What would Aya be capable of lifting here? After all, she’s accomplished some truly miraculous feats under much more desperate circumstances (getting two drowned bodies and an anchor what looks to be 2 meters off the seafloor, and carrying two drowned bodies out of a shipwreck and (possibly) to the surface). Focusing on the more recent display, and assuming the anchor was, on the low end, 8 kg, you still have to factor in a 90 kg adult male, and a 50 kg adolescent female, both of whom were not buoyant at the time, meaning she was propelling 148 kg of dead weight, plus her own mass, with just kicks, after what had to be at least 8:30 underwater (Chihaya was essentially motionless, so she would have lasted almost as long as the cousins’ static apnea test later in the series). True, Aya didn’t get far, but the fact she made it anywhere at all showcases her muscular ability and oxygen efficiency. Here, though, she isn’t faced with a life or death circumstance, she has a coach, use of all of her limbs, and all the air her body could ever want, so depending on what sets she focuses on, the younger cousin could conceivably lift, bench, or pull upwards of, by my estimate, 250 kg!
