“You can have your duel after I finish speaking with him,” Alexis complained to Jaden. She can’t believe this guy can be annoying like that.

“Fine. Then do your talking.” The brown haired teen complained back as he pulled out his deck and began to check his cards.

Seeing that she was free to talk, or should be! As there are more morons around them!

“Follow me! We are going to find a private place!” She grabbed Raynor’s hand and began to lead him away.

“Giiiiiii…”

A female voice kept on mumbling in Raynor’s mind.

‘Relax, Valkyrie, this girl is far away from a relationship one could possibly get.’

“Hmph! I know females! This is just a stage before she falls head over heels for you! Who wouldn’t! You are one of the Supreme Rulers of the Spirit World!”

It took a moment for Raynor to comprehend that…

He does sense a powerful connection to the realm of Dragons and the White Tower. Slifer can feel that he can easily alter the state of beings under his control; all the dragons bend to his will. He could easily make them submit and become cards, forcing them against their will.

All of that is simple, now that he understands his power…

He knows that he is insanely powerful.

“Don’t let that get to your head. You are strong, but not almighty, you do realise that you took that power from me.

Someone can do that to you as well.” Lord of Dragons reminded him.

‘No doubt. However, one would need to offer me something incredible for me to accept a duel for my position.’

“True, that’s where your harassment came into play.” The ex-ruler of dragons said to Raynor.

‘That’s the thing I didn’t know I was harassing something.’ 

“...”

Lord of Dragons was speechless to hear that!

As he was talking with his spirits, the pair arrived close to the forest. Alexis looked around, and there were no people around them.

“There is a reason that I desire to learn about Duel Spirits and their powers. A year ago, my brother mysteriously vanished. 

He, alongside several obelisk blue, disappeared from the boys' dormitories in the forest.

The last thing I heard is that they did some haunted things with Duel Spirits. 

Before meeting you, I thought it was bogus, but now I know it’s true. Duel Spirits are real, and he could have summoned something that took him away.” The blonde monologued her story.

“That is why I… need your help.”

“You know that they are dangerous. Depending on monster type… they can be very dangerous.” He reminded her about that.

“I know…”

“Not only that, I won’t be teaching you something randomly.” 

His response made her frown, but then she hung on his words.

“Randomly? Explain.” Alexis asked to clarify.

“Like I said, it's dangerous, your life will be in danger; however, since you will be my girlfriend, I could try to guide you to the point that you will be strong enough to do your thing, eventually.” He pondered out loud.

The girl blushed for a second. Her prediction was on the spot. He will teach her! Because she is supposed to be his girlfriend!

“I-I will try to live up to your expectations.” She slightly bowed, very awkwardly.

“Relax!”

Before he could get closer, a burst of light, Valkyrie appeared.

She immediately hugged Raynor from behind like she usually does.

“He is mine!” The spellcaster declared, making Alexis confused.

“...Valkyrie…” 

“Hmph!” The brown haired spell user puffed her cheeks.

“...You are a Duel Spirit, and Raynor is human…” The blonde reasoned. A small part of her is feeling annoyed for some reason.

“Is anything romantic even possible?” The blonde asked, confused. Never did she even consider that anything like that was possible.

“...T-This…well… I mean…” She stumbled for a second before instantly recovering. “Even if I am a Duel Spirit, I can still love Raynor!” Valkyrie puffed. What if? Who cares! She can totally be his wife! He is already a Supreme Ruler who will live for as long as he wants!

It makes him the same as her!

“...I mean…I understand that…” Alexis massaged her forehead, this is… how should she put it…

Strange!

She is not an expert in this; in truth, it was never in her plans, but now, since she bet on it and lost, she needs to keep her word.

“Good!” With that said, Valkyrie ignored the blonde.

“ugh…” The Obelisk Blue girl is feeling out of her element, not knowing how to proceed.

“Let’s deal with Jaden first, then we can relax and talk in peace.”

“Yes, good idea.” The blonde nodded as the pair walked back to waiting Slifer Red and his friend.

“Finally! Let’s duel!” The brown-haired teen put his deck back into Duel Disk as he was ready to throw down.

“Okay, okay…” Raynor smiled as he moved away from Alexis. The girl walked next to Syrus, who was waiting on the side already.

The new Ruler of Dragon kin took his deck out and shuffled it.

‘Now, boys, I need a decent hand.’ 

His comment made them calm down, as against OG MC, he needs the best hand possible.

Once the deck is shuffled, he places it into his duel disk as it activates.

“Let’s Duel!”

The pair draw five cards. 

Raynor checked his hand; he smiled, his Valkyrie was back, and all of her support cards.

Mirror Force, Spellbinding Circle, Spellbook of Sacred Arts, Dark Pendant and Red-Eyes Juvenile.

“I start!” The Spirit Duelist drew his sixth card, which was Luster Dragon.

“Nice, let’s start with my Valkyrie!” With a hand motion, Raynor placed his spellcaster in attack position.

“Next, I set two face down and end my turn.”

“Sweet! Now it’s my turn!” Jaden drew his card and checked it.

“I fuse my Elemental Hero Burstinatrix and Elemental Hero Avian to fusion summon Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!”

The pair of heroes appeared on the field before rushing into the sky and merging into a green single-wing hero with a dragon head for a hand and a red draconic tail.

“Attack his Magician’s Valkyrie!”

The Fusion Monster rushed towards the spellcaster.

“Not so fast, I activate my Spellbinding circle!” With a hand motion, the trap card revealed itself.

