The Games We Play -Shaman c55
Added 2025-03-13 19:59:31 +0000 UTCRaynor didn’t hunt for more as the sun was setting, and he needed to return to the castle.
However, his Goddess Wife had other ideas.
“We should spend the night here~.” Skadi’s tone suggested something more as she leaned into his hand.
“Oh? Are you sure? Because tomorrow you will need to walk all that distance.” He teased her, making the black haired Goddess frown.
“Are you challenging my durability?” She asked with narrowed eyes.
“Does it sound like a challenge? I thought it was a fact that I knocked you out in the bed.” He pointed out.
“...Hmph! Let’s try then.” Skadi wanted some quality time, but now her competitive spirit has awakened, and she needs to show him that she is not made from ice!
“Hahaha, sure~...”
Raynor changed the direction he was walking as he decided to set camp at the location where his birds had been found when they were mapping out the island.
~~~~~~Next Morning~~~~~~
“This proves nothing! You are invigorating yourself with souls!” The Jotun Goddess, who woke up after being knocked out last night, complained about how much Raynor is cheating!
It was not fair to use souls to make himself return to peak condition.
She had noticed something off a while ago, and now she understood what he was doing! It was insane. Why can’t he accept defeat even once?
“I am a Shaman and a Hunter; I use tools to fight. Conquered souls are tools. It’s the same way you abuse your Jotun constitution.” Raynor shrugged at her outburst.
Skadi mumbled under her breath as she tried to move, but her legs were out of commission!
The Shaman smirked at her. While she was strong and resisted for hours, he was able to beat her after burning 40 souls.
In other words, her endurance is around 40 times that of a High Class being.
Which is impressive, to say the least.
“I did realise something.” Instead of trying to move out of the bed inside his hunter’s tent, the beauty began to talk.
“You said you increased the fertility of that boar through that carving magic.
Does that mean you can control fertility?” Skadi asked him, as she realised that none of her tricks were working, so either it doesn’t work because she is a Jotun and he is a human, or it's some sort of machination from him!
“Oh? So you noticed?” Raynor grinned; his reply was almost a joking one.
“...”
Skadi huffed as she was annoyed!
“Girls who try to gain control through that method won’t achieve their goal~.” Raynor shook his head in amusement as he knew her trick the whole time.
The Jotun Goddess sighed as she realised that she had been played. It appears her plot to capitalise on him for herself was a burst.
“Still, you made me my wife, and I need to do my duties.” The black-haired beauty spoke in a resigned tone. Now, she wonders when she will be able to get pregnant.
“There is more to being wife than giving kids… kids is such a basic thing that any girl can give it to me.” Raynor scoffed; he didn’t see the fascination about them.
“For one, our kids will be demigods.” Skadi began to count on her fingers. “Second, they will be talented hunters. Third, children are the best followers. I still don’t know why you are so against it.”
The black haired beauty named all the perks before ending with a sigh.
“It's not that I'm against it; once circumstances end, it will be a different thing altogether.” The Shaman smirked for a bit before he walked over to her and began to dress her up.
Since his poor Goddess is a disabled person at the moment, she needs help…
Skadi began to blush as she realised what was happening. He was dressing her up, and that made her blush from embarrassment.
For a moment, she tried to resist, but it was useless as he kept trying, so she ended up giving up midway.
Raynor ended up dressing her up and then began to dismantle the tent.
However…
Dogo looked meekly at him, asking for food!
“For love of nature! You useless mutt! You didn’t do shit and now you want food?” The Shaman complained for a second, but those teary eyes of his dog made him cave in and drop a slap of meat.
As the wolf was eating, Raynor finished collecting the tent. What was left for the last was the bed and his Goddess wife on top of it.
The Wolf King walked over to the bed and offered his back for his Jotun Goddess. The black haired beauty looked at it.
She wanted to complain but then she realised something… what if she stopped resisting all the time?
‘That could work.’
With a small smile on her lips, she came up with a new solution.
The Goddess ended up on his back, wrapped her hands around his neck, Raynor ended up grabbing her bum with one hand and used the other to pull the bed into the inventory before they began to walk towards the Castle.
~~~
Hours later, they arrived at the castle. There were small camps around the keep.
It looks like Velaryons and Celtigar troops arrived at some point yesterday.
That means that they can finally leave for the expedition.
“It appears your troops have arrived,” Skadi commented, as by this point, she had gotten used to being carried by him.
“Indeed. After eating, we can leave.” He replied.
“You want me to come with you?” She asked curiously.
“Of course. Having Goddess with me all the time is like a lucky charm.” Raynor replied in an obvious tone. Why is she even asking?
“Hmm, if you say so,” Skadi commented back. If this were the case, she would use the opportunities he presented to her.
In the end, she will get what she wants.
The pair walked into the keep, where the maids quickly greeted them. Then, the guests were promptly called alongside the girls.
“My Lord, we have gathered close to a hundred people. I hope it will be enough.” Lord Velaryon gave his report to him.
