Jokes aside, it really does help me a lot to expand the audience. Like, 85% of Dresden Codak's income comes just from this Patreon, so if you know anybody who might be interested, consider giving it a shot!

The opposite of obnoxious. Surviving, thriving even, to create more great work is 💯. I feel like there's a sort of subconscious trap that a lot of well-meaning creators (incl. myself in this...) fall into, which amounts to "ugh, online people who are *nothing but self-marketing* are dreadful, I want to never be like that" ... therefore the pendulum swings to "I will market myself by hiding in THIS CONVENIENT CAVE." Which, as we sadly know, doesn't actually work.
