"Siesta Beach is not just one of Florida’s best beaches – it is renowned for its soft, cool quartz sand and attracts scores of international tourists every year.

Even though it was autumn and decidedly not what would be considered prime beach season, Aya and Chihaya wanted to relax this evening after a full day of activity. It was now close to six in the evening and the sky was getting dark. The plan for the two was to swim a little bit in the gulf waters off the shore and then have something of a casual dinner at a restaurant back on shore.

Gently swimming along the sandy shelf adjacent to the shoreline and thoroughly enjoying each other’s company for the first time that day, both of the diving girls were about to happen upon a fairly surreal find along the sandy bottom, quite an accomplishment given their extensive history of diving together…

While Chihaya was off finishing the last of her assignments at SCF before studying for finals in the morning and assisting Yoshika with patients most of the afternoon, Aya did some chores both inside and outside the house. Aya mostly tidied Chihaya’s place up, but also had to make a run to the Home Depot for some new air conditioning filters and bathroom cleaner.

In addition to the household items, Aya would also pick up a can of Monster Energy Zero Ultra, a soft drink she had recently begun to enjoy; Chihaya was not the biggest energy drink fan but did enjoy some of the ones available at health food shops occasionally. On the whole, that Thursday had been a rather quiet one prior to the twenty-minute trip to the beach."
