Yep

Just giving an update. This is what failing looks like. Well, that and a floor/garbage bin filled with crumpled up, torn-up failed attempts at panels. I can't produce what I want for this strip and it's driving me freakin' nuts. I'm only posting this so y'all can see that I'm still at it. Fingers crossed the final product will make the week of failing worthwhile.

I like the first sketch and wonder if we know the person tied to the rack. And the headshot is very good. The chair picture looks interesting as well. So none of these are failures, just working out how things need to be positioned.

Wild Card

Things are getting hotter, with every minute. By, the way, gorgeous Sixx facial expression. I can imagine how she, in full rubber pony outfit, approaches Trina with such an expression on her face. No words are needed.

The path of an artist is not an easy one. All good art requires pain and effort. I myself haven’t been blessed with artistic genes, but I do dabble in writing. Often, I get hung up on a single sentence or paragraph, unable to make it satisfactory no matter how much I try. Perhaps you are experiencing something similar, even though we work in different mediums. But what’s the solution? I don’t know. Usually I (eventually) solve the difficulties with persistence, but also by taking breaks and doing something else to let the mind work by itself in the background. Take care and don’t stress so much.

It happens. I've had times when reports I was worked upon just were not coming together. They just didn't scan well or they weren't saying what I wanted or... Then, at some point, I'd get an "AHA!" moment and progress resumed.

Why not do some Holiday one offs to cleanse? Then come back to this fresh.

The top one intrigues me, the way Blackstone is walking Trina towards Sixx. You can tell she’s trying to dig her heels in to no avail.

Thank you, I appreciate the vote of confidence :)

Failure or not, I'm liking the direction this is going. Don't be so hard on yourself. You are way more skill than I could ever hope to be.