A magic circle encased the Elemental Hero.

“Damn!” Jaden stopped his hype for a second and looked at his hand.

‘Ugh… let’s just hope he won’t destroy it next turn.’

The brown haired teen checked his hand; it was full of spells that were useless in this fight.

“I end my turn.”

“Great, then it’s my turn.” 

Raynor drew his card, and it was Blue-Eyes Juvenile.

“Hmm, I use two equip cards.” 

The New Ruler of Dragons placed two equipment cards. One was the dark pendant that boosts his Valkyrie’s attack and defence by 500, and the other card is a spellbook which boosts by an extra 300.

In Valkyrie’s free hand, a book appeared, and around her neck a pendant manifested. Her attack went up to 2400.

“That’s not good!” 

“Then I summon Luster Dragon in attack position!” 

A blue dragon carved from a gem manifested next to the magical girl.

“Valkyrie attack his Flame Wingman!” Raynor motioned to attack.

“With pleasure!” The spellcaster rose into the air before creating a ball of energy at the tip of her staff. “Eat this!”

The blast has sent Flame Wingman flying away as he shattered into a thousand pieces, Jaden’s lifepoints went down by 300.

“Nice combo! I guess these equip cards came with the spirit?” Jaden asked because he had already seen Raynor’s pure dragon deck. So it was strange to see spellcaster cards in that deck!

“Hmph! Maybe?” Valkyrie replied, making Jaden realise that the spirit can answer as well. It took him a second to realise that.

It's strange, as he's not used to this at all!

“Now, Luster Dragon attack him directly.”

“Oh crap!” 

The Dragon released a burst of flames towards Jaden, who needed to cover as hot winds slammed into him.

‘Damn…I can feel that!’

A few beads of sweat rolled down Jaden’s forehead.

His lifepoints dived by 1900, stopping at measly 1800…

“With this, I end my turn.” Raynor finished his turn as he only had Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes Juveniles in his hand.

“My turn! I draw.”

Jaden hoped for something good as he only had spell cards.

Worst case, he resurrects his Wingman, but that's the worst-case scenario.

As he drew his card, his eyes widened. It was Sparkman!

At that moment, he got a plan!

“First! I use Monster Reborn to bring back my Elemental Hero Flame Wingman!” 

With a burst of light, Jaden’s Fusion Monster returned.

“Next, I use this!” He showed his next card.

“De-fusion!” 

At that moment, his monster split back into two.

“Now I activate my field spell card, Fusion Gate!” Jaden slid in his field spell card, and the surroundings shifted.

“Now I activate its special effect, by banishing required monsters, I can special summon a fusion monster!

Check this out! I banish my Elemental Hero Burstinatrix, Avian and Sparkman from my hand, I can Fusion Summon!

Jaden pulled out a card from his Extra Deck and placed it in the monster field.

“Elemental Hero Tempest.”

[2800/2800]

A blue-suited hero with green wings appeared in front of Jaden.

“Now attack his Valkyrie!”

The Hero rushed and used his hand cannon-like weapon to release a blast towards Magician’s Valkyrie.

“Yeah…. How about… no?” With a hand motion, Raynor revealed his other face down.

“...Oh…crap…” Jaden knew this card very well!

Elemental Hero Tempest blew up into a thousand pieces as the effects of Mirror Force activated.

With that said… Jaden only had 1 card in his hand, and it was Kishido Spirit.

A completely useless card in this situation.

“No way… Jaden has only one card in his hand and field and no monsters!” Syrus was in a bit of shock when he saw Elemental Hero Tempest, a Fusion Monster made from three monsters. he was certain that his friend would turn this duel around!

“Yes, but Raynor still hasn’t shown any of his powerful dragons or used any decent combos yet,” Alexis replied with crossed hands. 

This was a simple duel where her new boyfriend simply beat down Jaden before he could pick up the pace.

“...True…” Syrus stiffly nodded. He still remembers how Raynor started spawning dragons… not summoning but spawning!

“I end my turn.” Jaden ended his turn as he had nothing… no monsters, a useless spell card and a field spell that he couldn’t use.

“My turn.” Raynor drew a card, it was a Seiyaryu. In this situation, it was a useless monster card.

“Let’s end this, Jaden. Valkyrie attack him directly.”

The Brown haired Magical Girl raised her staff and released a blast at Slifer Red, who was looking at the incoming attack with wide eyes.

BOOM

His life points, which were at 1800, went down to 0.

“And that’s the game, Jaden.” Raynor did a hand motion, and for a second, the brown haired teen just stared at him.

‘Did he just copy me?’ For a second, he wondered if this was deja vu.

“Ugh! I want a rematch!” Jaden complained that he felt he could have done better if he had a better hand!

“Not today.” Alexis walked over; she looked like she wanted to talk to Raynor.

“C’mon…” 

“Nope, I have things to talk to my… boyfriend.” She said the last part with a strange tone. This word is alien in her vocabulary.

“...fine, tomorrow is Saturday, so short classes we can duel early on!” Jaden realised that he was already burning with a fighting spirit.

“I will join, I want a rematch.” She nodded while looking at Raynor.

“Hah, we should duel with high stakes.” He grinned for a second, making Alexis a bit worried.

“Maybe not? Not that I can offer anything else.” She replied, but then she realised that she had stumbled.

“Oh really?” He grinned from ear to ear.

“Maybe NOT? I am fine as it is!” The girl got defensive as she realised what he was hinting at.

Sadly, Jaden had no idea, as he looked clueless.
