OK, so I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what this series is about, but... Tone? Floatplane one? Are we talking about the historical real-world IJN heavy cruiser Tone, built with all her 8" guns forward to leave room for 5 seaplanes aft, spent the Pacific War with the carriers of the Combined Fleet? (And doing their reconnaissance work for them?) That Tone? So this is some sort of fantasy universe with the IJN from ~1940-ish?
