Hi! So thanks for the context on Derek we will try to keep that in mind but def still gotta call it out bc the optics do look bad! especially when he pops up in that damn locker room lol . Also yea I see they try. to give Sott his lil aura moments but they dont work to me bc he's a character that seems to be all bark no bite, literally I would feel like Stiles is more capable of handling a situation than Scott is. And for Jackson we do recall that but we thought there should be more too it it explain his behavior. Like yeah I just think he can be so much better hopefully he continues to develop bc I wanna see the growth!

He was originally 19 in s1 but then they made him 22/23 in this season.. despite it being the same year. They did the same thing with his age in his backstory. They really could not decide how old Derek should be ever. BUT I can say that he never did or does anything with Erica. He's just a flirt that doesn't always know boundaries (the grooming he experienced might play into that, if no one ever explained why what happened to him was wrong. which nobody did because they all died) (that's not me saying the creepiness is okay btw, he should not have approached Erica the way he did, but it could provide some explanation) Honestly I think Allison and Lydia making out would be a better and more interesting plot choice. It would keep Allison from turning, it would get Allison away from Scott, it would give us more Allydia screentime, and it would mean Allison is keeping an eye on Lyida, Winning all around lol I loved the ice skating scene (once they were actually on the ice), even Allison and Scott. Because Allison looks cute and Scott got hurt a lot. This is the second episode where Scott has claimed that everything is his responsibility and it ISN'T. The choices other people make, of their own free will and with all the information, is none of his damn business. I get not wanting people to get hurt but it's not up to him. He really think he's some savior of the world or something and it's super annoying This show really tries to paint Scott as some tough good guy but there is literally no way he could even MATCH a born wolf who is now an alpha. And is older than him. No fucking way. And honestly he shouldn't have had such an easy time with Erica and Isaac either. He hasn't been a wolf that much longer than them really, and they're as weak as they are because they're new. They've had almost no training. AND they're on ice. Which makes the fight just silly. But I could absolutely watch Derek's alpha transformation, with that music, forever. Jackson's backstory and motivations were given previously. It's not just that he was adopted, it's that he feels inadequate due to it. So he's always trying to prove himself. To himself and anyone he can. His parents didn't seem great during the parent teacher conference either. They're not like.. bad, they're just... Jacksony. So Jackson sees what being a werewolf has done for Scott, it made him "better", and Jackson needs to be the best because what is he worth if he can't be the best?? The overconfidence and overcompensation aren't for no reason, in my opinion (and thank you for the yap permission on my last comment <3 yapping about shows i love with people who also love them is so much fun)
