Projects Update Log #01 - The Month of Love

Hello thar, Meinos Kaen here...! Here with a first in its series blog about the state of things. With the team, but also with me because wow. It seems like I keep meeting incredible people and learning new skills (while also learning my limitations). And February is going to be a really eventful month!

1) Hawks of Bruyland (SWAKJAM Entry)

Me and a team of other developers have joined forces and submitted Hawks of Bruyland to the Sealed with a Kiss Jam! With this, I wanted to push the envelope a little and while it still is half a visual novel... It's also an RPG and a management game, as you can see from the screenshots! This system will now also be added to JPDE1REFRAIN and JPDE2!

The contest judging phase and started! We hope to do well and, if interest persists, we will put out more adventures in this new world!

2) JPDE2 IS COMING BACK! 

Are you ready for Season 2 of JPDE?! Because Episode 10 is coming at the end of February! It's been a few weeks since the events of Episode 09 and it's time for our gang to head to Vacuo! They're going to meet new friends, old faces and have to contend with some nefarious plots... For the Red Fang is on the move.

Thanks to the lessons learned from Hawks of Bruyland, we are finally in a place where the exploration system can be overhauled and with it, the combat and progression system shall also be modified! Stay tuned! As always, updates will come first for 25$+ Supporters, two weeks later for all other Supporters, then a month later for everyone else!

3) BABELOMANIA - Early Access 2, VA and STEAM?!?!?!?

You may have seen that we ran, on our Bluesky account, a Casting Call for Tabitha's voice... And we've found our Tabitha! We're going to be adding her to the base game soon, and in the meantime we're working on the second Early Access update! Hope you've enjoyed the Taisho building, as we're now going to be heading outside into the chateau...

Also: I've started the process to bring BABELOMANIA to Steam! Maybe we'll make it in time for the next Steam-Fest, who knows... ;D

4) JPDE2 Valentine's Day Special... (TELENOVELA JPDE2?!)

Señores y Señoras, may I introduce you to Desiderio Caballero Ocampo and Violeta Iluminada Jacinta de las Nieves Salguera.

No, I didn't have a stroke. xD It's just that, you know how Madonna Arc is coming back? Well, I've decided to completely separate her works from the main game and, while talking with an artist friend who I subsequently roped into helping, I got a terrible idea... Which is now taking shape! What if we took JPDE Characters, which are fan versions of RWBY characters, and made fan versions of those in a telenovela world?!

This is setting up to be something absolutely insane. I hope you're gonna enjoy it!

5) Kinkeeper Reborn...?! 

Now, I hear you ask: but if the Madonna stories are going to take another shape, what is happening with Tales of the Kinkeeper? Oh, it's still happening... But it's becoming something different!

I can't share much about the project here, but it will be something very different from everything else you've seen from me so far... For example: what do you think about character customization for the protagonist? And what about gameplay inspired by Return of the Obra Dinn? And more! Stay tuned for further updates! ;D

6) And more...!

I've started getting into drawing and editing art for real! And me and ArsonicArtz are preparing some interesting stuff for you to fest your eyes on... >:3 Also, there's the music with NailikNoteworks, our Twitch Streams, SO MUCH stuff that I can't wait for you to get your hands on!
