I get Scott’s stance on not wanting to kill people or at least not wanting it to the number one solution to a difficult problem. When Stiles was taken over by the Nogitsune, Scott refused to believe that killing him was the only option despite how many people dying because of him, so it makes sense that he would have the same stance with Tracy and Logan knowing that they were experimented on against their will. That being said I wish they approached this story line better because this has been a conflict for him since 3A. Scott is honestly one of my favorites since S1, but seeing him from both of your perspectives made me realize how poorly he is written as a main character. In S1, when Derek told him that killing Peter might turn him back to being human, he wasn’t against it at all then he literally tried to kill Gerard in S2. Him becoming a true alpha because of his “strength of character” after plotting the murder of someone who is only alive because the writers wanted keep them in the show makes the killing is always wrong narrative so much more frustrating. It becoming obvious that they’re not keeping certain characters alive for the plot, they’re doing it because they like the actor. Both S3&4 could be done without Gerard and Kate and it would still play out the exact same way. It’s the same for Peter. He’s a fun character, but he didn’t really do anything after being resurrected (which was a random thing they threw into the show without explaining). I love the intensity of this season, but some moments could have been better if they had prioritized storytelling.