“It will be enough; I am certain we can gather more along the way if need be, " the shaman, who had returned to his throne, replied.
“Of course, with your reputation and influence, many would like to join you.”
The pair of lords were certain that his reputation was something very few could ignore.
“Depends, many of them believe that I practise witchcraft.” Raynor nonchalantly shrugged.
“So they can rebel from sheer fright.”
The pair of Lords stiffly nodded. He was right. Even now, the pair of them are a bit afraid because of the wolf next to their Lord.
They would ignore it if not for the fact that the wolf was grinning at them and looking at them like they were slabs of meat.
“That is a possibility, but that is why we have our men that will help you.” Lord Velaryon reassured. Well, more like he tried to reassure himself.
“Good, we are leaving tomorrow. Make sure they all have everything they need.” Raynor replied, then looked at his Castellan.
“I brought weapons from my conquest in Pentos. Let’s see if they can be of some use.
Bring me several tables.”
“Of course, one moment, My Lord.”
As the Castellan ordered some tables to be brought, Raynor was checking his inventory. He didn’t collect armour, only swords.
He has some use for steel weapons, but apart from that, he has nothing else to give away.
Well, he could use gold to hire more blacksmiths to improve the overall quality of his household guards.
A couple of minutes later, the guards brought tables in, and Raynor pulled out sword after sword and laid them on the table.
The longer this lasted, the more dumbfounded were the pair of Lords.
“Give them to the ones who don’t have. The more armed my force is, the better their chances of surviving encounters with the enemies.” The Wolf King explained as the tables were full of castle-forged steel swords.
“C-Certainly, My Lord.” Now, they wondered what else this guy had. Since he raided one of the Free Cities…
Does it mean he has all of the wealth of a city with him!? At all times!? That is… something their mind can’t comprehend. How does this even work? What kind of witchcraft is this!?
As the pair were trying to get their bearings together, Sona and Rias had their chance to talk with him.
“Ray, would be possible to bring our Peerages with us?” Rias, who was feeling a bit more confident around him, felt that it was time for her peerage members to experience isekai!
While Sona wanted to experience a way more brutal society and get some blood on their hands.
“Hmm, I could allow it, but you two will be responsible for what they do.
If what you two said is true, then they could die in this place.
“Even a stray arrow could kill them.” He reminded them about how mortal they are.
“I understand, but I can’t leave them alone for days to come. I — we are still kings of our peerages.” Sona countered. Rias was feeling the same thing.
She can’t leave them behind for that long.
“I think the same thing.” The crimson-haired girl added with a nod.
“In that case, we can make a short visit back to Earth,” Raynor replied as he looked at Skadi.
“Don’t worry about me. I will go rest.” The Goddess waved her hand dismissively as she began to walk towards the Lord’s bedroom. She wants to sleep and get the tiredness over.
“Sure, in that case, we can return to Earth for a bit.” The Shaman nodded at his tired wife as he went over to Rias and Sona. He wrapped his hands around their waist.
The pair of them had different expressions to his actions. Rias smiled while Sona blushed at his actions.
“I will return in several hours, at worst tomorrow morning.” He said that to the pair of Lords, who wondered what he was talking about!
But then they saw it! He was gone! Just like that! There was no sound or indication of what was to happen; he simply vanished!
As the Lords were baffled, the silver-haired maid at the back frowned, seeing how effortlessly Raynor could move in and out.
Not a surprise how quickly he was able to kidnap her. Now the question is, will Sona or Rias tell anyone about her?
~~~
The trio reappeared outside the SPA in Japan. Sona and Rias looked around. It was a familiar sight.
“This is good. I can take us to Kouh.” The Sitri Heiress pushed her glasses up as she could teleport them.
“Great, then do so.”
Raynor nodded at her suggestion, and seconds later, a blue Sitri circle appeared underneath their feet.
With a burst of light, they were in a European-style room. Everything, from windows to furniture, looked proper Western-style from the early 20th century, something akin to classic Victorian style.
“You said Japan, but this European…” Raynor, while he knew what was going on, pretended not to know how to play his part.
“The place was built according to devil aesthetic. You have already been to my home. So you already know.” Sona explained herself.
“I thought you were playing along, Sona. Pretending to be transfer student and accepting Japanese culture.” Raynor joked. The longer he commented, the more Sona was self-aware of what she lacked in the whole cultural exchange.
“I-I know! Okay? I am here to train my skills and study! You should ask Rias about that! She is the one who is obsessed with this culture!” The black-haired Heiress complained and threw Rias under the bus with her comments, making the crimson-haired Heiress embarrassed as well!
“Oh, so does Rias have a Japanese-style home?” He asked her instead.
“...Umm…”
The girl looked away.
“So you don’t either.” Raynor sighed in faked disappointment.
“I do live in the clubhouse. So…it partially counts!” Rias tried to salvage it.
“I guess… anyway, collect your peerages and other stuff you need. In the meantime, I will for you two here.” The Shaman waived them off as he walked over to the living room and dropped on the couch.
