Rubber Force Sixx #004
Added 2019-11-05 02:42:40 +0000 UTCI vastly underestimated the difficulty involved in colouring this one. Sorry it came in at the last second like this but I hope it was worth it! This, believe it or not, was one of the original old C6 concepts for Butterfly's hair, and I was excited to break it out here~ Of them all I think she's the one who changed the least (well except maybe Laura) in terms of appearance. Her concept here is also what I originally had in mind for Butterfly back before I went all shonen crazy on the whole thing. Sorry about that >.>
Thank you so very, very much all of you for spending your hard-earned money on my work. Y'all really do make my life fuller and more meaningful. I never really imagined I'd get to wake up each day and work on my strips like this. Seriously, I can't say thank y'all enough. Just know that I am *very* appreciative.
I included the full size of Sixx's face from panel 2 and Butterfly from panel 4 because I did them as stand alone images just so I could include them as bonuses! Also the last bonus image is Butterfly's design concept for her suit! I really hope y'all like it!

I adore plugsuits. ADORE them. I'm totally going to have a moment where they suit up, hit the valve button and get sealed up. How could I not? :D If you're referring to Ginger's use of PH levels, it's just made-up jargon for Pheromone levels. As for the Pherocites themselves, the rubber body is sort of like an elastic, expansive body surrounded a small crystal core.

2019-11-08 01:26:02 +0000 UTCWell, seems like we won’t be getting to see Trina just yet (even though it sure sounds like she is either Michelle’s second in command or the mission control, given that she was asked to contact the paramedics so they can take proper care of the victim), but we are getting to see this world’s version of Evita! And she certainly knows how to make an entrance, even if it wasn’t exactly one that Laura really appreciated… Wonder how well she and Michelle get along in this universe? Hard to tell the exact details at the moment, but given how Evita has chosen her words (when praising Laura for her role in the mission), it seems to imply that there might be some tension between them both (which is seemingly a constant in most of the universes they exist together in, with only one major exception so far); with Evita's issue being related to the fact that Michelle and her entire team are currently employed as part of a special government agency that has been set up to deal with these incidents, while Evita herself seems to be an independent operator (with her seemingly wanting to try and recruit Laura for her own team). Certainly curious to see how exactly their situation works! One thing which I have taken note of from Ginger's report to Michelle about the victim's condition is that her PH levels seem to have been drained (with the team managing to get there fast enough this victim were only drained by a quarter, but the medics are being called in just to be certain they're alright), which seems to suggest that this item is what those Pherocites (the name which Michelle had called that core by in #003) are needing in order to survive and potentially make more of themselves... What exactly did Ginger mean by that term? I do hope that we will get some more information about the setting soon, either by Laura getting a quick recap about the situation, while the team are returning to base; or we are shown a flashback about how she joined. As for the port in Michele's rubber suit, I had been thinking that that it had some kind of potential connection to the whole plugsuit concept from Neon Genesis Evangelion (with it helping Michelle and the rest of her team to dress up quickly for a rapid deployment)! Am certainly glad to see that I was on the right track with my train of thought... Will we get any detailed suiting up sequences for team members later on then? Just curious, since the concept would certainly be a common trope in this kind of setting, but if not; that'd be totally understandable.

2019-11-06 01:53:05 +0000 UTCIt's just a think that makes getting the suits on easy, since rubber takes some effort and sometimes they're in a hurry. All of them have it in some form. Just sucks the air out when the suit's on :)
