2018-04-12 02:52:29 +0000 UTCYou know, stashing a couple of buckets of air at various places around the ship (just invert and set against ceiling - bouyency alone will keep it there) might actually be a pretty good safety measure. This would go double for the SImons, which is twice the depth. Bring a couple of extra buckets and (for the Maru' at least) and you could spend 15 minutes down there for an extra-long dive. (Just be careful not to stay down too long, you're not immune to the bends using air stored down below!)

She was already under before this guy saw the dinghy, and he's put his gear on (quickly), swam down (at "normal" diver speeds), found Chihaya, and swam back to here. That's -at least- 5 minutes, and likely more like 6. Their meeting here, swimming back down than back up to the surface is likely at least over L30, probably 2 minutes. That's an 8 minute dive, which in all honesty ChihAya could actually do by this point, and with nothing else done down there either. 9 minutes might actually be doable, if just floating while inside the wreck. That's assuming, of course, she didn't get a "refill" from that bucket full of air we've been hearing about.