Then, out of nowhere, a grey wolf appeared. It was quite big, and this wolf had the aura of a predator, a man-eating canine.
This was Ray’s second Alpha wolf, Phobos.
The wolf ended up placing his head on the Wolf King’s lap while the Shaman began to stroke it.
In his hands, this wolf was nothing more than a domesticated puppy…
“Right…I will need to call the cleaners, as these guys will leave quite a bit of hair.” Sona massaged her forehead as she saw what was happening in her living room.
“Can’t you just call your maids?” Rias commented with a raised eyebrow.
“That is exactly what I mean.”
“Okay.” With that, Rias was gone in a crimson circle; she went to the Underworld to see Akeno.
While Sona went to her office as her peerage is in the human world.
The girl pondered her recent experience as she walked through her house and into her office, closing the doors behind her.
She strolled to her office chair and sat down.
For a few moments, she organised her thoughts and then used her magic to send a message to her Peerage.
Sure enough, her girls were surprised to hear she wanted to meet!
Part of the Sitri Heiress is a bit pained to hear how surprised her girls are. It just tells how much she was neglecting them.
Regardless, they quickly started to gather, blue circles one after another appearing in her office.
Girls, one after another, kept popping in.
“Lady Sona!” One of the girls with a katana on her hip exclaimed with happiness to see her King.
“Lady Sona.”
“Lady Sitri.”
Girls either call her by her surname or name, depending on how long they have known her. This was a strange custom to her, but at some point, she would get used to it.
“It's a good thing that you all answered my call this quickly,” Sona began, placing her hands on the table. Her fingers intertwined, she looked like a scheming devil.
“Is it related to your Fiance?” A silver-haired girl with considerable burst asked her. This was her Bishop, Momo, one of oldest members of her peerage.
“Yes, you see, he has the ability to travel between worlds, and I was with him in a perpetual Medieval World with esoteric magic permeating the place.
I do believe it's time that you all get used to the idea of fighting, and if necessary, fighting people who don’t mind killing you. or worse.” Sona’s last hard a quite the deep meaning as they all paled for a second.
“Won’t it be easy with our powers?” One of them, a rook, said with a frown. She felt this was an abuse of power, and she had conflicting emotions regarding it.
“You shouldn’t worry about this, as the world we are going strong reigns supreme, and it's a moral grey world.
You should get used to such a thing so that your future enemies won’t be able to use your good intentions.”
Sona clarified.
“Besides, you all will have a chance to learn arts like Shamanism, nature magic and other obscure magic arts that are rare in our world.”
The girls perked up at such an idea! Rare magic is almost like bloodline magic! It's unique!
“There is more, is there?” Her Queen asked, sensing that she was not telling them something important.
“...In a way…” Sona frowned as she didn’t know how to explain.
“Raynor has collected quite a harem and even performed ritualistic magic with one of the Norse Goddesses.”
The group of girls looked baffled to hear that! They recalled how Sona said that she wouldn’t agree to be in a Harem, but somehow, this situation devolved like this!
“I may require assistance from you all.”
“...”
“...”
“...”
The group of girls were speechless when they heard that! Well, they did sell themselves to a devil, a Sitri no less, so…
“...I-If this is the case, then we need to hear more about this.” Momo was the first to comment, as she felt that the silence was suffocating.
“I will explain to the best of my ability.” Sona nodded as she tried to be as logical as possible, but it was becoming difficult.
~~~~~~Meanwhile, with Rias~~~~~~
“Rias!” Venelana was the first one to greet her only daughter. She quickly hugged her, as she didn’t want to let go of her.
“Mother! I can’t breathe!” The crimson-haired girl pulled out her hands.
To think that someone could almost choke her with breasts! This should be illegal!
“Oh, sorry. Tell me where you been!?”
The brown haired Lady Gremory asked as she was nervous about her rebellious daughter.
“In another world! It's a real Isekai world! It's a Medieval world with dragons and knights! Like in the light novels! Raynor took us there. He is preparing for an invasion, so I am thinking that it's a great chance for my peerage to experience real war!” The Gremory Heiress explained in a giddy voice.
‘Another world… hmm…’
“Does it mean he can travel between those worlds effortlessly?” Venelana all of sudden asked, very curious about it.
“In a way? I guess? Regardless, I will be going there soon.” Rias turned around and began to walk towards her room.
“...Did you hear anything about Grayfia?” the brown-haired Lady Gremory asked suddenly, and her question surprised the crimson-haired Heiress.
She stood there for a second before smoothly replying to her.
“All I saw was Serafall Leviathan working as a plumper. Nothing about Sister-in-Law.” Rias specifically mentioned ‘Sister-in-Law’ and not Grayfia. After all, she doesn’t have a sister-in-law anymore.
After saying that, she walked away, but this was enough for Venelana.
“Before you go, where can I find Raynor Valeron?” She enquired before her daughter left.
“At the moment, in the human world, at Sona’s place in Kuoh.” With that said, Venelana knew where to go.
