Comic - May (Part 1)

The announced comic has arrived! It is five pages long, and while right now it is completed, it will soon get a re-post fully colored and with additional details. Oh, and the comic includes text, too! While it is not in the comic itself, I took the liberty of writing in the manner of a short story. The text file is going to be posted together with the final (5th) part of the comic, in case you'd like to have all of the text bits together.

[FAIR WARNING]: The comic contains heavy spoilers for certain story events in The Twelve Fanatics. If you wouldn't like to spoil yourself, playing up to the end of Chapter 9 is recommended!

The Verstermarie is a rural village located southeast of the capital city in the country of Gertland. Surrounded by beautiful greenery, this haven has been undergoing restoration in recent days allowing it to regain a radiant glimmer and a peaceful atmosphere more and more every day: the roads have been cleaned, the lake next to it rid of rubbish from the days of seize and most houses rebuilt to give its inhabitants a cozier place to live in.

Amazed by the place’s renewed beauty, Lily couldn’t stop herself from looking around at every corner as she approached one of the houses near the lake’s shore. She had been invited to spend a few days with Solveig at her house in celebration for the first and most laborious part of the village’s restoration process, and the young woman couldn’t help to catch her friends’ bliss looking at the results as she walked through the grassy paths. Hoping her understanding of the directions in Solveig’s letter were accurate, Lily waltzed up to the front of one of the houses’ doors and knocked three times.

“I’ll get it” a familiar voice said, coming from the inside. Lily quietly sighed and shrunk her shoulders in relief.

The door opened promptly, revealing that it was indeed Solveig behind it.

“Hey!” She said energetically as she raised her hand up high. Lily responded vocally with the same, waving with her hand as lifting it with her backpack would be likely uncomfortable.

“Oh, she’s here?” another voice asked from inside the house.

“Hello! Thank you for letting me stay” Lily said, waving at the lady behind Solveig. She chuckled in response and smiled fondly.

“We’re very happy that you agreed to come visit, dear” she said, turning towards Lily, “you should’ve heard Solly, she couldn’t stop talking about how much she wanted to show you around!”

“Mama!” Solveig called by turning her head around before shrinking and giggling afterwards; Lily giggled in response too.
