The pair of girls looked at the slowly growing extension to the hut.

The walls were around a metre tall, still growing and slowly becoming dark grey. It would seem that by the time it was done, the walls would look like they were made from stone.

What intrigued them was one of the rooms that had a yellow, almost golden glowing circle.

“What is this array? I guess it’s what is building the house?” Qin Xingxuan asked as she, alongside Lin Fengyuan, was exploring their new soon-to-be house.

“More than that. You see, cultivating with just the pills is counterproductive, so I am making a True Essence Gathering Array.

It gathers Qi from around this area in this single spot. It purifies and makes it thicker, perfect for Cultivation.” 

The girls’ eyes widened. They looked at him with a bit of disbelief. They were getting used to his crazy, but what they had just heard made them realise that he could turn any area into a cultivation hotspot!

‘If-If this is true, then I am more than sure that he will be able to reach Xiantian!’ Qin Xingxuan, that moment… fell for him again! Before this, she found his bragging a bit cute and never truly took it THAT seriously.

But it changed! Today, she saw his true might, and now she saw his resourcefulness. 

She is certain that Xiantian is not a myth but just a pit stop for him.

The same is true for Lin Fengyuan. The girl is thinking about how to introduce him to her family. She needs to show him the hospitality of her Green Mulberry City!

“Anyway, I have to set a couple more things before we can start preparing for that celebratory dinner~.” Xiao Tian Long happily reminded them about that barbecue!

“Okay, let us help you this time, properly.” Lin Fengyun nodded as she smiled back. This time, she wants to be there for all of the steps!

Qin Xingxuan nodded seriously. She wants to be useful, too!

“Sure, let me just add a couple more things to the array.” He nodded at their enthusiasm before walking towards the array in the new centre of his soon-to-be house.

He undid the seal as the circle instantly expanded, countless symbols appeared and he then began to add more symbols.

‘This is similar to inscriptions, only the scale is far greater.’ Qin Xingxuan realised that quickly after seeing the seal being undone!

It was the exact same thing! But the purpose is a bit different.

‘If I continue to practise Inscriptions, I could eventually learn arrays?’ Such a realisation made her gush with excitement! Could she be like those Xiantian Masters who build the arrays in the Seven Profound Valley Martial House?

It makes her want to return to practising already!

As Xiao Tian Long finished with the alterations, he pulled out two Essence Stones and crushed them. The essence surged into the array, and it glowed brighter.

Lin Fengyuan's eyes widened. He had just crushed two months' worth of Essence Stones! Well, at least for her, it's two months, as she would only get one per month.

‘He broke it so casually!’ Part of her heart was bleeding, but then again, he is getting 10 times more stones.

“And done. We can get back to cooking food," He told the pair as the array circle compressed back into a much smaller circle.

“What did you add to the array?” Qin Xingxuan asked him curiously. Those two Essence Stones are quite valuable.

“Terrace.”

For a second, the girl was confused by the reply. What does he mean by that?

“Terrace? Where?” 

Instead of saying anything, he motioned for them to follow him. 

The pair of girls followed him. They left the central room, passed a couple of spare ones, and exited outside.

What they saw was not dirt or grass but a platform rising from the ground. It aligned with the house foundations.

“Oh… you added more foundations.” The Marshal’s granddaughter realised what it was.

“Yes, this is a terrace or will eventually be one.” He nodded as he began to pull out two tables, chairs and the grill.

“Let’s start.” He then pulled out cutlery and bowls, and lastly, the products.

The girls perked up seeing all that food! All of the products emit potent Qi. They can’t wait to eat this again! It was not only delicious, but it can increase their cultivation.

Soon enough, Xiao Tian Long began to instruct, and the girls threw themselves into cooking. This was the first time that the pair had properly cooked, as both of them were geniuses in their respective homes.

Both of them are Princesses of their families. Cooking was beneath them. But after seeing what their man can do, they have this urge to do it as well.

The trio worked on their food in complete silence as they wanted to make it perfect.

After a couple of short hours, everything was done, and the group sat down at the table.

“A pair of Princes contacted me. I wonder where they got my talisman inscription information,” Xiao Tian Long commented as he took a bite of the Fierce Beast meat.

The pair of girls perked up, especially Qin Xingxuan.

“Which ones?” She asked curiously.

“Prince Yang Lin and Prince Yang Zhan.” He replied, looking for her expression.

Her eyes flickered for a second before she commented.

“Be careful of Yang Zhan. He is the Tenth Prince. He has no claim to the throne. His mother was just a concubine. However, his talent is in fourth grade compared to Prince Lin’s second grade.

He has amassed quite a following and a considerable amount of wealth.

My family is supporting Crown Prince Yang Lin.” The girl explained to him.

“Hmm, and does Prince Yang Lin want the throne?” He asked her curiously.

“...Well… I don’t know. I am not interested in politics my goal always was reach Xiantian.” She said with a rosy cheeks. The girl didn’t bother with these things.

“From what I heard about Prince Yang Zhan, he has more followers in the Seven Profound Valley Martial House.” Lin Fengyuan heard about it, but she doesn’t care much about stuff happening in Sky Fortune City. After graduating, she would have been going home to Green Mulberry City.

