JPDE OVA1 Bracket War - What about ties?

It occurred to me that I didn't specify what would happen in case one of the brackets ended up in a tie. That's because I hadn't really thought about it at first.
In case it does, there are two options I can think of. Either a game of chance -like a coin flip- or I decide who goes to the next round.
What would you prefer?
