What I really dig, as Millie squirms on her “ready-made”, is the sly look in her eye as she regards the viewer. The ambiguity there is perfect…is the viewer welcome or not…does she want help, or to be left alone? Perfectly done! Gives the “wait list” sign added meaning too. Solid job on the rendering of the figure as well, and the composition works well, especially with the way her hair both flows off the edge of the Bristol (implying she is slowly scooting to the right) and simultaneously flips back up to the left, leading the viewer’s eye back into the piece. Sophisticated!
