In for a Penny, In for Two Weeks of Painting...

All right, thanks to everyone for being so patient while I've been away!  I've actually been busy painting this complete set of miniature paintings.  They're acrylic on 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Strathmore illustration board, or trading card size.  Tobie and I are working on an all-new andysdames.com, and these paintings will be the new profile illustrations to introduce the girls.  The photo isn't very good, but I've posted scans to the archive.

Originally, I was just going to do a single piece with a lot of faces, but felt that it wouldn't really communicate much about their personalities.  As such, my "two-day project" turned into two weeks.  It's the first time I've ever put all 14 girls in one project, and probably the last time I'll paint at this tiny size- they're way too much work!

If anyone would like to own the complete set of all twelve paintings, I'll sell them for $500 to the first person who types "sold" in the comments below.  International shipping included.  I'll message you for payment and shipping information.

Thanks, JC! I'm hoping it'll work out that way.

These are outstanding! Quality time invested and these should add a really good POP to your character bios and introductions to new viewers.

No kidding! When I started out with these, I thought "no big deal, I've worked at this size in marker." Then after painting for a while I realized that I could do a lot more with them than I could before, so I was able to drag this out into a much bigger effort than it would've been in the past. Still, I'm glad I did.

Size can be deceptive (and yes, everyone feel free to take that any way you wish). Working small has it's own somewhat counterintuitive challenges, no doubt. Makes you really appreciate the skills of miniaturists, working today and in the past!

Thanks! And yes, triggers are for killing and not until.

Came out great, they did! And nothing warms my cold soldier heart more than seeing that Dasha has proper trigger discipline.

Thanks, Molly! Glad you liked them!

Yeah, I had a feeling that spending the extra time on them would be worthwhile, and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Thanks, Pirate!

Heh, I'm tempted to claim the pirate forgot the quotation marks and put in my bid. ;)

Seriously, they're gorgeous. I know that they were way more work than you anticipated, but OMG!
