ATG: Formation Master c23

A pair of Silver Flood Dragons opened their eyes as they heard the sounds of walking.

They lifted their heads and looked at the source. What they saw made them see red!

“Humans! You dare come before us after you killed our child! You two will die!” One of them roared, sounding like a male. At least to Cang Long.

“Why don’t you look into my eyes?” The Prince lifted his head as he looked at the flood dragon’s eyes.

“You—”

CRASH

One of them dropped to the ground, its eyes looking blank.

“What did you do?” The other flood dragon roared, moving towards Cang Long. The pair’s eyes made contact. The Prince’s eyes flashed blue before the dragon collapsed midway.

The Prince needed to move aside as the beast moved while it lost consciousness, so it was a moving fall.

“H-How did you do that?” She had seen this before, but. How!?

“When you develop Mindscape, your soul begins to cultivate. As a passive effect, one develops perceptions to see other minds through eye contact.”

‘The only other person who can do this, or more like has a form of it, is Chi Wuyao. As crazy as it sounds, no one else developed mind arts.’ 

Cang Long is certain that this is on purpose. This place is more like a dumb drama universe than a proper cultivation verse.

“People naturally already have the talent to see what kind of person just by looking at people's eyes.”

The Prince shrugged.

“You pick up a thing or two when you are in the Royal Family. My father and mother have a knack for this before I even shared my arts with them.” He explained as he walked over to the first Flood dragon.

He looked at the blank eyes and went into his mind. Implanting several mind formations.

Once he was done with the first one, he went to the other one and did the same.

With both done, he pulled them in with his chains into his mindscape.

“Is that so? I never knew such a thing… for us Fairies of Frozen Cloud, it’s people's aura.” Chu Yueli replied, pondering on this. Now that she has this much time to do nothing, she can ponder on these weird things like souls, minds, aura and such.

“I thought as much. You girls practise water-related arts, so aura and energy fluctuation observation is given," He said as he looked at the cave.

He had no time for a visit, so maybe another time.

He turned around and looked at Chu Yueli.

“Let’s go, I have another dragon in mind. It’s at Scarlet Mountain Range.” The Prince said as he began to float.

“Oh? It’s close to my discipline’s home. We can visit her.” The fairy commented.

“Your discipline? Never heard that you had one.” He looked surprised as she joined him in the air.

“I found one recently. More precisely, a year ago. You could say I was a bit devastated after thinking that I lost my sister, so I went to explore the Empire and eventually stumbled upon a talented girl.” The fairy explained to him.

“Oh, do tell more about her.” He looked curious as the pair began to fly towards the location. 

“Her name is Xia Qingyue, and she has 36 Profound entrances. She picked up the Frozen Cloud art extremely easily. On top of all this, she is extremely driven.” The fairy told him about her discipline; she was very excited.

“Hmm, interesting. Her talent is indeed exceptional. However, what you said could lead her to have ambitions beyond Frozen Cloud.” He casually added that.

“...that is a possibility.” She didn’t deny that.

“Well, we will visit her so I can observe her.” He shrugged.

The fairy immediately got a little bit nervous, she saw what he did to traitors.

“I don’t think she has hidden motives.” Her voice couldn’t hide her worry.

“She is planning to marry a cripple boy, out of duty and promise to her father.”

“And Frozen Cloud allowed that?” He asked in a surprised voice.

“Your Profound Palace dominance made us accept such disciplines.” She looked at him.

“I see.”

The prince and his fairy spend two days flying towards their next location, during which time they cultivate and cuddle.

The Crown Prince has reached the Realm of Thrones and advanced to the second Realm, while Chu Yueli only advanced to Emperor Profound Three. 

It was clear to her that Mindscape helps him advance at an absurd speed. This was especially clear when they were cultivating next to each other.

Such an advance made her giddy to learn it as soon as possible.

Regardless, the pair arrived at their destination.

Cang Long landed in front of a large cavern entrance. Chu Yueli was next to him.

“I have heard that this place is named after this Fire Dragon. It has been here for a considerable amount of time.” The Fairy of Frozen Glass said to him.

“I see.”

As he walked over, a pair of draconic eyes snapped open. The yellow eyes with black slits looked at him.

“Human, you dare interrupt this King’s sleep?”

“Oh? King? Quite an arrogant move for an overgrown lizard. This Crown Prince demands that you kowtow and beg to become my mount.” Cang Long is well-versed in ‘proud’ talk, too.

**ROAR**

The beast roared as it released a torrent of flames at the prince.

The Formation Prince motioned, and a Formation wall manifested before him. It absorbed the flames and redirected them back at the Fire Dragon.

The flames didn’t do that much damage, but they surprised the beast as it emerged from the cave and looked down at Cang Long.

“Your tricks won’t—”

The beast didn’t finish as they made eye contact, and it collapsed on the ground with a loud thud.

“Like I said. Kowtow and I might make you my mount.” The prince looked at the collapsed form of the dragon.

