread his hands through the top of it. The older Valeron sighed loudly.

“I saw the plans. It's a great idea; land development is one of the most common things. However, you couldn’t wait until we were done with the Dairy company this summer?” the man complained to his son.

He knows it sounds easy on paper, but there are a bunch of hoops to jump through before everything is done.

“I know. I just set things in motion. We only got land acquired. We could start with development next summer.”

“...Yeah, yeah… I think I need to hire an assistant or something. You just keep on putting more stuff on my plate.”

His father complained some more before standing up and returning to the kitchen. 

He needs some beer.

Raynor arrived at the homeroom. His eyes perked up as he saw that the teacher was already there. He won’t need to wait for her to come later.

“Morning.” As he greeted his classmates, everyone greeted him back.

Over a single event, he became friends with everyone. Internally, he sighed as he both liked and disliked the whole ‘nice’ behaviour everyone was showing him.

The teen walked over to his homeroom teacher and gave her the report.

“The hotel is booked so that we will have the whole thing for ourselves for two days, " he explained in a simple tone.

“Whole…hotel?” 

“Yep, with how many go, there is no point in allowing anyone else to book, so I took the whole thing. We will have saunas, an indoor swimming pool, and a Swedish-style buffet.” He explained in detail.

“...how much it cost?” 

She asked with some concern.

“Just under 24 grand. They gave me a discount as I am considering visiting that place again this summer.” He gave her a businessman smile. He is glad that he was able to get a discount worth 5 grand!

‘He just spent my whole year's salary on this!’ The woman was slightly spooked.

“Damn! That is so cool! Did you hear that, guys!?” 

While the teacher was out of words, the rest of the boys didn’t care. They all gushed at the idea of swimming pool action and ate until they passed out.

They don’t need much to be satisfied.

“...Are you sure it's fine?” The woman asked with a nervous tone. She doesn’t want to get a call from his parents about such a waste of money!

“Don’t worry about the details. The only issue we should worry about is the weather in early June, " he said with a sigh. He recalled that the beginning of summer can be 50/50. It could rain or be windy, but it's too cold to swim in the Baltic Sea. And he is far too' thin-skinned' for below-average water temperature.

“That reminds me, since I took the whole hotel, there are still around 20 spots free. I guess some adults can come along.” Raynor added two more bits before going to his seat next to Amber.

The brown-haired girl slightly leaned towards him and asked with a somewhat concerned tone.

“I am pretty sure the bill will be below 20 thousand.” She whispered.

“Yes, but then I decided to book the whole hotel. I don’t want unfamiliar faces, " he said with a small frown.

“I am pretty sure the other two classes are quite ‘unfamiliar’.” She pointed out the obvious.

“Yeah, but they are acceptable at that specific time. We are going for a ‘trip’, so I can accept some of the unfamiliarity for the sake of the trip.”

Sigh

“It sounds more like an excuse than anything.” The girl realised that he was bullshiting with her.

“Nah, it's called making friends in the right places.” He smiled at her.

“I booked the whole place so that I could get closer to the managers over there. Since I plan to get back to that hotel.” There was a huge smile on his lips.

“...I see…” 

‘Even now, he is thinking about how to build some sort of connections.’

She was both impressed and slightly concerned that he was using the whole situation to improve what he wanted.

As the pair were talking, the boys and the girls talked about the trip.

Raynor’s actions have impressed the bunch. They didn’t expect such a treatment for the trip.

“He is not that bad,” Evelyn told Aila while Elenor looked somewhat annoyed. She saw Amber’s shoulder touching Raynor’s as the pair talked about something she couldn’t make out.

The whole thing is pissing her off.

‘Well, since he rented the whole thing, he will undoubtedly take a VIP suit for himself. I can get some quality time with him there.’

The short brown-haired girl thought to herself as she was thinking about their next ‘adventure’. 

She is somewhat dissapointed that he didn’t call or message her last day.

Elenor didn’t realise, but Raynor didn’t even think about her. He was much more interested in spending time with Amber, and after that, he needed to set things in motion for land development.

There was no time to think about his ‘relief’ tool.

