In my mind...what is happening is that the male scubadiver asked the freediving duo to take him to the deep wreck. Once they were in enclosed quarters, the male shut the hatch behind his back and relegated Chi and Aya to breath-held entrapment and servitude. His first ask was, obviously, that they take off their swimsuits, and after being forced to do a couple of poses the pair was awarded to take one breath from the reg. They wanted to let each other go first, but Aya, after noting that her older but less UW-resistant cousin started to burst out bubbles, gestured Chi to take in the air. Chi was no longer able to say no.