He walked closer, looked into its empty eyes, and entered its mind. He began to form mind formations inside his psyche.

After a couple of moments, chains rushed from the ground and began to pull it into his mindscape.

The Crown Prince then walked inside the cavern, where he found fire grass and a fire orb.

“What is that? Is this the source of the Dragon’s power? I never imagined that this beast would reach Emperor Profound.” Chu Yueli noticed the orb he was holding.

“Indeed. It’s some sort of concentration of fire energy. I can use it to diversify my herbal farm.” He commented as he threw the orb into his mindscape.

Now that he has two, the third one is on the Demon Continent. He would need to get there somehow.

He plans to conquer the Phoenix Empire before moving on to the Demon Continent with that ark. 

He does not have any specific plans for that place. If the Empress is unreasonable, he will need to conquer it as well.

“I see. Well, next is the grass.” 

She looked at the grass, summoning her sword, but this is where Cang Long summoned a shovel.

“Don’t leave the roots behind. I will plant these in my herbal farm.” He threw one shovel to her.

“...alright.” 

This is the first time in her life that she will work such a job…

After collecting all of the fire grass, the pair flew past a waterfall and a small town and then arrived at a backwater city.

The Profound Energy in the air was thin, and there was nothing of interest here at all.

“This is where your discipline is living?” He was a bit surprised. 

He can finally see what a starter village looks like. Honestly, as someone who has spent all his new life in luxury, this is… strange to look at.

He couldn’t see this as a ‘starter village’ because of how basic it looked; even starter villages in video games have something going on.

Like in Pokémon, most of the regions have their professors living in the same town.

‘Then again. You have the Xia family living next to the Xiao Clan. I can pass it with that.’

“I know. The air barely has any Profound Energy. I told her to leave, but she is stubborn.” Chu Yueli sighed as the pair began to descend next to a pond. There was a girl sitting not far from this pond.

As they landed, the girl opened her eyes. She was confused, as she didn’t recognise the signature.

It was a fairy, but far too strong for her Master. That was until she saw who it was. It was indeed her Master! 

“Master? I didn’t recognise you.” The girl said with a confused gaze. She can tell that something was odd about her. The fairy’s profound energy felt formless compared to previous rigidness. 

And of course, the sheer pressure she can release.

“Qingyue. It appears you reached True Profound. Congratulations.” Chu Yueli nodded, satisfied. She then moved to the side, showing the man behind her.

“I want you to meet. His Highness, the Crown Prince Cang Long. You might have heard of him as the Formation Prince.” 

The girl’s eyes widened as she immediately got up and cupped her fist, greeting the prince with respect.

“It’s an honour to meet the Crown Prince. I am Xia Qingyue, disciple of the Fairy of Frozen Glass.” She was introduced as a disciple of Chu Yueli. At the same time, part of her wondered how this happened. Why is her master with a man!? Not just any man, but the most famous one of them all!

“I have heard about you. One of the most talented girls the Frozen Cloud has seen.” He nodded, moving forward.

Now that Xia Qingyue could pay attention, he noticed his black eyes with a deep tint of blue. She had heard about this from the merchants her father spoke with.

The rumours about the Prince’s unique Profound Art. An art so strong that he can fight people from other realms above.

But what got her attention even more was his pressure; he didn’t fall behind her Master!

‘Is he Sky Profound!?’

“Qingyue doesn’t know anything about that. But, Qingyue wonders, why is the Crown Prince with Master?” She asked curiously, moving her head to the side.

He looked at Chu Yueli, who blushed a bit. The blush is something Xia Qingyue noticed.

“Your Master is most likely to become one of my future wives at some point.”

“...Eh?”

The girl’s gaze turned blank as she needed a couple of seconds to process that!

Her Master!? Marry!? The Prince!?

“...Master… is this true?” She asked her Master.

“Well… I hope so. I still need to win him over, completely.” The Fairy crossed her arms under her considerable breasts. She is… okay with her progress. They kiss a lot and cuddle, and she is starting to accept that they will take the next step soon, as she feels that this is the only way she can get her Dharma Body and Mindscape.

“But… I thought that Frozen Cloud demands fairies to be chaste.” She said with even more confusion.

“There are exemptions to all rules. Like your situation.” Cang Long smiled before ‘poking’ her.

“I improved Frozen Cloud Art and made your Master and Palace Mistress even stronger. As a result, Frozen Cloud made an alliance with the Imperial Family.

You fairies will be working for the Imperial Family and will be fighting on the front lines soon.” 

Xia Qingyue’s eyes widened. That happened!? Will she be sent to the frontlines of some war!? She didn’t sign up for that!

“I do hope you are not thinking of sending my Qingyue to the frontline.” Chu Yueli got a bit defensive with her prized pupil.

“We will see. She is a great talent. Front lines are the best for rapid progress in cultivation.” He shrugged.

The Prince has a small bone to pick with this girl. He knows the story about her. He knows that she got carried to the top without any hard work. All she did was sit like a lotus flower and get fed resources.

The plot power is strong with this one.