“I think it's Raynor,” Aila said to Evelyn as she saw how Elenor would write something on her phone, and then, within a few moments, Raynor would check his phone.

“...You serious?” 

“...Did you hear how much he spent on renting the whole hotel? It’s more than my dad’s entire year’s salary!” Aila reminded her.

“So it's not strange that he gives money to Elenor.” She pointed out the possibility.

“...I guess.” 

The taller girl pondered this, as for the rest of the day, she watched Elenor out of sheer curiosity. 

She noticed the same thing, especially her jealousy when he interacted with one of the class reps. The tall girl has braided dark brown hair.

Evelyn doesn’t like Amber that much. To her, the fellow with brown hair is too much of a goody-two-shoes and far too much of a hardcore teacher’s pet.

After confirming what Aila said, she now wants to understand what is going on.

Why did Elenor get that much money from him?

Honestly, she can’t think of anything except the lewd stuff.

‘But would Elenor do that?’

“Hey, Raynor, can we speak with you for a bit?” Evelyn and Aila approached the teen who was leaving the classroom.

“...Hmm? Sure, what is it?” 

The tall girl motioned for him to walk with them.

As they walked away, the pair of girls proceeded to speak.

“Are you the one who gave Elenor her money?”

He looked confused for a second.

“And why would I know about her’s monetary situation?” He replied to Evelyn’s question.

“You are the only one who could give her that much cash.” Aila pointed out.

“Okay? And how would I do that? I haven’t spoken to her in a while. Do you assume I sent a post to her? I have other things to do. For example, making more money.” He clarified with a shrug.

“...You do know that you are the only one who could give her money and gifts…” Evelyn said with a frown. She didn’t think he could resist them like that. There was more to this dork than she thought.

Sigh

“If you care so much about her wealth, then go and speak with her, " he pointed out in an annoyed tone.

“We are only concerned about her wellbeing.” Aila chipped in as she slowly got annoyed with this ‘dead end’.

“If you think so.” He shrugged before starting to walk away.

“...What did she do?” Evelyn asked him as she grabbed his shoulder.

He stopped walking while slowly turning around to look at her.

“Hmm? Oh, are you jealous?” Raynor asked as he raised his eyebrow.

The girl immediately let his shoulder go.

“...”

“...”

“Ask the one who gets ‘gifts’ as you said. Maybe she will clarify.” 

After saying that, he waved his hand and walked away.

“Damn him…” Evelyn frowned as she looked at him, walking away.

“...Never thought he could be like that,” Aila said with a surprised tone.

“...Pretty sure he was acting like a dork for some reason.” The taller girl realised that he was acting like that before because it was fun or he was using a school as a place to chill out.

Now that she thinks about it… it makes sense. The guy has money; he is self-made, so a school diploma means nothing to him.

‘And I felt for that!’

The more she thought about that, the more annoyed she became.

With a huff, she walked away to the next class. Aila went with her, as they all had the same class.

Once in class, she saw that Amber was sitting next to Raynor, even in physics, history, maths, and language classes. That girl is just claiming areas around him like crazy!

Evelyn realised that she was quite blind. She could see that quite a few girls were aiming for him!

Her gaze scanned the surroundings. She can count several who are dropping their gazes at him.

The realisation of her shortcomings made her even more annoyed.

Regardless, she walked over and sat down in her seat.

In front of her was Elenor, who was swirling her pen while using her other hand to hold her cheek. From the looks of it, she was thinking about something.

“...so what did you offer to Raynor,” Evelyn asked the girl in front of her.

“Hmm?”

Hearing his name made Elenor swiftly turn around. That was enough for the taller hair braided girl.

There was a smile on her face as the shorter girl realised that she was caught.

“...So~”

“...What?” 

“Tell us~”

“...and do you think he will give you money the same way he gives me? If you want something, ask yourself.” After saying that, she turned back to face the blackboard.

The reply annoyed Evelyn as she realised she was right… so what if she knew the truth?

And if it's lewd stuff… would she do it? 

The short answer is no.

The girl has far too much pride.

But that feeling of that much wealth being close by makes that strange feeling grow inside.
