Business Tycoon in a School c6

Raynor swiftly went through his routines the moment his computer was on.

But then he saw that his guest had nowhere to sit, so he quickly went to get her a chair.

“Here you go.” He placed it next to his and in front of the computer.

“Thanks.”

The girl thanked him before pulling out her notebook and going through the pages before she found what she was looking for.

While she was doing that, Raynor checked the stock market and then the interest he was getting on his savings.

Eventually, he got to the booking sites and started exploring the hotels.

After finding her notes, the girl looked at what he was doing and was somewhat surprised at how swiftly he was going through the material.

It was obvious that this was not his first, third, or even fifth time booking a hotel…

“Well, I found some…” He said to her as he started to look at the accommodations.

“...Oh, you can rent Water Motorbikes…” He looked at the attractions the place has.

“Turkish, Finnish, Russian styles of Saunas, that's not bad. I haven’t seen all three of them in a single place.” Raynor sounded surprised for a second as he looked at the perks.

He bookmarked the hotel for the future.

The girl next to him slightly rolled her eyes. Instead of thinking about prices, he only cares about the perks.

“Anyway, I can’t see the hotel's capacity so I will email them. Do you have a specific number of people?” he asked her, and he, copied the email address and immediately went to write an email.

His fingers danced through the keyboard as he swiftly introduced himself in the email and then explained what he wanted before stopping and waiting for her response.

“...Right now, it's 55 to 62 people. We might get concrete numbers tomorrow, " she said to him as she read what he typed on the screen.

“I see, then I shall go with this.” He wanted to know if they could find him a place for 60 people.

She slowly nodded. Having a round number makes it look more…solid.

“Yes, it looks good.”

After going through a couple more details, Raynor went to check some more pictures before stopping at one and just looking at it with a more spacey look.

‘House next to trees… forest! … lake!?’

His eyes widened!

‘The service sector! Of course! Fuck my slow brain!’

He moved his mouse sharply to his finances hub and downloaded the latest prices on the lands.

Raynor needed to check if the prices were still around the same as he remembered from a couple of months ago.

His PC rapidly loaded pictures of maps of the area around his town. To the right of his town, no less than twenty kilometres, there are at least three freshwater lakes, and even more so further east towards the border of Belarus.

The whole area is dotted by freshwater lakes, which were created during the last ice age when icebergs were receding.

His eyes sparkled when he saw that prices were still dirt cheap around the lake he was interested in.

It was around five kilometres away from the closest livable village, which doesn’t look to have more than 100 to 200 people.

There is nothing there to speak of.

To check more, he checked Google Maps. All he could see was a gravel road going some distance from the lake.

There is no infrastructure to speak of. It's one of the reasons why it's that cheap.

He will need to develop the area. Build pipes, electricity cables, and all of that stuff.

That is why it's so cheap. He will be spending hundreds of thousands.

But that is fine. It will pay off in a few years.

“Umm…”

“Sorry, I just got an amazing idea.” He remembered that he was not alone.

“...Are you planning to buy land around lakes?” she asked him as she saw black-and-white pictures of a map showing lands split into equal-sized territories around lakes.

“Yep! The idea is that, at the moment, they cost dirt cheap!” He pointed at the land in the north of the closet village.

“See, that place is only 5 grand! But it is prime estate, no matter how you look at it. It's next to a freshwater lake. Imagine if you invest around 200 grand, you can sell it later, at least a million!”

He excitedly said to her, but the girl could only show a forced smile.

The numbers he is talking about are foreign to her…

“Regardless, give me a couple of moments.”

Raynor checked his bank account.

The girl saw that he had one account in a Scandinavian bank, and one was deuche… which sounds German…

But he checked the one in the local bank, which had 84 thousand.

Amber eyes stayed on the name of the account…

It said ‘pocket money’.

‘That is his casual spending money!? Are you kidding me!?’

She heard him hum for a bit before he went to the stock market and went through quite a long list of stocks. She can see a long list of numbers with familiar and not company names.

The girl saw him stop on one which only had 5% in the green.

From her basic understanding, this stock only grew 5%, but with the amount he had, the money he would get was considerable.

Then she saw him casually sell it and select the bank to which the money would be wired too.

Just like that, after a few moments, she saw him check his ‘pocket money,’ which was now more than 250 thousand.

“Should be enough…”

He mumbled to himself as he copied another email address and started typing about buying lots of land.

Groan

Amber heard a groan behind her.

She turned around and saw Raynor's mother massaging her forehead.

“Did he get another idea?” she asked as the lady placed tea and biscuits on the coffee table in Raynor’s room.

“...I think…?”

“Yep! And it's going to be a blast! I am going to buy an entire lake! Or several lakes!” Raynor replied excitedly.

“...But?”

