I-'m trying out the downward slide presentation I see in webtoons and honestly I rather like it here. What do y'all think?
-Also, I'm going to try something new this week. Instead of doing all my panels at once and compiling them into a strip before posting it, I'm going to try drawing and finishing one panel at a time, then compiling them into a single strip at the end of the week. I think it'll be a fun experiment and means I'll check in more frequently. What do y'all think of this idea?
I'm grateful to you all who have taken time to message me, write me and email me with your support for me while I've been struggling these past few months (alright, years, but definitely moreso these past months) with my mental health. Being a mental trainwreck of a person is difficult. And very lonely. Y'all make me feel less alone, cared for and like I matter. I don't have words enough to thank y'all for that. 2021-10-11 01:04:02 +0000 UTCSome interesting plans for story format and panel work here: I do look forward to seeing how this concept plays out, but don't stress yourself out if any unexpected delays causes you trouble here. Back to the comic plot, it looks like Midnight, Sardonyx and Zircon (with her still super timid, thanks to the mind control which she'd been placed under having been shattered by Trina back in #1155) have finally made their way to the set of large gates which keeps the Blackstone Estate separated from the rest of the Kingdom; with just two guards now standing between them and their freedom! Unfortunately for the group, Ginger (who is still in her Aventurine persona) showed up at the worst possible moment, right when they were about to try and bluff their way past the guards; while also revealing to them that Trina's attempt to defeat Blackstone ended in total failure (with Trina being put through a strict 're-education' process which will bring her back under control) and she is here to bring all of them back; while not mentioning that she's got some potential back-up of her own... However, if the trio (or at least one of them) did get past all of these current obstacles and into the nearby town, would anyone there actually be willing to help them out, or even listen to their story? I remember what happened to Alexia in #740, when she had made her break for freedom from the Blackstone Kingdom and also attempted to report their more questionable practices to the local authorities; only to make the terrible discovery that Blackstone's powerful position and influence meant they could make any accusations against them vanish into thin air, with the local police both dismissing all the testimony Alexia gave them as merely being 'baseless slander' which had been directed against Blackstone and also implying that they would also be carting Alexia straight back to the Blackstone Estate against her own wishes; given she'd been classified as 'missing property'. And while things might have changed since that time, I'm doubtful that it'll be the case, especially if the town Midnight had planned to approach in order to get some help there is under Blackstone's direct mental influence; mainly thanks to where it is actually located in relation to the estate itself! Guessing we'll have to wait and see what happens next here, if the timing of when this encounter is actually taking place could end up helping our trio to escape or come up with a plan... Who knows?
