Thanks! I was a little worried about this one being too simple, or even too repetitive. But on the other hand, sometimes I just decide to draw what appeals to my own tastes, and hope that someone else out there will like it, as well. In addition to that, sometimes I think I overcomplicate these things for no real reason, when a simpler, stronger composition might make a more appealing piece. Meanwhile, it's interesting that you mention the "conversation." I was originally going to draw the ball in Maisey's mouth, then decided that leaving it out might leave more room for the viewer to make up their own story.

The value structure is really strong in this one, I think. Again, using the white of the board for her hair (and the stool) works well, especially with the contrast it creates with the black cast shadow areas. This contrast allows the grays in between to glow richly, especially on her figure. I also like how her gray breasts stand out against the white, opposite to how the highlights of the rest of her body on the left contrast with the subtly darker background values, lending an extra layer of sophistication to the piece. It also draws the eye to the right, where it is immediately returned to the left by the bright hair and dark cast shadows, which also reinforces the movement in Maisey’s upper body as she turns and regards the viewer. One of your more expressive faces too, I might add…should be one heck of a conversation between Maisey and her “viewer”!
