I’ve been wondering about that too. Although it’s a shame we don’t know her exact times, it seems like a good bet that she’s not far off, either. Recall back in AGMG Saki claims she can last seven and a half minutes before blackout, and even after she’s locked inside of the USS Simmons she keeps a mental count, finally reaching her limit at 7:41, which is quite close to her target. Granted, the longer the Shrine Maiden goes, the more oxygen-starved she becomes, but even if her calculation is off by eleven seconds for EVERY minute after seven, and she says she’s gone ten minutes (notwithstanding it would take at minimum another minute to surface in such a weakened state), she still would’ve been underwater for 9:27, and would reach over 10:00 before surfacing. So yes, Saki’s numbers need to be taken with a grain of salt, but she’s also proven her guesses, even when air-deprived, are quite accurate.

Ah, note that we have become a bit silent on just how long the characters can do underwater...in the last "Sanctuary" episode, Saki is trying to time herself while becoming a bit delusional, so her count may not be legit :-)

"Much better than I am now..." would be something to see, seeing that Saki is incredibly good at the moment. She's clearly extended beyond her 7 minute plus time to blackout already. A 9-minute dive which she's probably now capable of should give her time to swim down to 200 metres, grab a tag (and maybe pose for a selfie...) and swim back up again. Of course if she's looking to explore wrecks at that sort of depth (or even deeper) she would need to be underwater correspondingly longer. But deep diving isn't only about time, there's also the pressure, darkness and cold, and we know Saki is prone to claustrophobia. So maybe she feels she needs to improve mentally as well as physically?

If I had to guess, this is actually happening right around the same time as when the Yaeyama-Maru duo began using the pool to train with Ken. Tomokazu seems unconcerned about the task being given to him, even as it appears he understands just how exceptionally talented his older sister is, which makes me wonder if he truly grasps that training with her could potentially be dangerous (this would actually be an ideal way to show whether Saki can rescue others from drowning the same way Aya can). I doubt it’s possible for him to even remotely keep up with the Shrine Maiden, though he was born to the same coupling of a Priestess and Navy Officer, so maybe he too has some experience freediving, perhaps able to hold his breath for 3-4 minutes? Whatever happens next can’t come soon enough, and this is a perfect opportunity to introduce another male into the overall narrative going forward.
