So I drew all that in one sitting. This is kind of a game changer. I tweeted a little about this, but I'll share it here too: this week I've made some discoveries, namely that the speed of Dresden Codak is held back by psychological issues on my part and not mechanical ones. I don't talk about it online much, but I deal with anxiety, and while it's ever-present, I never realized how much of an impact it had on my work and productivity until now. Just a few changes to organization (with the help of my amazing assistant) and, honestly, just believing in myself has turned a week's worth of work into something I can finish in a day. It looks like, ironically, I may actually be an incredibly fast cartoonist, but a sense of inferiority about not going to art school (and anxiety in general) has essentially kept me from letting myself be that. I'll probably jinx it by mentioning it here, but so be it. Thanks again to everyone who supports me here. I literally would not have made this breakthrough if we didn't reach the funding level to actually sit down and make this happen.
