“Wow, you’ve done so much in here” Lily said in awe, “the house looks really pretty both inside and outside”
“You think so?” Solveig said a moment before taking a huge bite at the equally sized sandwich in her hands.
“Solly has indulged me with every little thing I say I’d like to have” Marianne said to Lily as she sat down with them at the table, bringing a rather large pitcher with a pretty colorful juice in it “and with the support we’re getting from the alliance, we have been fortunate enough to get all the resources we need”
“Yeah, the general was here a few days ago and brought a lot of things along” Solveig said between bites “it’s honestly more than what we need, but if they can spare it we won’t say no”
Lily giggled and smiled at Solveig a moment before her eyes gravitated to the giant pitcher that just found its way onto the table in Marianne’s hands.
“What is that?” She asked, leaning towards it.
“Oh, it’s one of our specialties here!” Mariane replied, grabbing the pitcher and pouring it into a mug immediately afterwards, “it’s a juice mix made from many local fruits. Here, have some!”
“Thank you!” Lily replied politely, barely helping herself from doing a bottoms up with the mug.
After a few sips, however, she abandoned her inhibition and proceeded to gulp down the contents of the mug faster than she could realize. Marianne chuckled.
“Did you like it?”
“This is so good!” Lily said, looking at the mug in complete shock, “how is it so good?”
“Everything mama does is amazing” Solveig said, taking another gigantic bite off her sandwich, “only she knows how to make the most delicious moose cheese around here”
“Oh, you’re going to make me blush!” Marianne giggled, quickly tapping the shoulder of her daughter with her hand.
“Wait, that’s moose cheese?!” Lily exclaimed, “you can milk a moose?!”
Amidst constant biting of food and drinking of several mugs of juice, the three women continued chatting over a pleasant meal.
