Also, it just downed on me that, assuming Aya didn't 'gray out' and spill her air, she likely might actually have 10-15 seconds or so left before blacking out. (I recall they both lasted and short time after this point when they nearly drowned in the 'SS Aya.') Considering who these two are, I give her closer to 15, maybe 20 or even 25 seconds left before blacking out.

Third, how the heck are Aya/Cynchia and Saki managing to communicate? Aya and Chyncia had to resort to mostly gestures when they first met, and even for a while afterwards. By now, of course, they've developed over a time a dialect of' bubbleise' and can likely communicate most normal things, if not just about everything, underwater, but nobody besides them knows any of their 'language.' (Or are Saki and Chyncia/Aya not, actually, communicating, and just 'talking' past each other, with neither side understanding what the other is saying, but assuming they are. Sounds about right, actually.)

Two, how did Saki manage to make it to a full 7:40 before blacking out? I guess that's a result of spending 4+ minutes doing nothing, essentially static breath holding, although at depth. Aya and Chynchia blacked out sooner, but they've been doing some rather heavy labor down there, from finding something to pry to the door with, to actually doing so. (In hindsight, perhaps Cynchia giving her air to Saki wasn't quite the best idea - Saki would still be out, and Chynchia would only be running out of air about now, instead of inside the ship.) Honestly, I expected Aya to last about maybe 10-15 seconds more, but that's what exertion will do to you.

I was doing some some thinking, and three thoughts - One, Saki's unique talent apparently doesn't make any sense; her brain keeps working when her lungs are flooded and (possibly, more than likely not) her heart stops, and her system is out of oxygen, yet at the same time, that would make it impossible for her to ever black out, since that's what would normally happen by exactly the same method. Yet she clearly blacks out eventually. I guess that one time wasn't actually a result of running out of oxygen in her body outside of her lungs, but an actual medical heart problem? (I'd suggest getting it checked, but I suspect any doctor would simply suggest not flooding your lungs with seawater on a regular basis.)

I vaguely recall that Cynchia and Aya have positive bouyency when passed out. (Back when they nearly drowned after the porthole failed), they both passed out outside the ship at ~90 ft. Then they somehow made it to shore, despite Chyncia being in a coma for 2 days. (Although Aya was perfectly fine by that time.) I'm guessing that Aya pretty much automatically starts breathing and regains consciousnesses when her head breaks the surface, and after that, Aya wound up towing Chyncia to shore. Looks like she'll be doing that again. Although I don't whether Saki floats when blacked out or not. Anyway, they're outside the ship, and that's the important thing.
