I think a full tank would be slightly negatively buoyant - it might start to float when empty depending on material (steel or aluminium) and size.

2018-03-05 00:07:10 +0000 UTCSo this is, before Chihaya makes it back to the surface, which she certainly did, since she's not there, so... Chihaya will be surfacing within the next few seconds, who knows how the other two are doing. Rescue would be problematic - this guy SCUBA diving would ( I "think") certainly suffer from the bends if he goes a deep as Aya and Saki are and returns to the surface in time to save them. Chihaya wouldn't suffer from that issue, but likely can't make it deep enough to return. Also - waait a second, the way Saki's arm is around the end of the line, if she blacks right then out and sinks, then her arm wrapped around the line the way it is will keep her from sinking any deeper - stuck at -150 meters, but at least not headed to the bottom. Humm, best bet for rescue seems to be (assuming Aya makes it back) would be Aya getting her air "topped off" by Chihaya at -50 meters, then going down to get Saki, then a quick surface and return by Chihaya in time for another refill of Aya towing Saki on the way back up. Assuming they come up with a plan this complex.
