The Beautiful Prey (美しき獲物)

Elizabeth Walters ("Saki") was up to her routine deep underwater shipwreck search...the only non-routine matter was that her only exit out had been blocked by a huge bonito shark (with the white of his eyes showing, i.e. hunt mode). So far, Elizabeth has been able to keep her calm, but the big fish won't go away....and after four minutes behind the hatch door, she noted her heartbeat slowly picking up tempo.

Should Elizabeth challenge him to a duel? But her opponent had fangs, non-blurred eyesight, boasted 500 lbs of flesh against her slim 90, could swim at whopping 18 meters per second, and - to top it off - could breathe underwater. The odds were slim, obviously. But how much longer could she wait? Sure, she trusted her will power and knew she'd never panic, but ultimately a blackout would shut her system off. Then there would be no way to propel her body to make the 50+ meters up to the surface.

<<....I'm only human>> she sighed secretly, and finally decided to hold out three more minutes to wait for a chance.
