yea we were so upset at the end that we werent able to do a recap but up until they killed Boyd it was one of our fav episodes! the Derek pack moment was everything to us and like u said it made no sense to save the teacher like that fr she's no one in the grand scheme of things

They're sassy, they're brilliant, they're out here saving everyone and looking good as they do it. THE duo of all time. I have no idea how Gerard is still alive at this point, but I like to think of it as "death was too kind for him" y'know?? He caused so much pain and suffering that a quick death, or a relatively quick death, was not something he deserved. He should be suffering long-term. And being confined to a wheelchair, constantly in pain, with black goo coming out of all the places, sounds like the very least he deserves. I think they've said the bite has less chance of taking if the person doesn't want it, but what if the person GIVING the bite doesn't want to?? If the bite acts on intention and and will and emotion in one direction, why not both directions?? Like yeah the mountain ash is the biggest factor as to why the bite was rejected, but if that was the only thing then Gerard should have died already. There's no way he would've lived as long as he has. That's just a fun theory though, since I don't remember if we get an actual explanation. I just want Derek to have caused some kind of suffering for someone responsible for the death of his family. Peter can't have all the fun lol The 'previously on' still being Derek and Jennifer - gag me with an entire spoon If those moths or whatever the fuck showed up I would've thrown my ass outta that car or panicked so hard it would've been a pre-sacrifice sacrifice. The Darach could just ask me to leave and I would, just keep your moth / butterfly nonsense AWAY lmao Boyd & Isaac showing up to protect Derek is the kind of pack relationship a lot of Teen Wolf fics are based on. A pack acting like a pack. I wish we had gotten way more of it because it deserved to be more of a focus. For once somebody besides Stiles shows some level of Giving A Fuck about Derek beyond his usefulness and Jeff David can pry that care from my cold immortal hands I definitely think the way Cora relayed the messaged to Lydia was not far off from how Derek would've said it, but Derek would've meant it as a "stay away from Aiden because i (we) don't want anything to happen to you" message, not a "stay away from Aiden or my sister is going to physically harm you in a way that would defeat to purpose of asking you to stay away from Aiden" message. Hale's aren't the best with words, and are great at threats, but they do care a lot more than they'll tell you. Despite being objectively a good episode, I fucking hate this episode. The only reason I didn't have a strong opinion on Deaton hanging by the wrists is because it happened to two other characters, so he wasn't singled out, but that doesn't make it less fucked up. I guess that was the least lethal yet still dangerous thing they could think of?? Idk Boyd's death was so fucking unnecessary as was the way it happened. Boyd didn't need to die. And Derek didn't need more deaths and the guilt of "having caused them". AND he didn't fucking deserve to have his body used without his permission YET AGAIN. Not to mention:: the teacher shouldn't have mattered because she doesn't matter, Kali shouldn't have had such an upperhand in that fight, the others shouldn't have turned the power back on - especially with such little warning. They knew the Alpha pack was up there, and that everyone was under the impression the water was safe, literally anyone could've been hurt. The power getting turned back on is what really put Boyd and Derek at enough of a disadvantage that the twins & Kali could force one of the most painful deaths on the show. It's all fucking bullshit. The true alpha thing will never not irritate me. Its put on this pedestal, as if its better than any other alpha. Like the absolute disrespect to the Hales And I think Deucalion wanted both Derek and Scott. He and Kali both told Derek to make the right choice and kill his pack and join them. Deucalion wants a "true alpha" and a Hale - a well known name amongst werewolves.

That would be like them getting rid of Lydia because jackson is gone. And yea this was so hard to watch def the saddest ep so far it was so unexpected

It sucks that because Erykahs actress left the show they had to abandon so many plot points that were connected to her and Boyd and as well isaac. They kinda didnβt know what to do with his character anymore and had to use him as the βmessageβ from Deculion to Derek. If jeff was a better writer he could have figured something out but what can you expectπ I read somewhere that they originally wanted to form a bond between boyd and scott since he said in s2 he wanted to be like scott but then the erykah exit happened and they had to reshuffle the betas so that plot went to isaac. Also a stiles and erykah romance was one of them. They had so many plans but none of them could have come up with a solution for erykahs exit im just baffled π
