Stiles has always been hostile to Peter but he was just more sarcastic at that time. The only reason he was cordial during the talk with Cora was that he was trying to learn more. The Stiles we have now is more serious about death and psychopath because he has seen, felt, and done the same. He takes Peter more seriously than others, who seem to have fallen for the "I'm weak act" He knows Peter hasn't changed (as evidenced by him saying he is a creature of habit) and he doesn't want to lose the girl he likes to him (remember what happened with Allison?). As the season goes we've seen Stiles lose some of his goofiness to grow into a more serious, paranoid and anxious person and I don't blame him. He is surrounded by people that can defend themselves but also by death, it takes a toll.

I think it’s because Peter who isn’t a good person has all this money but his dad who he knows is a good man is struggling so bad so I think it’s just a lot of animosity for him
