Thanks! I'm glad to hear that this once communicated as strongly as I was hoping it would, particularly with the claustrophobic feeling. At first, I was thinking of her on a rectangular couch with her back arched, as if she was pushing into the corner, away from the viewer. I wrestled with that for a long time, but then once I curled her forward, and switched the furniture to a round chair, it seemed like it all started coming together.

(Guess I reached the character limit per comment just now) the more subtle psychological pieces as this one. Sometimes the pleasure of the charge lasts longer than that of the release, one could say. At any rate, a brilliantly executed piece! And yes, the tools on the couch do indicate the thinking of a one track, uh, two track mind…

One of your stronger pieces, visually and conceptually, IMHO. Visually, the value structure is tremendous, very solid and subtle in how it delineates the scene. Indeed, the lighting reminds me of a “hot” flash photo taken by one of Tammy’s dates, which isolates her as she awaits what is to come with trepidation. Her feet and couch going out of the frame on the sides and the bottom of the composition reinforce this claustrophobic isolation as well. Conceptually, there is a great “double” sense of anticipation for what is to take place in the near future. Obviously Tammy anticipates what is coming next, but just as importantly so does the viewer. We viewers are drawn into the intimate environment (by the visual elements described above) and become as equally involved in the anticipation of what is to come next with our imaginations as perhaps Tammy is with hers. While many enjoy your more explicit and revealing pieces (me among them), I also dig
