Added 2019-11-20 04:46:10 +0000 UTCWhew, sliding in just under the wire with this one. I've gotta start planning ahead better! Sorry for the delay yet again everyone. This strip's script changed like a dozen times, resulting in a couple of comedy panels that didn't make it in. I thought the comedy disrupted the sort of dark, but not too dark tone I've set thus far.
Though I've since written over them, the original scripts had Blackstone looking deadpan at Linda saying something akin to, "You are most certainly not who I expected." At another point, Blackstone was to assure Linda her friends were in her care to which Linda replied, "Oh yeah, that's totally reassuring."
And then I struggled to decide between setting this in a dungeon or a comfier room. I decided that Blackstone would prefer her 'new residents' be brought into luxury as she doesn't see any of them as a threat.
Then I began looking at interiors to French palaces and realized how big of a mistake it was for me to set this in such a place. French palaces are apparently the most elaborate, lavish settings this side of Anor Londo and good lord am I not even remotely skilled at drawing interiors/architecture of *any* kind. So I melted down for a short bit but did my best to make something recognizable. I hope it at least conveys the opulence I was going for.

2019-11-20 19:39:20 +0000 UTCOh wow, Ginger's also fallen under Blackstone's total control here; with her having been put through the same process as Trina was (complete with an Evil Costume Switch and her also developing some major bags under both of her eyes), becoming one of Blackstone's newest Stable Sisters. Makes you wonder what's after happening to all those people who were once members of Blackstone's group, but were freed from her influence, or ended up being affected by Xor's own manipulations! And Linda (who I really didn't expect to see here, but I'm guessing that Blackstone had wanted to make completely sure that there wouldn't be any potential loose ends or complications to deal with when she least expected it, so everybody who was in or around Michelle's mansion at the time of her kidnapping of Michelle seem to have been scooped up and taken back to the Blackstone estate) looks pretty shaken up now by Ginger's evil makeover and you can't blame her for this reaction... It really makes me wonder how exactly are any of our heroes going to break free of Blackstone's mental control (since she has already taken control of Michelle, Trina and Ginger, with not one of them having been able to resist her special technique so far); not to mention what Laura might look like, when we finally get to see her again (not to mention her personality), given that Blackstone's already used that move on Laura? But I'm getting the feeling that Blackstone might have already messed up, due to her having changed Laura to be more dominant. Something about Laura's dominant aspect makes me think she's just not going to be that easy for Blackstone to control or manipulate! After all, just look what happened to the items which had some traces of Xor's influence contained within them, which set off Laura's rage explosion in #1116... Does Blackstone really think she can handle that kind of raw power?