Or should have been, as with Xiao Tian Long, she has no idea where she should end up.

“I would say the Tenth Prince is more ambitious and is ready to do what is needed to become the Next Emperor.

His character attracts more Martial Artists.” The Lin girl added what she heard from the boys talking about the Cloud Prince.

“I see. I guess I would have a chat with both of them before I decide what to do.

In the end, I could just take this whole place for myself.” He shrugged.

Being a conqueror in a Martial Arts Universe could be interesting. Just from the sheer scale of the 33 Layered Heavens would be… fun?

‘Something to think about it at a later date.’ For now, Xiao Tian Long wanted to troll and mess with people. 

“You mean becoming the Seven Profound Valleys Envoy for the Sky Fortune Kingdom?” Qin Xinxuan said as she realised what he meant.

“Maybe? Or I could just become an Emperor with my cultivation at some point.” 

The pair of girls needed to double-take after hearing that.

“Won’t that just get in the way of your training and cultivation?” The Marshal’s granddaughter commented on that choice.

“That's the thing. You need to think about efficiency, " he replied to her before looking at the house being built behind them.

“This here would accelerate our cultivation by a considerable amount.

Our only issues would be the pills needed to transition to greater realms, like Xiantian. 

That is why I consider my hobbies on the side. Maybe one of them is to become an Emperor.” He said the last part with a shrug.

He was considering his options. Unlike regulars, he doesn’t need to spend 90% of his time in resource hunting…

“Umm… Being an Emperor isn’t a hobby. It is a responsibility and work…” Qin Xingxuan replied with a nervous smile.

“Depends. You do know that you can delegate work?” He said with a chuckle, before getting a bit serious.

“I will meet both of them and decide on something. To make sure the situation doesn’t get out of control.”

The pair didn’t know what to say. Xiao Tian Long was just strange like that!

Qin Xingxuan started to think that he had something behind him, something behind his wealth, something that allowed him to be so nonchalant about cultivation and resources.

Not that she complained that cultivation is becoming easy for her.

“If you think you should interfere, then by all means.” The Marshal’s granddaughter, in the end, simply shrugged. Whatever he does, it’s his choice. She knows that regardless of the outcome, even if Yang Zhan succeeds, he won’t touch her family. They are the only ones who have Houtian powers in the Kingdom.

If something happens to even one Houtian, then other empires would interfere. And Seven Profound Valleys wouldn’t do a thing.

As long as the resources are flowing to them, that is. And none of the subject Empires would dare to interrupt the flow of resources.

After eating their food, Xiao Tian Long responded to both of the Princes.

To Yang Lin, he simply replied that he would come to visit one day. While to Yang Zhan…

Well, he sent an interesting message.

He said that he was confused. He thought they were enemies, as Zhu Yan, Yang Zhan’s cousin, was antagonistic with him, Xiao Tian Long, who was close friends with Lin Ming. Zhu Yan had provoked Lin Ming before in front of people and stolen his girl.

In other words, he was messing with the prince. He can already imagine that ambitious Prince running around demanding to see Zhu Yan!

After causing some chaos, Xiao Tian Long wondered what he should do next. 

Sadly, after eating such potent food, he doesn’t feel like sleeping or even lazing around. Hell, he can’t remember the last time he lazed around!

Instead, he decided to train! He is feeling close to that breakthrough, so he decided to practise. 

His goal was to train ‘Flow Like Silk’ so he could improve his energy flow and eventually master vibrations. Can you imagine when he is using his Sword Intent with vibrations?

He could make them faster, deadlier to flesh, and even barriers or shields. 

Though he would need to combine those, he also copied that fragmented Jade Slip Lin Ming.

That art teaches how to weaponise vibrations.

So without wasting any more time, he began to practise.

His girls didn’t waste time either. Both had piles of things they needed to study. Xiao Tian Long gave them more than enough material and resources to keep them busy.

Qin Xingxuan was close to grasping the First Layer of Primal Chaos Theory, it is part of the Chaotic Virtues Combat Meridians. Upon this breakthrough, her body would become far more durable. 

Lin Fengyuan, who had just started, was still refining her energy to begin the process. However, she could already feel the difference. The girl is certain that she should attend the next Ranking War.

To get more Essence Stones and to impress Xiao Tian Long!

As the trio were practising, the Capital was in turmoil. News about Xiao Tian Long’s challenge to become a core disciple was in the air.

For such basic requirements, everyone is certain that it's just a formality; the Seven Profound Valleys want him to join the main sect. To become a member of the Sword Faction, to become a direct disciple.

That made them all excited about such an opportunity. They all want to be friends with him now, while others want to figure out his roots! 

What about his relatives? Family? All of that! They don’t know that he appeared in the world, so they're going high and low to find out anything they can about this guy.

Yet… all they found was that he was friends with people from the Lin Family. One of his women supposedly was from the Lin Family, Lin Fengyuan. Then he was close friends with Lin Ming, the guy who took second place.

Lastly, he was very close, and it's confirmed that Qin Xingxuan is his lover. But that’s beside the point… Mashal’s Quarters are something no one except the Royal Family can touch.

So all they have to work with is the Lin Family of Green Mulburry City.
