2025-12-02 01:40:02 +0000 UTCJust a little insight on Stiles has always used sarcasm as a defense mechanism, and I think it’s how he expresses pretty much all of his emotions. He also has really bad attachment issues you can see it in season 4 when he taught Malia that nobody gets left behind, and in 5x01 when he panics about everyone being late because it’s their last year at school together. Ever since 3B he’s been on edge, and in my opinion Allison’s death definitely made his attachment issues worse. Every time someone new enters the group he immediately gets defensive and leans into sarcasm (like he did with Isaac). He also has major trust issues now. Can you blame him tho like his teacher ms. Blake was a serial killer who kidnapped his father and tried to sacrifice him along with his friends, then there is the guidance counsellor who he told intimate details to about his life turns out she is working with the alpha pack🤦🏾♀️and Scott’s trusting nature after everything is definitely starting to frustrate him like we saw previously. (I love scotts optimism tho everyone needs a friend like that💚) About the police station scene in my opinion I think he froze because it visually resembled what he went through in 3B. Back then, when he was under the Nogitsune’s influence, he saw all the blood and violence and cuz of that he just stood by the door, unable to go to his dad or help Lydia. That trauma would absolutely come back in a moment like this, which explains why he reacted the way he did. At least thats what im going with cuz his face in this scene looked like he was going through it. Hopefully that helps a little and i checked multiple times its spoiler free. I hate to even accidentally spoil 😭
