Peter told Malia that the only info he got on her mom is a codename "The Desert Wolf" which Malia then said it's another way of saying a coyote. So she got her coyote abilities from her mom it would seem. In the last episode of season 4, Breaden said that she was chasing someone for a long time and their codename is "The Desert Wolf" so it's all connected.

Also welcome to my personal fav season I love how in this season we can see how much better actors everyone has become in my opinion like this season opener alone everyone brought their A game. Cant wait to watch this with you guys💚🫶🏾
