I've been asked why I'm so fond of cars from 1970 and 1971 in particular. It's not actually because those were the peak years for performance (though that's fun too), but the fact that the most outlandish designs all appeared at that time. Car bodies all became wild exaggerations of their previous versions, with styling features that were over the top. The '71 Cyclone was no exception, with that big pointed beak and giant gunsight in the grille that looked like it belonged in a cartoon. Great stuff!