“Well, there is nothing there. We will need to install electricity and water, but once we do that, the price of land will skyrocket.

We can buy summer homes for sale and other stuff.”

“...and who will build it? Maintain it?” His mother asked with a frustrated sigh.

Amber realised that this was not the first time; from the looks of it, they had gotten used to it.

“We will make a construction company! I already have some ideas!

I need to speak with guys who are working on our house~.”

Raynor swiftly pulled out his phone and sent a message to his father.

“You can do that later.” She said with narrowed eyes. The teen swiftly caved in.

He knows that he has a guest, and that is why he has already done the most important part.

The teen sends enquiries on the land he wants to buy.

Raynor will buy as much as he can at once because if he buys one by one, the price will go u,p and he will spend more than necessary.

“I know.”

He motioned for her to relax.

“Good. Now relax.”

After saying that, she left the pair alone.

“Sheesh… I only want to capitalise on great opportunities,” Raynor said to Amber as he went over to pick his tea.

“Sugar?” He asked the girl as he proceeded to put some sugar into his tea.

“Yes, one spoon, please.” The girl nodded before asking.

“So what is the opportunity?”

“Well, it has been around five years since we joined the EU. A bunch of people have used that as an opportunity to get rich. I am no different, so think about that.

Once you spend around 10 years abroad building up your wealth and return home, what do you do with that money?” he asked her as he placed one spoonful of sugar into her tea. After swirling with the spoon and pulling it out, he handed the tea over to her.

“...You buy a house?” She replied after thinking for a bit.

“Indeed! But it's not just that I won’t be building simple houses; these will be summer homes. I will build several for rent, and it will be long-term income as well, " he said with a small smirk.

“Think of it as passive income for my kids in future.” He said with a shrug. He then took a sip.

Her eyes slightly widened when she heard that.

‘Did my heart just skip a bit?’

The girl gulped down as she was feeling hot, and it was not the tea she just had!

“I see…how did you come up with that.”

To answer her question, he pointed at the hotel picture. It showed a tree next to the three-storey building.

“I came up with this after realising that ‘resorts’ are not the only solution.

There are not just sea sites but mountains and forest lodges.” He clarified that as it looked, she was more confused than anything after seeing the picture.

“...Oh…”

‘His mind works on different gear…’

She realised that he was looking at everything and trying to turn it into some sort of business or profit…

“Anyway, do we still need to do anything?” He asked her, but she shook her head.

“Nope. We could do our homework.” She shook her head before realising that there was no reason to stay around, but she swiftly came up with a solution! Homework!

“...Okay.” He sounded much more restrained after hearing that.

~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~
“The treat is on me,” Elenor said to her two friends, who had nagged her about not being around for a few days.
“Oh, someone is rich.” Evelyn joked as she checked the menu in the coffee shop in the town centre.
“...Not really.” The girl recalled certain someone before looking at her other friend.
“Just order something, Aila.”
“...Fine…”
The girl sat down at the table next to the window, overlooking the old cobbled street and the World War 2 memorial in the distance.
“So what happened? You look tired?” Aila asked as she saw the prices. The girl grimaced, but she decided to go with a pastry and tea since someone was treating her.
“...I have something going on. So I will be busy at random days.”
“...Oh? It’s a job?” Evelyn looked curious. She wondered if she could join as well. Having spare money is something one should always have.
“Something like that. Don’t ask for details, I can’t explain.”
The dark brown-haired girl said while looking away.
“Hmm…”
“...”
The pair didn’t look convinced and decided to figure out what it was. Such stuff doesn’t happen randomly. One doesn’t simply pay a girl for some sort of job on random days.
‘Did she find some rich guy?’ It was the only solution, but who is the rich guy?
They pondered on that.
For a moment, they imagined it was Raynor, but the guy is a dork… would he do anything to Elenor? He doesn’t look like a pervert.
Honestly, they were at a loss. And very interested in what she is doing.
After a few minutes, they got their coffee and tea with pastries.
The girl talked about random stuff later on.
However, Elenor swiftly explained that she couldn’t hang out with them.
Which confused them more AND, at the same time, confirmed some of their ideas!
The girl hangs out with a rich guy! He didn’t make her his girlfriend, but that is what Elenor is gunning for! That means she can’t be seen hanging out with boys!
It made total sense!
At least in Evelyn's eyes. A small grin popped on the girl’s lips.
“So who is it? Which guy you are gunning for? Does he have friends? I want to meet him as well.” The girl gently elbowed her friend.
“...It’s not like that.” Elenor looked away in annoyance. She didn’t think that she would be seen through that easily!
‘I should have stayed quiet! Damn it all.’
“But it is. You hanging out with him, the guy casually gives you money~ even buys you gifts.” Evelyn reasoned as she recalled the expensive perfumes.
“...ugh…”
