For that depth you would need a mix of helium and oxygen in the scuba tanks called heliox. Which is quite expensive so mostly just used by companies. Also as Gil did point out the decompression that Ken would need to do would take him several hours

250 metres is well beyond ordinary SCUBA gear for Ken, and anyway he'd need many long decompression stops on the way up. We'll have to wait and see if Eri turns out to be not just a world-class freediver but one with superhuman abilities like the three younger girls....

Looks like we'll be seeing a rescue plan unfold shortly.

i can only imagine her going freediving to get them back up, and him with the scuba gear, but only to find them stuck in room drowned or on the verge of it, idk i somewhat like that scenario, cause that is the danger of freediving :3

Of course in real world freediving competitions the divers nowadays have a lanyard that slides down the rope, so that if anything goes wrong the surface crew can haul up the rope together with the bottom plate and the diver. That's OK for a single diver, but with three there'd be a significant risk of the lanyards getting tangled up.

Clearly Ken is worried (and with his stopwatch, that probably means they’ve been under for over half their allotted time), while Eri is just exasperated, obviously believing the girls are pushing their limits again. Where does Tomokazu fall? Does he still have absolute faith in his older sister, or is there a brewing doubt with such an extreme depth in play? What’s Eri’s plan of action; is there a contingency?

okay so Eri only has two arms. If she finds 3 unconscious girls at the wreck, we'll see who she likes the least

So they are about 250 meters down. Yeah I agree with Eri tiring a rope around their girls ankles would have been a good idea XD
