we actually hadn't seen maze runner until someone on yt suggested it to us! we just had heard his name but hadn't seen him in anything, our maze runner reactions are on here as well LOL & yes Scott has been such a journey for us we got so much heat for critiquing him in s 1-2 but we can see how he grows over time! lol

2025-12-18 01:16:38 +0000 UTCI’m not finna lie, for the longest I had no idea what people were talking about when they said Scott wasn’t a good friend to Stiles. When I watched this series as it aired, I remember looking forward to Scott and Stiles’ friendship (and Stiles’ relationship with his dad) the MOST. Now, upon watching with y’all, I’m seeing the very many, NUMEROUS moments Scott could have shone up for Stiles, but he just … didn’t? This season was among the most egregious, especially with what happened in the finale (Stiles being abducted). So I definitely empathize with where y’all are coming from on that front. P.S. A while back, during Season 1, Christina had a moment where she was like “I THINK THAT’S DYLAN O’BRIEN?!” and y’all made plans to watch The Maze Runner and it was so surreal to me bc I watched The Maze Runner after seeing Dylan’s first role as Stiles. The concept of people getting into Teen Wolf due to his performance on The Maze Runner is so dope and mind-boggling to me.

Derek might be new to the alpha scene - he's still learning about that role himself - but he's been a werewolf his whole life! He has practice and knowledge!! AND he's tough and also really really hot!! Why wouldn't that be someone you'd want to fight alongside?? Make it make sense. Scott's Anti-Derek stance and agenda + his Allison First motto + his Stiles Whomst?? behavior makes him so fucking unbearable Also unbearable: Gerard. That dinner scene?? I watched it when it first aired but in my rewatches I just mute it or skip over because I cannot get myself to care lmao Stiles is a goddamn hero and I wish someone would shove that in Scott's face. If Scott hadn't shown up when he did I don't think it would've mattered tbh. All Stiles had to do was get a better grip on that handle and it seemed like the paralytic was wearing-off and Derek was starting to move. Give it a couple more minutes they would've been fine. But nooo Scott always has to come in at the last second so everyone thinks he's the best I don't know if Derek keeping out of sight and having his betas initiate interactions is because he's Derek, he thinks that's how it's supposed to be done, he's overcompensating for a lack of pack and control (poor guy has a handle on like.. nothing except for his own werewolf abilities), OR if it's because he was previously arrested for murder and being seen talking to a teenager probably wouldn't look good out of context. Maybe he doesn't want to be accused of something again?? (at least this time Scott wouldn't have been around to cause the arrest) I agree this is one of the better episodes in the series. There's so much to unpack in all the non-Scallison interactions and not enough hours in the day to do it Oh and absolutely @ Stiles has insane chemistry with.. mostly everyone. He's Stiles. I don't care what the showrunners wanted, Stiles and Derek are the main characters for me. Lydia too. And the betas. Everyone else needs to take a step back (except for the Sheriff. and I guess Melissa can have a pass, but she's on thin ice having Scoot for a son)
